I've had work done at this location many times before. They are so conveniently located that it would be difficult to try to find an alternative location for service anywhere near this one.The staff has usually been very good about explaining whatever work or equipment was needed to repair our cars, and the staff on my last trip did a particularly good job about explaining to me what the problem was with my wife's car.Best to try to set an appointment with this location if you can, because; they are often busy, and they have a relatively small parking lot. So plan ahead if you can, but even if you have a more urgent matter (like a flat or punctured tire) - they're usually pretty good about getting you in for service.

I brought in my 2017 kia soul on the 27th of march. My engine light was blinking. I thought it was the oil since Kia s go through oil like crazy. There recommendation was an oil change, coolant flush and a knock sensor. I got the oil change and coolant flush done on the 27th. I asked how long would it take to get to me about replacing the knock sensor, they said that there guy who works on that is out until Friday. The Firestone rep reassured me that it will be looked at and fixed on Friday. I asked if I could drop it off Thursday. They agreed. There price was around $485.00. So Friday rolls around . Around 9:30am that call me and tell me that it is the knock sensor. With the price that they gave me, I gave them permission to fix it. Friday around 4pm I was getting a little worried because I didn t hear from them yet. I call them up and they explained to me that they ordered the wrong knock sensor. They went on to say that it will not be ready until tomorrow (Saturday) at 12pm if not earlier. 12pm would be the latest. Saturday comes around and I didn t hear from them. I call them up and they say that it s in the shop and they are working on it as we speak. I figured let me just get there and pick it up whenever it s ready. Mind you this is Passover weekend and my wife needs the car to get ready for Resurrection Sunday. Instead of charging they initial price of $485.00, I m charged a total of $652.59. Not only did they keep my car an extra day, they changed me close to $200 dollars more. Don t waste your time with this shop. This is not a strike on the brand Firestone. I ve gone to this brand hundreds of times. But this location is ridiculous.

Today, I made an appointment at 11:30am for four-wheel balance positioning, I gave the key to the receptionist, he will call around 3 hours to pick up the car, I waited for 3 and a half hours and still did not call me, I called to ask how long it would take, he told me that now you need to plus money to do positioning, because my car is super duty Van. I can understand that, but you should have sued me before you accepted my appointment, so you wouldn't have wasted my day

I scheduled an appointment and went in for a tire change. When I got there 4 team members gathered talking while others were on phones and busy. Eventually someone pointed at me and a man walked to his desk and allowed me to approach. I don t know why he was mad but he was mad. He argued with me about my appointment and I eventually just left. I found a cheaper price and better service a block away.

I am a loyal long time customer. I am so happy the high quality of service continues. Glad to see environmental sustainability.... use of email for communications. I dropped off my car, returned home to rest as I awaited the "car ready" notification. Everyone was excellent!! Thank you so much!

Went for a flat. 1600 dollars later, we got the car back. It was more, but I'm rounding down. I guess my real issue is the feeling of having no choice. Like your car is a hostage and it's x dollars to get your ride back. For a flat. So ok, all tire places want you to get 4 new. But again, what if I just need the spare so I can get by for a minute? $800 something for 4 new. But now you talking about other problems you can't fix for less than another 800??? Shady. Very shady. So everyone was real nice and apologetic.My mom is a long-standing, good paying customer, and that's how they played her. So you can do what you feel. But, we would have gone somewhere else for the work in a non hostage type of situation.Just saying. Really nice guys tho. Lol. The work DOES seem good. Time will tell.

My car is fairly new. The Ford dealer service was dreadful. Firestone took great care of my 1996 Crown Victoria and now my little Blueberry Eco Sport. They are wonderful

I am grateful to Alfredo who helped me with a flat tire issue. Alfredo was professional and friendly. Tire needed was in stock and took a short time to replace a tire. Great customer service and thank you for your hard work. I appreciate Alfredo and the Firestone team. Have a happy and healthy 2024!

I had low tire pressure and stopped by to see if they had a pump I could use, but they volunteered to take care of it for me for free and even made sure to adjust the pressure for winter and explain that. He was super helpful and I never expected the free help and great attitude! I'm so grateful to them!

The shop says they close at 8 pm and we arrived at 705 pm yet they had all lights off and they refused to take a look at the flat tire for repair. They weren't really empathetic at all to the needs of a family from outside of the area and in fact didn't even want to fill the air in the tire so we could probably make it to a near by location. I have used Firestone multiple times before but I will unfortunately have to say No going forward. This was not the customer service I expected and I think I should reach out to their president on the degradation in customer service when that's supposedly what Firestone stands for above anything else.

Mid afternoon my tire pressure indicator comes on. Any other time, I d just drop 8 quarters and DIY. Temporary disability has my hip and back outta wack. My usual gas station always has wonderful young male staff or customers around to kinda help me out. But, today, as Murphy s Law would have it, the air pump wasn t working. I was nervous about hitting the expressway with low pressure driving 26 miles. Called Firestone and the pert who answered was friendly and more than willing to do it. Even asked what make/model of the vehicle to look out for me. Didn t remember (or maybe things have changed) with how congested South Loop is. I went around back, waited a very nice, polite young man asked me if he could help, moved the other Jeep out of the way, proceeded to put air in my tires and I went on. While this might seem like nothing or the least they could do-it s a BIG deal for me! Attitude goes a long way. Thank you again. I didn t get your name, but I ll be back to buy you guys lunch.

