I took my car in at 2pm yesterday and they said they would have a quote for me by close at 6pm. Not only did I not have a quote by 6pm, but when I called at 12pm this afteroon, they hadn't even looked at it yet. (They opened at 8am.)Finally at 2pm, a full 24 hours later, they called with the quote. It sounded kind of high, so I took it to another place for a second opinion. Within 5 minutes, the second place showed me what they were seeing under the hood.Not to get gross, but there was fresh rat poop underneath the hood and wiring had been chewed. There was NO WAY Delgado's could have missed it. But, instead of telling me that, they were just going to take my money and send me on my way for me to inevitably have major problems in the future.I'm absolutely disgusted with their devious and utterly unprofessional lack of service. Stay away!!

The most important thing when choosing an auto repair shop is trust. You have to trust they are only fixing what needs to be fixed unless you directed otherwise. And that you are paying a fair price. After having checked part prices in line and researching labor costs, I trust Delgados. I've been using them for years now and would highly recommend it.

This shop is most definitely reliable and honest. I brought my car and Jeep here many times and they know how to repair. Other shops always fix the issue but then they cause another issue, not Delgados, they fix what needs to be fixed and there are never no other issues after the repairs. The staff are extremely friendly and professional and the mechanics are as well. Love this shop, I will never go anywhere else. Most trustworthy repair shop I ever been to. Also, great prices too!

Amazing service and great prices! Brought in my car after it was recovered from a carjacking, and they were so helpful with everything. Super honest ahout damages and the best prices I've seen in the city! Would 100% recommend :)

I have been coming to delgados for about a year now every time I need something to get fix with my car they are always ready to get the job done!! , Customer Service/Communication is a 10/10 Definitely recommend this place!!

Went here to fix a locking issue with my car door. The person who fixed my car explained everything to me and it was fairly priced. Will be coming back here any time I need something fixed with my car!

Always have a great experience here whenever my car has issues. They are quick and get back to you in a timely manner, and with great friendly service. I can't vouch for their pricing; today I googled the typical price for a starter replacement and was in line with the price they gave me so it seems reasonable to me. But they are quick and always provide great customer service.

Full disclosure - I was asked to do this review, but was not compensated and asked 3 days after the work was done. Delgado's is fairly priced, honest, and speedy.They don't take appointments, but do a first-come first-served basis so plan on getting your car there early after 8 AM if you want it same day.I went there with my 08 Altima because I had some brakes done elsewhere in 6 months ago, and they were squealing very badly. I got a quote 2 hours later where he was honest - there was no safety issue and I could keep driving safely if I wanted to deal with the noise. If I didn't, I'd need pads and rotors for $300. I approved the repairs. He also noticed my oil change sticker indicated I needed a change , but I actually had one done two weeks ago. He didn't pressure me to do one, but I asked him to check the oil just in case.4 hours later I get a text with pics of the new rotors, the clean oil and filter, and said it was ready for pickup. I've never had better communication and the job was well done.Service: Brakes

I stopped in to ask to buy wiper fluid as they're right across the street from me. They did a liquids top up on the house! I'll definitely be back for other auto services.

Car wouldn t start so I brought it here. They diagnosed it with a starter issue and gave me a reasonable estimate and timetable. Took a half day longer than they expected, but overall I m very happy with their service. Will be coming back here for future car maintenance and repairs.

Amazing customer service! They got me in last minute before closing to plug up my tire and gave me a good deal. Communication was great. Didn't wait long. I'm so grateful. I will be coming back here for future car servicing needs. Highly recommended!!

Good service. I went for a diagnostic, they charge $90 dollars, but to fix the problem they want to charge me $1200 . I went to a different plate and they fix the problem for only $195. Unacceptable

Had a great experience working with this shop. I had reached out to them after bringing the issue I had to another body shop and them wanting to charge double with including unnecessary repairs.Delgado wasn't only fair in price, but felt allot more honest on what needed to be done. After the repairs were done, they also took the time to have my emissions tested for me, saving the trip of md going myself.Maria was also great at the front desk! Great customer service, communication and organization on when dealing with new customers. Very grateful and happy!Service: Auto emissions testing

My car wouldn't start on a cold Chicago day and after AAA said it wasn't a battery issue, I had my car towed to Delgado's. They performed an accurate diagnosis (starter needed replacement) and had my car working by the next morning. Staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, gave reasonable time expectations, and the price was very competitive. I didn't realize how much easier it is to start a car with a starter that actually works. Thanks to the fantastic team at Delgado's - will definitely return if I have car issues in the future.Service: Electrical

I desperately needed help getting a stripped lug nut off because I had a flat tire and after many failed attempts of my own I brought my car to Delgado's . They got the stripped lug nut off, patched two holes in the tire and replaced the stripped lug nut along with a damaged lug nut. These guys are great and helped me out when I didn't know where else to turn. I highly recommend them!

