Fred s comes highly recommended! They run a fantastic business providing quality, personable, and honest auto services.I had a loss of feel and clanking sounds coming from my cars front suspension. Ray quickly diagnosed it, politely challenged previous work on its record, and showed me on the lift where the issue was.Within a week parts arrived, but the replacements were more extensive than expected. Ray and Fred made sure the car was running for an important trip over the weekend. Then promptly finished it out on Monday.Thank you! Will be coming back again!

Very impressive service. Stewart, the advisor, was helpful and professional when we had a family member s car breakdown near Fred s. The tech, Ray, got the car in the shop within an hour, correctly diagnosed the electrical problem, and made the repair quickly (at a very reasonable price). Thank you!

Fred's is a great local shop, I've gotten my oil changes done here for a while now and they're always up front and reasonably priced. They've probably saved me a bit of money too whenever I have a sensor go bad or a check engine light come on.

I went to Fred s yesterday to get maintenance completed on my Honda Civic before driving on a road trip to Ohio. Fred and his staff are a class act. They always are welcoming, do not overcharge me, and always answer my questions. I prefer them over Downtown Honda because they will take the time necessary to get it done right.

I popped a tire yesterday evening, called Fred's this morning, and they promptly had me booked to come in in the early afternoon to patch it. They estimated an hour for service, but I got a phone call letting me know they were done in only about 30 minutes. The speed of their turnaround in this whole experience speaks to their professionalism. Highly recommended.Service: Tires

Best auto repair, Fred has a great customer Servises, they technician have a lot year experience of what their doing .One best thing I was very satisfiedThey honestly.They always suggest parts need to be replaced, before they got broken.I will 100 % recommend for any car repair.

I went to this mechanic due to the positive reviews. First mechanic i have gone too in 20 years who didn't tell me i needed thousands of dollars in repairs.I went for oil change and Brake flush, refill fluid. Was done in about an hr. This was after they said 3 pm. I was so happy. They made my day.Ladies i would strongly suggest this auto repair place for your car needs. I had my brake pads and rotors replaced within less than 24 hours after making a phone call to Fred s. They were quick, thorough, friendly and reasonably priced. Dropped my car off, picked it back up, fixed, 30 minutes later! The person I spoke with was very nice, and this place was incredibly reasonable with pricing. Have been going to Fred's for a few years now and always receive exceptional service. Recently took my '13 Jetta in for just an oil change and tire rotation, but within 20 minutes of dropping off I received a call from one of the techs letting me know that my front and rear brake pads/rotors were quite worn and should be replaced. I didn't think twice about signing off because my car was already there and I knew they do quality work at prices more fair than any dealership; even with the additional work, my car was ready the same day! Unbelievable service from this shop. My car s alternator blew on my way home from work and my car died by the time I got home. I called them the moment they open and they gave me an exact quote for parts and labor. They told me they were booked for the day and couldn t get to my car until Monday. Well, they exceeded all expectations and after dropping the car off at 9 AM, they called with my car fixed at Noon. This is an auto shop that you can 100% trust to do right by you and your car. Unequivocal recommendation for your Wrigley car needs.

Our car had some major engine problems right before Christmas and Fred s took care of us the first business day after. We live in Alabama and were on a road trip to Chicago when our car broke down. Ray, our tech, was very thorough with his analysis of the problem, gave us an honest recommendation of the work that should be done to properly fix the issue, and was very timely in fixing our vehicle. After the work was done we drove over 750 miles back to Alabama and had zero issues. Five stars for Ray and the Fred s Team. Thanks for the amazing work!

Fast and very friendly service. I just needed a headlight replacement - Fred also caught a license plate bulb out - and that plus a washer fluid refill came out costing significantly less than the cost I d anticipated. Will definitely be back - it s nice to find friendly and trustworthy service!

It's February, its cold, my Nissan won't turn over. Nothing. I just replaced the battery and everything lights up so...? Fuel pump, starter, what? Towed it to Freds and they were perplexed..for a bit. They further chased down the issue to a computer chip that was hard to find, but they found the correct one after an exhaustive search, installed it correctly. Problem solved.They even apologized for the time it took to find the right part. Great guys great place, great job (and guaranteed work).

Fred was super helpful and extremely nice, fixed our brake pads in the same day for cheap as well! Didn t over diagnose either, did the front and not the back, per his suggestion.

Their sign says $135/hour for labor. Changing rear pads/rotors on a 2007 Camry does not take more than an hour for the average person, let alone a professional. Why I was charged $202 for labor is a mystery. They also tripled the cost of the parts.If you look at Fred's response to this review, you can see how manipulative he can be. He applied pressure in person and made me feel dumb and uncomfortable questioning the price. Be careful when dealing with them. Charm can be deceptive!

Took my car here to get an oil change. I was very impressed with the level of service Fred and the team provided. I used to drive out to a dealership to have it done. I ll be going to Fred s from here on out. I highly recommend.

Great experience. I just bought a new-to-me but well-seasoned car. Ray gave me a solid advice about what I needed to fix now, what can wait, and what's not really worthwhile. I spent about half what I had budgeted and know where I'll be going for phase 2 when the time comes. My wife and I have been searching for a new mechanic since we moved back here a year ago. We had purchased our 2009 CRV from a used car dealer in NC, and we re extremely lucky to have developed a great relationship with them. We never had to worry about repairs, because they would generally cover them. It has been such a hassle to find an honest, reliable, and timely mechanic, and I am so glad to be able to say I found a great one! Super friendly and personable, while also being upfront about cost of labor and parts. They accommodated me fairly quickly and had the wheel bearings and oil change done by the afternoon. Not to mention, it s super convenient as I work at Wrigley Field. I just dropped it off in the morning, walked over when I was done with work and drove home! If you re reading this, you re obviously looking for a mechanic so stop your search, you needn t look any further!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I've been going here a few times in the last year. Fred the owner is pleasant to work with and they can get you in and out quickly. Scheduling is also really easy. I'm lucky to have his shop so close by! Will definitely be returning for any car troubles and oil changes.
