I m basically in love with this place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful from the receptionists to the mechanics. I really feel like I get the best deal on the work they do on my car. They re incredibly fast and won t push extra work on you that you aren t ready to pay for. I really trust them. They re very communicative about the work they re doing and what it will cost, and they keep my car running well. I don t live too far but even if I did, I d bring my car back to them. It s incredibly valuable to find a shop you can trust.

I went there recently to get my brake pads and rotors changed. The team there was nice and friendly, informative and quick. They did not try to sell me of stuff and services I didn't need. I would go back to them and recommend them to others.

My biggest fear is talking to auto specialists about my vehicle. In the past I have been lied to, uncharged, and without a car for weeks.My previous car had a lot of issues and I gave Brake for Less a try. The positive reviews about the shop encouraged me to bring my car.I explained the issue to Alvaro (owner) and he took a look at my car. I convinced myself the repair was going to take all weekend and was going to be very expensive. He called back and quote me the price. I was extremely happy to find out he knew how to fix the issue and the price was extremely affordable. He even had it done by the end of the day! I highly recommend Brakes 4 Less

Amazing service. I came in without an appointment at noon on a Saturday and was in and out in an hour. On my Toyota Corolla, I got my front rotors and brake pads replaced, and they did an oil change, all for 440$. Everyone was very kind, the waiting room was nice, and the service was so good. Will definitely come here again for all my car needs.

Brakes for less is one of the places you can definitely take your car for anything from brakes to suspension to simple fixes. I would recommend them to anybody. I've been using them for over 30 years. We had a problem and whenever I did. I took the car back and the problem was corrected right away. Breaks for less for all of your service over the years. I will continue to be a customer.

Fully functioning car - 05 Acura - emissions issues (not a real problem, but captured by the sensors). Alvaro and his team were able to get it solved and, while not on the Illinois EPA approved list, get the car passed and give me a few more years of service.I cannot more highly praise these guys.

I went to this location all they did was clear a code for the car to pass For the Emissions test And after a week the light came right back on and the same code was given this pleace is a ripe off do not come here

I don t know where to start! Let s start at the price first EXTREMELY REASONABLE! The front desk receptionist was very professional, polite, and precise. Upon arriving, they were very friendly and I don t think I was there for a full 20 minutes before my car was finished. When I got home, I realized they took the time out of their busy schedule to remove a dent from my car that has been there for years! I wish there was a way to give 10 stars because they deserve it! I m going to come here for all of my car needs from now on. I m going to recommend family and friends to this place! Thank you guys so much!Service: Brakes

Went here to get my brake pads replaced. I assumed I needed front and back, but they let me know I only needed the front done. Really appreciate their honesty, incredible pricing, and the work was done in less than an hour!

Great guys who know how to get stuff done. A few years ago, had both of my A-arms replaced. Today, the power steering rack & pinion & professional awareness on a motor mount I forgot to mention when I brought it in.Highly recommend!

Generally speaking, if you see a place that advertises "For Less" in it's name, you kinda have second thoughts. And that's understandable. As with auto care, "You can have it Good, Cheap, or fast as long as you pick 2.Here, that's not an issue. A no BS, kinda shop, These guys will bang out an issue with no issues. They are straight forward, on point with pricing, and honest. All within a friendly atmosphere that respects your time and money. Rare, do you find such a shop. They are a treasure for the North side when it comes to repairs and can do alot more than their "Brakes For Less" name implies. Try em, and see exactly what I mean.I don't speak Spanish. But they are VERY spanish friendly.

Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation I have for the Guys here! They went above and beyond my expectations. They changed my brakes and rotors for a great price. I was in and out in less then 1 hour. The fastest I ve ever experienced. They were even kind enough to pick up some parts for me. I am extremely grateful for the service and will be back in the future!!!

I m so grateful to everyone at Brakes for Less! I visited my brother in the city from 4 hours away and was super nervous when my brakes started to go halfway through the drive. When I made it to chicago, my brother and I drove together to find a parking spot and we both agreed that the car was probably totaled because of the awful noises it was making. I was so scared that I would be stuck in Chicago when I needed to work that week.We brought the car in at 12:30pm on a Saturday and they quickly assessed it and said they not only had all the parts to fix it, but they could finish it by 4pm that day! We left the car and got a call back at 3pm that it was ready to be picked up, and the price was much much less than I anticipated.They saved my weekend and my car is running perfectly! I would recommend them to absolutely everyone.

