I had messaged this business for an engine rebuild for my 2012 Mazda 2 and I got in contact with Steven. We talked on the phone & communicated about the car's information, and I got the best price I could find to just get the engine replaced instead. I got my car towed to an Evanston location and it was done in 1 week. My baby is now running again. I got nervous because the Check Engine light came on driving home but after I got it checked out at a shop closer to me, the codes were false & I got it cleared, light never come back on. Thank you to the mechanics & Steven for being a great communicator. He made sure to really help me out

I dropped off my 1960 Lincoln 430 engine for rebuild at the end of February 2018 and paid a deposit of half down $1900.00. I was told it was going to take 6 to 8 weeks for the rebuild to be done . The reason I took it there was because a gas/ service station in my neighborhood had recommended them. I called two and a half months later and they said it would be done in two weeks. I called back two weeks later they said they need another two weeks because they are having trouble getting some of the parts. Fast forward 6 months. I call phone has been disconnected. I drive over shop is closed. I talked to a mechanic at the neighboring business . He told me he called a scrap guy sold all the engines as scrap and had a sale and sold all his tools and has disappeared. If anyone knows the name and whereabouts of this crook please post. He scammed me out of $1900.00 plus an engine that will cost me 7,000 to 10,000 to replace. He belongs in jail.

Had some engine trouble while in the city and a friend of mine said that City Wide Engines was pretty close to where I was at and that he heard they were pretty good. To make a long store short, they were great! They fixed the trouble and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Been driving for a few weeks now and it certainly seems like everything's been done right.

Horrible place. Had an engine rebuilt 2 years ago. Said it would take 3 weeks took them 4 months saying they were having difficulty finding pistons for my motor. They had quoted me 2400 done deal everything included when I picked it up they charged me 3k saying pistons had costed extra and that the previous price was not including taxes. Got it back they said it was ready to drop in. Tried staying it. It would not fire. Came to find out timing was 180� off so some valves were bent and they refused to warranty the work. They reused all the original seals. When I was able to fire it up the rear main began to pour. Not leak it was pouring out oil and again they said that the person who was putting in the motor was suppose to replace that seal. When I swapped out some valve cover seals there is a half moon seal that has to be replaced. When I took it off there was gunked up oil underneath it when the engine was about 5 months old. Worst place to go to.
