New customer to this location but i will say the Service associate Carmen is Very transparent about the services that is going to be performed on your vehicle as well as inviting into the establishment. Overall Good Quality and Service. Prices are reasonable.

Carmen is a Gem! I didn t want a diagnostic test I just wanted my thermostat put on because that s what I needed. Well I was given a diagnostic test after I made it clear that I just wanted the thermostat put on. I was given A new cabin filter. Mind you I went to get the thermostat put on. The heat only worked in my car for maybe an hour or two. And what do you know I still need a thermostat!!!!!!! I was charged $84 for the filter and test. I never wanted it though I didn t agree to it I m sitting waiting thinking I m getting my thermostat put on. I was happy that my heat was working. But that s not what I needed. Now am I supposed to return and pay an additional $165 for the thermostat when I made it clear that was what I needed!!!! I feel ripped off and taken advantage of.

If they replace your radiator, make sure you ask if they've pressure tested it. They told me my radiator had a leak, replaced it, then came up with a reason to send me to another place for further work ("we don't work on your engine type.") When the new place pressure tested my system, it still had a leak. The claim is that this is an *additional* leak. I don't believe this, but I can't know for certain. Carmen has quite good people skills, and I got fooled.

Highly recommend this business. Carmen, the owner, is so kind and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain things about how the AC condenser worked, why it was defective, and seemed like she genuinely wanted to help us learn something new. We had our car back within 24 hours. I wish they provided more services because we d love to go back!

Carmen, in particular, showed me the worn-out parts, explained their functions, and even offered guidance on maintaining the newly installed parts.You'd think that with such comprehensive service, their bill would match the outrageous quotes and bleak reports I've been getting from other repair shops. Don t look any further! This is one of the greatest hidden gems of Chicago! This business is reputable and the customer service is excellent! Ask for Carmen she s kind & fantastic, her crew is awesome and really good people, it felt like family (The Good side) . She was kind and explained everything in detail the transaction was smooth and my vehicle is back running without any hiccups. I will definitely be bringing my other vehicles to Chicago Auto Radiator service when necessary. Thanks for an excellent customer experience!

I brought my car to this shop awhile back with an overheating engine and no A/C - they took incredible care of me and made sure I understood everything that was wrong with my car, what they were going to do to fix it, and how long it would take. I felt so blessed to have found them and am so grateful they handled my car so well. Months later and the A/C is perfect and there is absolutely no overheating!

They saved me. Other mechanics would asked me for hundreds of dollars to fix my AC problem that one of them created for me. While here, with an amazingly reasonable price they fixed the AC. A mechanic had overcharged the gas and it resulted in hot air instead of cold. And he had no idea to how to fix it. But in this auto service people know their job very well. I recommend them highly and without reservation.

I came here because my a/c wasn't working and saw good reviews. There is a reason they have good reviews, absolutely fantastic service. Carmen explained everything they had to do and even called me out to my car a few times to show exactly what was going on. The price was excellent and exactly what she quoted me and she guaranteed the work. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has problems with their car a/c. go here and you will be taken care of

I found this shop online, called about 8am spoke to a Robert who inform me that I can come in and get the car checked out and repaired.Upon me arriving I was introduced to Carmen who inform me without even taking anything apart that I was in need of a new radiator. She priced it which was a very reasonable price and I was out within an hour. I would recommend this shop to my companions. Thanks Carmen and Robert for your great customer services skills.

This is my 2nd time doing business Chicago Auto Radiator and their quality of work is still TOP NOTCH!! It's been 5 years since the last time I was here. I tried giving other local mechanics a chance but that was a mistake lbvs. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

This radiator repair shop has been at this location for 40 years. Robert really knows his stuff.He took a look at my truck and quickly knew what the issue was and what was needed to resolve my situation. Once Carmen arrived she gave me an estimate of the repair.It was a reasonable estimate,so I decided to go ahead with the repair. The work was done in 45 minutes.Great job done by this dynamic duo.Thanks Robert and Carmen.Keep up the great work.

Great place. Carmen was very nice and professional and walked me thru each step she was taking to figure out why my a/c wasn t working... after a couple hours I returned and was recommended to a great guy who delt with electrical since my problem was electrical. Carmen was great and even tho she didn t fix my problem they still took their time to try and figure out my issue. Great prices good honest people.

Working with honest people was like a breath of fresh air!!! Carmen was sincere and informative giving me the piece of mind that we all want when handing your car keys to someone!!!I drove in sweating with no Ac and I left with chills because my air was blowing soo cold Thank you again Chicago Auto Radiator Service !

Nice quiet tucked away shop. Great work with integrity and character. Boy is it hard to find places like this anymore, with people that stand behind their work while not tearing a new whole in your wallet. I will be going back if ever the need should arise.

My heater core on my Ford Taurus went out. After taking it to multiple shops, I still was not satisfied with the results. I felt overwhelmed & like the mechanics were misleading me. I did more reasearch and came across Chicago Auto Radiator reviews. Just from the personal stories, I wanted to try them out. I met Carmen! Wonderful Female mechanic. She knows her stuff! I really appreciate how she evaluated my car, explained in detail what needed to be done and why it was all happening in the 1st place. She showed me the damage as well, so I had a visual idea. The diagnosis was logical. She explained pricing and gave me options. The entire experience made me comfortable. Rates were lower than several quotes I got from around the city. I almost wish they did more than heating & cooling lol. Ive brought my car back for the 2nd job & its running perfectly!! Carmen also showed me damaged parts she removed as well. Her husband is great too, sweet guy. I would refer this shop to everyone!

I was told I needed a coolant flush on my car because the coolant was contaminated from a dealership when I went for an oil change. I declined the service because I usually like to get a 2nd opinion. SO I did some research and found this place. On their website they give you the option to text so I texted and got an immediate response. When I showed up at the shop the woman knew who I was. THE BEST part is the woman was extremely honest. If you are a visual learner, this place is great. The woman showed me what contaminated coolant looks like and showed me what my car. My coolant definitely was not contaminated. However, she did inform me my car was low on coolant and gave me a thorough explanation and gave me step by step instructions of what to do next. I appreciated honest businesses especially for car repairs. This is definitely the place to go.

Called and I let them know I had a leak and was told I could get my ac fixed , went in at 2:45pm they checked out my car , 4pm they said I was good to go, however they couldn t find my leak ? they just charged it and I would need to bring it back so they can fix it when they find the leak(which is probably what they tell everyone so they can charge them twice for Freon) I brought my car there to be fixed not to be fixed temporarily , I won t be going back .thanks for nothing , waste of time would give zero stars if I could.

Chicago Auto Radiator Service nailed it for me! I came in with a radiator from an antique car not really sure what to do with it or what was wrong with it. Robert immediately pointed out it's defect but also admitted that it probably wasn't leaking. I sought out a radiator specialist because I knew I didn't have the equipment or experience to re-core it myself. Robert and Carmen were both great in that they gave their honest opinion, took ample time to explain how and why, debunked a few cooling system myths I had, quoted me a price and stepped back to let me decide without feeling pressured.In the end I enjoyed our conversation, learned quite a few things from the pros (even though I have been a mechanic for 20 years) and walked away happy with an original radiator for my car that has been updated for today's driving conditions.Thanks guys!