They did a great job on my brakes, great price, and incredibly nice. I also had them do a check because my engine was revving, turns out the pedal was sticking! I would highly recommend and definitely going back.

This place has been a lifesaver, the staff are awesome and they give you a fair price unlike a lot of places. They do a lot more than just breaks and are very understanding when you can t get everything done at once. They won t try to upswell you and they won t try to screw you, they work fast and do a great job. They re like your friend that you give a 30 pack to to fix your car but they have to make a living so they charge a fair price for labor. They saved me a lot of time, money, and headaches. They saved my brother about $1500 from what the dealer quoted. I can t recommend this place enough!

These guys don't just do brakes. I did get my brakes done there and it was an excellent job for less than anywhere else, with a guarantee. They did exhaust work for me. Recently I had a blown-out motor in my power window, they found the part and fixed it in the day. these guys are very honest very good work and I recommend them. Update, another issue and these guys found a part within an hour that the dealer said would take a month to get, showed me what exactly what was wrong, and got it fixed in the same day at a fraction of the cost of the dealer. These guys have great reviews because they do a great job. Highly recommend to anyone.

They took really good care of my car and the prices were very reasonable. I couldn't believe how fast my brakes were done and how small the bill was. I was prepared for the worst and had been jacked around by other mechanics in the neighborhood. Some of the more popular places treat you like they're doing you a favor by taking your money and squeezing you into an already overbooked schedule, which is absolutely not acceptable. From now on if I need anything done I will call brakes for less first and if they're not available I'm going to need a Xanax.

I went there first thing in the morning before they opened. There was already a line outside! So that tells me the business is very popular and must be good. I went for a much needed brake job. I was super scared they would charge me an arm and leg and my car is very old which turned previous shops off. All I wanted was my brakes fixed. Thank God they took my car with no hesitation! The price was right and they fixed it in less than 2 hours! I was back home in time for lunch! Definitely will be making them my go to maintenance shop.Service: Brakes

I ve come here twice for not minor repairs to an elderly, albeit very loved, Toyota that I m trying my hardest to keep alive. The last visit was, on paper: knowing my transmission had bit the bullet, me needing their verification so I could send the beloved car I ve had my whole adult life to car heaven. Though it s a gamble, they offered to install a used transmission at a price I couldn t ignore and ultimately won me over. Next day I was driving my baby again!And then I lost all gears said day.Towed it back to the shop, again expecting this was the end. Well upon further inspection they found the faulty component and replaced it free of charge! Look at the reviews here. They don t lie. These guys are d@mn good and give a d@mn. I wish I had found them way earlier!

I've taken my car here a couple of times now in the past two years and they always do an excellent job. The prices are very reasonable and they are very honest. They show you what's wrong with your car and give you a fair price. I highly recommend you go see Alvaro at Brakes for Less for any repairs.

I googled this place and noticed how many people were satisfied with their service. Dreading the price, I decided to go ahead and get my breaks checked due to the constant noise I was hearing. Upon arrival, I parked my car in the wrong spot and one of the mechanics asked if he could move my car. Additionally, he asked what the issue was and I told him I may have to get the front and back done separately. He was extremely nice and understanding. I ended up needing both done and all new rotors. But the price and service was excellent! I was in and out within about an hr! This is my first review, but I had do a review on this place. Highly recommend going here! If you work at the shop and you're reading this, thank you!

Edit... my second visit (4/2020) got my oil change done and new pads and rotor on the rear tires. And they even bled all the brakes etc and now my brake pedal feels quick and responsive! Fast and awesome legit people.First visit - Great service. And honest service. They told me what was wrong and not wrong with the brakes. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

These guys are great. The offer good prices and they get the job done without waiting for Long time.They will tell you exactly how long it will take for job to be done. They changed my wheel bearing and they called me as promised on time. I will go back there to replace my radiator soon.

They did a good job on my car. Reasonable price. Better make appointment before going there unless the person willing to wait long hours to get their service. Their work comes with a year warranty
