Very bad organization. Got the mail that the appointment is made and to call before the appointment to give more information. Already picked the tires and added all information on website about the car. Nobody s answering the phone 3 times, arriving at the shop, checking in the office. They don t even have that tires in the shop. I left my work early before traffic to do everything on time. Not satisfied at all. Spend 2 more days looking for place that actually have those tires.

I made an appointment for 6pm to get my brakes replaced. I was sent an email at 11:30am to call them. I didn t see the email. I then showed up an hour early to my appointment and they said that I needed to drop my car off earlier in the day to get that service done. If I needed to do that, why was my appointment time listed at 6pm. Also the guy working the front desk was snarky and offered no solution. Take your business elsewhere.

I made an appointment for an oil change and to check out the brakes which squeak. I was on time. I was told to either wait at the shop or leave and they'd call me when finished. I got lunch, came back, and waited in the shop for another 2 hours until they finished. That is a total of 3 hours to do an oil change and check the brakes. I could see my car was not being worked on for quite some time. Why make an appointment if I'm going to be forced to wait? No one gave me any updates or explanations while I waited. They couldn't figure out why my brakes squeak and tried to say it's due to an inferior product. I told them we used Brembro at a different brake shop and they said it must be faulty installation and we'd have to redo the entire brakes and start over. Not a good diagnosis. Not helpful. No one tested the car to see how it was braking or what the noise was like. I won't be coming back.

From customer service to actual work done they are the worst of the worst. From lying about availability to living my headlights on and draining my car when I had to leave it there ( was told it sat for 3 hours) then tried to quote me for a new battery that they killed Was told Id receive A phone call later that night about the battery; never happened.. So I had to take care of the issue else where. Originally went in to have my tire looked at sat for a hour and a half while they checked everything but what I came in for.

I went for a scheduled oil change and tire rotation, and coolant flush. Drove home less than a mile away and that same night I was driving with my wife and hear a horrible srcaping noise. Pulled over and saw that my engine splash shield was hangin loose. They either didn't tighten it enough or didn't notice an issue with it. Either way I was pulled over in a bad neighborhood and trying to tape up long enough to drive it home, Pant and jacket soaked and filthy. Plans ruined. Was able to drive enough to get out of the bad neighborhood before the tape gave out and it started scraping again. Now my whole weekend is ruined because of their incompetence.UPDATE:On Tuesday January 30th, I was driving on I-55 when suddenly the metal scraping began louder than ever. I was trapped on the expressway and the closest exit was for I-90/94W! I pulled over and while waiting for AAA to come, a county tow truck came by and was able to remove the crumpled metal plate that was, until recently attached to my car. The tow truck driver confirmed my suspicions when he asked if I had an oil change recently because it was clear the bolts weren't tightened properly. Not only was Firestone negligent in my initial maintenance appointment! They put my life in danger when they allegedly secured the plate two days prior. I've attached a photo for your reference. On Saturday 2/3 someone left a voicemail that the parts were ready. I called Sunday to see if I could get the repair made and was told there wasn't anyone available. Every time I ask to speak to a manager. I'm told there's no one available. Not only will I NEVER return to this Firestone I will NEVER go to any Firestone again after this experience. I am honestly considering a lawsuit at this stage.

I have very clear instructions that I had a set or rims in the back on my car that needed tires installed on the rims and then on the car with the other set put in the back. I was told 2 hours. I get a call that it was ready 45 min after I dropped off and arrived back to only discover that they didn t install the new tires and didn t listen to any of my instructions. The tech not only didn t want to assist or give any clear indication on why there was a miscommunication, but was also given a lot of attitude for THEIR MISTAKE! Don t have tires shipped here and installed, they will make a 2 hour process turn into 6 hours.

Brought in my car because I heard a thumping noise...they called me back at the end of the day and said they had all drove the car and didn't hear a thumping sound. They said they checked fluids, belts, etc and everything looked fine. I got in the car and the noise was still there. I immediately had a tech listen and he said that it was a rubbing sound, not thumping and to call back later because they were going to close. Called the next day and they said they were too busy and to bring back the next week. I brought it to a local mechanic...within 5 mins he'd diagnosed the problem as being low on power steering fluid. Needless to say...not sure I'll be going back to this location any time soon.

