I took my 2014 Honda CRV to Bryn Mawr & Kedzie Auto Service Inc. for repairs on June 16th, 2022. I paid $1,080.80 for a failed timing chain as determined by the shop. Manufacturers, mechanics and automotive sources identify timing chains should last at least 80,000 to 100,000 miles.However, after a short 13 months and less than 14,000 miles, the new timing chain failed and I was back at the shop on September, 16th, 2023. Mr. Qendro stated the part was out of warranty and it would be necessary to get a new timing chain. Mr. Qendro offered me a deal to repair it for $1080.00 - the same price as the original repair. Lacking confidence in his shop s work given the failed timing chain, I had no choice but to have the vehicle towed to another shop. The mechanics there removed and viewed the damaged parts and shared a consensus opinion that no quality replacement should have failed in this way. Suggested possibilities were that the chain only was replaced and not the required and paid for kit components that would have lasted much longer. The consensus among them was that this was not quality work and I deserved restitution from the original mechanic, that being Bryn Mawr & Kedzie Auto Service Inc.. They further confirmed that the failed chain also presented the likelihood of additional significant damage to the engine. I am now demanding that Bryn Mawr & Kedzie Auto Service Inc. reimburses me $1,601.51 for the successful repair of the faulty item at another shop, however, they refuse to answer or return any of my calls, have no responded to the BBB complaint, and their lack of compassion or professionalism needs to be noted.

I've been here 2 times. My tire blow up and In went to there. That owner guy helped me. He was very friendly and he was honest. He charged 10 dollars for tire fixing and5 dollars for changing. It's a good price I think. Second time, it was yesterday. My another tire blow up :) I changed with myself. And he fixed another tire and I showed that I changed tire, because I wasn't sure did I change right. He said you did wrong and after that he made it right. And ilI think they are good. I can recommend.

If you are looking for a friendly, honest, and well experienced mechanic than this is the place for you! I have been taking my cars to Pilo (shop owner) for many years now. Pilo and his team are super nice and very honest! Everything is done right the first time at a very fair price. Good to know there are still good people out there. Would recommend 100%!!

I have been going to this place with multiple cars over time! They communicate well with you! Have excellent customer service, are honest with you about the fixes to your car. The owner is awesome! Great mechanics, service and just great place! Highly recommended!

Fortunately my old Nissan Versa is super reliable, but whenever it does need service Bryn Mawr & Kedzie Auto is my go to place. They get the job done, they're quick and honest, and have the best prices around.