My catalytic converter was stolen. Delgado s was a helpful over the phone and gave me an estimated amount of time and their process for working with insurance. I dropped my car off the next day and they worked with my agent (despite being out of network ) to get me a quick and affordable resolution. The mechanic took several calls from me and helpfully explained multiple things. Highly recommend

Stopped by to get my muffler fixed. Great customer service. The mechanic was very friendly, he showed me what was wrong and gave me 2 options for a fix ,they are also Very honest .they could of giving me the more expensive option but he was able to patch instead of a full replacement.

If I could put ZERO stars I would. I don t know if it s because I m a woman and they just wanted to take advantage of me but the prices they quoted me for what I needed to be replaced were 3x the amount 2 other dealerships were going to charge me. So instead of paying that price with them I paid a $90 diagnosis fee plus $70 for an oil change. Ever since my oil change here my oil light has been on. Come to find out they over filled my oil so I had to pay someone else for another oil change. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

This has got to be one of the best shops I ve ever been to, hands down. Had my catalytic converter stolen and they replaced it SAME DAY at competitive pricing. On top of all that, the staff and mechanics were beyond communicative and as kind as they come!

Since moving from the suburbs to Bucktown I was worried about finding a new mechanic I could actually trust. I was recommended Delgados from another place actually & had them on my list to try. Well my tire literally broke off on Western and I didn t have much of a choice but to give them a try and i m so glad I did! I will say after my first interaction this is my new shop. Maria at the front desk is the sweetest person ever & she helped me right away with such a big smile on her face. Juan called me and discussed my car & explained everything in detail and Vino who worked on my car did an amazing job and got it done so fast! I have friends who have to wait weeks for the repair I got done so i m beyond impressed. They helped me in a literal emergency and I m forever grateful.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto tire replacement, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Delgado's did another great job on my work van, they even worked with my company insurance to fix the problem... the work van hasn't worked this good since they first brought back in 2016. LOLThank you to everyone at Delgado's Auto Service! Always so helpful and polite and when they fix your automobile you know your in good hands. They get all of my business, if you not using them you really need to. I got home and realized I had a flat tire. I called Delgado's first thing. They were able to fit me in really quickly, got my tire fixed, and called me back as soon as it was completed. All hassle free, and VERY reasonably priced.Fast forward a week later, I realized I had a tire cap missing. I stopped by to see if they had it laying around by chance. They didn't, but they replaced the cap with a spare they had, and they ordered me completely new matching tire caps for all of my tires. Completely went above and beyond any and all expectations I had. I HIGHLY recommend!Service: Tires

I went to three other mechanics to fix an issue for my emission test - they either couldn't do it or said I'd have to leave my car with them for a whole week. These guys took me in early in the morning and had the car ready for me the same day, and I finally passed the emission test! Very professional and excellent service, I highly recommend!

Quick turnaround and fair prices. Great communication from receptionists and mechanics. I do wish they would clean the cars after they service them like a lot of other places do but overall I would come back here for other work I needed done.

I took my car to Delgado's for the first time on Thursday and it was a great experience beginning to end. My front brakes were in bad shape so the shop did pads, rotors and calipers for my 2004 Highlander.Best parts:No-cost inspection/quoteFlexibility with regard to recommended/essential repairsClear communication on price estimate that they held toPretty fast turnaroundLobby/counter was clean and staff was helpful and pleasantI wish I had found these guys years ago.Service: Brakes

I had a flat tire leaving work on 5/18 and was lucky that Delgados was close enough to take my car to on the way home. They were very busy but took the time to put a spare on - beyond this, they did not charge. I m not sure why such a wonderful gesture was extended (and I can confirm they were packed!) but it is so appreciated. If I need any additional work or if anyone wants a recommendation then this the place without a doubt!Service: Tires
