Ron and his team are awesome. I purchased a used Mini Cooper, wanted a second opinion.I have only owned Japanese cars in the past and have only used dealer maintenance for over a decade. My experience here was so much better than anything I had before.First of all the shop is very busy but they had accommodated my time crunch because they knew I had a short window I could return the car with a money back guarantee.Ron took the time to answer any questions I had, and went through the carfax with me explaining to my relief why certain things were good signs of previous owners.The one issues they did find is a very common problem based on my research on cars with my body style and far less miles, so I somewhat expected it to come up.The quote they gave me for all services rendered plus redoing the engine mount was, based on my research, a hell of a deal.Don t think the cheap price compared to the dealer means bad service though, the way Ron talked through the car and what he was seeing was way more in depth, had way more care, and way more expertise than any interaction with a service center I have had before.These guys are the real deal and I m super glad to have a maintenance team I can trust here in Chicago.

You don't often find mechanics with this level of knowledge and such mechanics don't always service with integrity.Over the course of several days Ron regularly and repeatedly went well out of his way to help my wife get her CLA250 back on the road. After a dealership on the Indiana side tried to absolutely rob her, I found Ron's shop and sent her there. What a godsend. Thanks a bunch Ron, we really appreciate all of your help!If you go anywhere else in the area for German service you will likely get ripped off. Save yourself the headache and go to Ron's shop. European & American Motor. If we weren't leaving the area I would drive the distance to have all of my vehicles serviced by Ron.

Ron is fair, thorough, and gets it! He provides you with the knowledge, you get the service you need, and not the extra the dealership tries to push on you. I would much rather support my local guy. It s great to know I have a guy ! Thank you E&AMR for the great service!

Ron is an exceptional guy with over 40 years experience in the car industry. He fully diagnosed my 2006 Jetta and provided me with every detail. After he and his mechanics looked over my car, I felt VERY comfortable with making a decision regarding next steps. He definitely did his due diligence. The car industry is competitive and customers feel like mechanics are out there to scam them; but this is certainly not the case with Ron. He s a busy guy, but somehow manages to get it all done in one day. Thank you so much Ron and I ll be a lifelong customer!

I've been going to Ron for almost 3 years now with various different cars and issues. I highly recommend going to him for everything, even for a second opinion. He's been nothing but transparent and I now always ask for his input and perspective before a dealership as he's always looking out for the customer's best interest.

Just had my 2013 x3 serviced by Ron due to the oil light coming in. He identified the problem and helped me understand why it happened and the steps needed to repair it including timeline and costs. While he was in there he also recommended changing the spark plugs. He did a great job. I was confident in his abilities and felt like I understood the costs involved. I would definitely go back but I hope I won t need to for a while Thanks, Ron!

Ron is honest and straightforward explaining his recommendations in detail. Have taken the car (2004 BMW X5) in twice and his estimates have been accurate with no expensive surprises. In my case he was transparent about targeting a less expensive fix first to determine if the more expensive fix is truly needed and included detailed invoices and even pictures. Will be looking here for my future auto repair needs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Ron fixes my car every time it has a problem. It is an old VW and he takes care of it as if it was his own. His knowledge and advice have kept the vehicle in great condition. I am very grateful to him and his crew for their dedication and professionalism.

I received Ron s information from another female friend who has taken her Mercedes GLK and now her Range Rover to Ron. I currently have my GLK at his shop and the initial interaction was so wonderful I think it deserves a 5 review even before my car is done. I told Ron I thought my brakes may need to be replaced and mentioned a couple other minor items. He let me know the brakes could be replaced but there were a couple more pressing issues, in his professional opinion, without being pushy at all. He even said, after an hour chat of me asking questions and him giving detailed explanations, that I could chose to not have any of the suggested work done. The more pressing issues included some things the dealership listed the last time I had my Service B done, but the dealership didn t provide any detail as to why and when the work should be done. Ron told me the reasons he considered the work necessary without mansplaining or making me feel like he was put out at all by my questions. Ron sent me a detailed estimate after our first call and gave me time to review it and ask any questions about it, making sure I was ok with all charges shown in the estimate. I consider myself on the highest end of frugal and I pride myself on not over-paying for anything if I can help it. Just the best service I could hope for as a professional female who needs to be able to trust her auto repair is necessary and that the cost will not be outrageous. I ll update this review after the work on my car is complete, but wanted to make sure others know they are taking their car to a true service professional. Thanks to Ron and his team!

I took my truck to Warren and his team for some body repair due to an accident and some other work I'd been putting off. The truck came back looking amazing. Paint matched perfectly and there are zero signs that the truck was ever damaged. I realize that body work takes time and it could be weeks/months before you get it completed, but the team got it back to me sooner than I would have anticipated. I'd highly recommend them for any work you need done. I will be a customer as needed in the future.Service: Auto body & trim repair

I was in from out of town when the starter on my BMW stopped working. I had to have my car towed to European American Motors. Ron kept me informed as to what was gong on and when I could expect my car to be repaired. He sourced a rebuilt starter with my approval which saved me quite a bit of money. The car was ready early and I was able to make my way home. Give Ron a call. He will be able to help you at a reasonable price.

These guys are just the best. They are very informative and will never try to take advantage of a bad situation. They go the extra mile to take care of you even if their not making any money on the problem. These guys do good work as well, consistently quoting less than other outfits I've been too. Can not recommend them enough.

The place might not look like much but these guys are honest and very fair about what needs done. After getting an outrageous dealer shop quote on my Touareg, Ron looked at it for free and said it just needed some new sparks and filter and a few items could be done in 10K miles if I decide to keep it. Price was significantly less.I m taking my other car in next time it needs it.

This is my local shop. I love how blunt the owner can be about the severity of my cars condition. Take it with a grain of salt, but know that I think they are honest and that their diagnostics are in depth and fair. Ask lots of questions, you'll get lots of answers.

Brought my BMW in for a coolant leak and they found it was a loose hose and they fixed for free which demonstrated to me they are honest. They also left me some awesome cherry filled chocolates during the holidays!

There aren't that many shops that work on non-commercial diesels in the city and these guys are some of the best. They will go above and beyond to get the parts you need, they'll do their best to get you back on the road as fast as possible, but they won't compromise on doing the job well.