HelloI went to firestone to have my passenger rear tire replaced because it had a nail it .When I got home from work at 6:50 I looked at my tire and realized that they dud not replace the right tire but replaced the left instead. I called them and told the pm person that a mistake was made. I went up to the shop and the pm person just kept saying I said leftside I told them passenger back the man continued saying that's what I said don't you inspect any thing before you replace t it and he said mo. Them proceeded to tell he can fix it on Thursday today is tuesday.

I ve been taking my cars to the Firestone for n South Wabash in Chicago for fifteen years and have never been disappointed. Car is ready when promised and the job write up workers are easy to work with and are knowledgeable.

They messed up the brakes on our Mini Cooper TWICE. Schedu ing is always a challenge. The team comes across as inexperienced and unknowledgable. We found much better service at the Goodyear down the street located at 1806 S Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60616.

Change you hours of operation if you don't open at 6AM! This is the third time no one has been there when you say you are open. This is ridiculous.Worst in the city by far. Overpriced horrible customer service and not the best care for your vehicle. Trust me, DO NOT COME HERE

Had a flat tire on our snowmobile trailer. Stopped at several places who didn t want to help us or loan us tools. We had the tire gentleman came out with jack and impact. We were on our way in 3 minutes. Didn t even want to charge us! We gave cash to buy the crew pizza. Thanks again service like that especially in Chicago is unheard of.Service: Tires

This establishment does not open at 6am! I'm here right now in my car waiting for them to open at 623am and there's only 1 person in the building that hadn't unlocked the doors and no one has answered the phones. I was in desperate need of a new battery and I'll have to drive somewhere else. If you're in an emergency don't come to this location. False advertisement!

DON'T COME HERE. THEY WILL LIE.I am absolutely certain the positive reviews are low-key lottery winners or fake reviews. A 10 AM appointment turned into a three hour window when giving them the keys.Talking to them 2.5 hours later it turned into maybe 3 PM... and a reminder that it was a minimum of three hours wait.Overheard them telling someone else that they needed to hold the car over until tomorrow for brake work.

These guys helped me out. I was visiting for the weekend, when I got a flat, they found a tire for my car and got me back on the road the same day. Great communication and great staff.

Don't bother going here. Scheduled an appointment for 2PM to get my brakes inspected. No work, just an inspection. Was told at the time of booking on the phone that it would be done same day. I rearranged my entire work schedule to drop the car off. I intermittently call to check on the status cause it seemed weird that it was taking so long. At 4 I am told that they haven't started but there's only 2 cars ahead of me and was once again reassured that it would be done before closing at 8. I call back at 6:50 only to hear that they are sorry for not calling me earlier and that they can't get to my car today. When I ask why I just am told they're busy and they walk back their statements saying no one guaranteed it would be done. Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to other people's time. Go literally anywhere else

Bad customer service. Website says they close at 8pm. I also called as well! Came here at 7 to pick up my car & they literally ignored me & let me stand in the rain to get wet. When I knocked on the door they all looked at me like I had 3 eyes. I will rather go to a place that will respect me as a paying customer.

Please!!! update your opening and closing time this place does not open at 6:00 a.m. as the website states. I sent my girlfriend to this location which was out of her way because of the opening time she waited 20 minutes for them to open but they never opened at 6:00 or 6:30 it ended up being a total waste of time and gas.

What can I say... they price gouge. They hesitate going into details on quotes or justification behind their recommended maintenance. I get it may be convenient for locals but go somewhere else. Anything beyond a basic oil change or new tire isn't worth it.

This location is extremely busy and I waited almost two hours for an oil change to be completed. However, Robert and Miguel (location manager) went over and beyond to ensure that I received quality customer service. In addition to the oil change, I later returned for a battery replacement/terminal repair service. This service was completed much faster (in comparison to the oil change). Although there was some discrepancy with the final price that I was charged for the service, the situation was addressed and resolved in a professional manner by the location manager.

Miguel and his team at this location are top notch and do excellent work. I have been taking my car here for years, and recently purchased a new one. Soon after buying it, the check engine light came on and they had me fixed up in no time and took care of some things despite the warranty holders wanting me to go back to the dealership. I'm a loyal customer and I will continue to be- they are always busy but always do great work and are very up front with wait times (even if it will be a while). I would recommend anyone looking for service for the car in the South Loop to come here- I would give 10 stars if I could!Services: Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Air conditioning, Oil change

I literally had the worst experience of my life here. I made an appointment for 8am on a Saturday. I wanted my wheel bearing done, and a full inspection just incase anything else was wrong. By 8:05am I was in firestone handing over my keys. I was going to wait in the store and they saw I was waiting and asked are you waiting? It s going to be like a 2 hour wait I decided to leave because I had my 16 month old and didn t want a baby running around, crying etc. I called back by 2pm. My vehicle wasn t even inspected! They close at 6pm on saturday. I was told I was going to get seen and my work be completed. Then they tried giving me vehicle back because I was asking questions. And I m like no! you haven t even let me know what s wrong . so they guaranteed me by 4pm they would at least have it looked at and things rolling. I called back at 4pm and they put me on hold for 30 minutes. I hung up. Absolutely the worst experience ever! Car didn t get fix. I m going to get it now. I wouldn t recommend this to my enemy. Great experience; I had a dead car battery issue and called in on Sunday at 10AM (Joe), and was promptly asked to come in. I could tell the location is extremely busy, but they still managed to get my new battery installed same day, done by 3PM. Price was reasonable as well.