You can check my other reviews to see I'm impartial. They broke my sensors and tried to glue everything back together, they also charged a huge amount to fix a minor leak but ended up making it worse. Most unprofessional and garbage firestone store out there, their goal is to scam you for every dollar you have.I've had the pleasure of privately/professionally working with many respectable businesses, this firestone location is by far the worst.

My experience with Firestone has been less than satisfying. They repaired my brakes, but did not have the proper tools to do the job correctly and were not going to tell me what they had done. When I went in to pick up my car, the sales rep, whom I thought was a mechanic because he was dressed like one, told me that my car was ready to go. I asked if I could take a look at the work before I signed off on it. He reluctantly said, Sure. I knelt down and looked at the brake line and was surprised to see that it looked nothing like the original configuration. In fact, it looked like a dangerous twisted mess. When I asked him about it, the rep confessed that he was not a mechanic. So I asked to speak to the real mechanic about this and he explained that they used a brake line that was too long for my car and they could not cut it to fit correctly. Instead of cutting the new brake line to fit my vehicle, they decided to bend it to take up the extra 3 to 4 feet. See the photos for the bends. A brake line shouldn t look like that. When I asked the mechanic why he had bent the brake line in such strange ways, he explained that he didn t have the tool he needed to cut the line that was shipped. They had shipped him a brake line that was 3 to 4 feet longer than what my Ford Explorer needed. It is impossible to understand how this shop did not have a simple tool to cut the brake line so it would fit my car properly. I priced out the tool and I saw it online for less than $35.I was so caught off guard after seeing my brake line bent into balloon-animal-type shapes that I completely forgot to make sure that I had my wheel lock key. The shop claimed that they gave it to me, but I didn t have it. So, I had to go to another shop to get the wheel locks taken off without the key. That cost additional money. When I saw Firestone s bill of over $300, I complained about the work and they knocked $25 off and said that was all they could do.Bottom line: They tried to upsell me on a lot of other parts. For the $300+ I spent, I would have expected more professional work and service. They had finagled the repair and were ready to let me leave the shop without telling me what they had done. To me, this seemed dangerous and wrong. The shop was also not properly equipped to do the job correctly. If you value your safety and peace of mind, don t use this Firestone shop!I really do hope someone from Firestone is monitoring this because I would really like my car to be repaired properly, or at the very least, receive a refund for the poor pathetic work that was done!

I ve come here 3 times before and had a great experience but this last time repairing my tire and getting some lights checked was awful! The guy who I worked with went out to see if my tire had arrived (I had received 3 confirmations it has made it here.) he came back in said I can t do service for something that isn t here, this is on you to figure out. I asked him to go back out and check again, barely looked came back in and said I have truck tires pretty sure this isn t going to fit on your car better call tire rack. I asked a third time to check and someone else did and omg found my tire! Wild!!! How taking a few moments to look at things better could do, I then say great let s get it fix and please check my lights I have my front and back out. They call me and say you have one out I said are you sure? I ve had witnesses that my back is out, nope all good here! I literally take it to the jiffy lube two stops down and guess what?! My back light is STILL OUT! This guy was rude he never apologized for his behavior or the fact he was incompetent of his job. I will go to another location in the future I wouldn t suggest it and they charged a ridiculous amount for a $4 dollar light to be fixed. Do not go here unless you absolutely have too!

I made an online appointment and came in. It hadn't been confirmed(my bad). So then made two appointments at the location. I came in for the first appointment two days later and there was no record of it.

Got my tires replaced but they would not do an alignment because there may be something wrong with my car in general. It's on me to figure out what's wrong at a body shop and do the alignment then. Not the friendliest people, very standoff-ish and hate repeating things. Don't ask them to clarify because they'll just say the same thing and be upset at you for not understanding the first time

Terrible customer service. I know is an auto shop but treating people rudely is not required. And 1:30 for changing oil on a car? Like, I ve done it and it takes less than 30 mins. I m going to start treating them the same way they treat customers.

My mother and I needed service done to our vehicles but decided to try somewhere else. When we entered the store early Tuesday morning we were acknowledged with can I help you , after I greeted the representative first. He acted really nonchalant about our questions and didn t give us any information about anything concerning the service we requested. We just wanted to know some basic information. We were just told we would get a call when the mechanic came in.He was real pleasant with the customer that came in after us, he even thanked the customer. After feeling really uncomfortable with his attitude towards us we just retrieved our key and left. I only chose this location because of the reviews. I ll definitely let people know how we felt at this location. I ve been a Firestone customer since 2008 and I ve never felt more out of place then I did today.

Very slow service. They told me to get in line and I will be let in a few minutes. I waited almost an hour to get my car in. And then another hour to get the oil change. And the girl that was in line for oil change behind me got helped sooner somehow and left 30 min before me.On the plus side, a gentleman that charged me for the oil change was very nice, he explained everything they did, showed me how clean the filter still was so they put it back.

If you want good mechanics go here. You pay a lot more than anywhere else but they do good work. You really do get what you pay for in service. The customer service here is excellent. Just ask them to use quality parts. Hopefully they don t mark up the price too much like Velasquez Complete Auto Care. I do my own work because I only use quality more expensive parts if I can t get OEM. When I need a little help figuring something out or diagnosing my cars I go here. All other mechanic shops in the city of Chicago are hacks. Well maybe, at least 98% of them are.

I love Firestone, its my go to place for not only new tires, but all my auto repair needs, well trained, polite and customer focused, along with great deals. Join the Firestone Team. Special props to Daylan, really helped me out today.

Finally getting around to writing a review. Please do not go here. I had an issue with a steering wheel shaking when I went fast. I brought it in and they said it was because of my tires. Bought a whole new set, still an issue, then they say oh actually it s your control arms. STILL a problem after that. Then they say it s because my breaks, I get my breaks fixed and then the wheel isn t shaking anymore but there s a smell and my breaks feel weird. I bring them back in and they say nothings wrong. I tell them i need them to be sure since I m going on a solo road trip and they said it would be fine. 2 hours into my road trip my breaks completely give ON THE HIGHWAY. Never come here.

My car is only 1 year old. We just had it in Hyundai for an oil change. They said we needed a new tire because it had a small bubble. So a week later we brought it here because the tire was cheaper. Well they come tell us we have no coolant and that it would cost 150 dollars. Why would adding coolant cost 150 he said the labor. I said why would we be out if they just checked it he said it could have evaporated. Like really then he said we need all four tires well the back ones were ok but will need them soon but the front one needed it. How would we need new tires besides the one with the bubble. The car is new and we rarely drive it. I feel like they are trying to take advantage of people and are taking their money. So we r driving and have been for 20 minutes and if we were out of coolant wouldn t my engine we over heating. It s not at all the temp is normal.Service: Tires

The manager was incredibly rude and unhelpful with our issue. They moved forward with a multi-thousand dollar car repair without ever discussing with me. They were unwilling to discuss any further after the repair was done. I would highly recommend against this location as evidence by the multitude of poor reviews and rude customer service.

Had an appointment for a flat repair. Dropped the tire off. Had previously also worked at Firestone as a tech. They called me saying it was not patchable and asked if I wanted a tire. Told me it was not patchable when the tire was well within fixable range of damage. I wouldn t recommend this for anyone looking for honest work. Walked in just to see most of them sitting with no work to do. They prefer to sell you a tire than to fix and save you the money.Service: Tires

Had a 1:00 appt. My car sat in the lot for an hour. Guys standing around appearing to be socializing instead of working. I asked how much longer it world be. Guy working the front desk said he'd pull my car in now it should be 20 min. They were unable to fix my car. I told the guy to just give me my car back. My car had oil and dirt stains on the console and my seat. I asked the guy who was going to clean my car since I didn't give them a dirty car. He decided to argue with me. I asked to speak to the manager. He points to the manager sitting in the garage. I said well go get him I want to talk to him. I explain to the manager the issue. He says he'll go find out who pulled my car around and gets some cleaner to clean the car. They wasted 90 min. of my time and then didn't give a $hit about my car leaving it filthy with grime, dirt and oil. I used to use the location on Elson all the time. Their customer service has deteriorated. I will never use Firestone again and I'll be cutting up their card. When you can't take basic care of a customer's car the service performed has to be shotty. What they did to my car is a reflection on the work they would have performed on it. Buyer beware.Service: Tires
