Last September, the timing chain on my 2013 X3 (65,000 mi) went an took the whole engine down. After a lot of searching and receiving a quote from the dealer, I decided to go with Bimmer Werkshop.They removed and replaced the engine with a factory new engine at the best price (way less than the dealer), and had it done in four days. It fired right up and it's been running smooth for nine months. They kept me informed and answered all my questions as I poked around under the hood. Brought in a vehicle for a coolant leak. Dave and Nelson were great. They ran a pressure test and put the car on the lift to show me the source of the leaks. I ultimately declined services but the quote was more than fair according to a friend that owns a BMW repair shop. When I asked how much I owed them for diagnostics and coolant top off when I picked the car up, they said nothing was due. Honest shop.

Outstanding customer service, fair prices, and long overdue appreciation for Dave and Nelson. Repairs, including vacuum pump, valve cover, coolant leak, and preventive maintenance, were expertly done. Their knowledge and honesty set them apart. Highly recommend!

Great technician to work with! My check engine light went on yesterday; they were busy but took out their lunch time to help me diagnose the issue. They were honest and informative. Definitely would be back! And I highly recommend people take their cars there! once again thank you.

You know the saying "If you want it done right, do it yourself", well Bimmer Werkshop is the exception to this rule.Can't speak highly enough of Nelson and the crew.You won't find a fancy waiting area with designer furniture and an espresso maker. What you do find is expert diagnostic and repair work at a reasonable rate. They don't charge book rate, but the actual time it takes them to do the job. They also take the extra step after do a full test drive to check their work.Only open weekdays. They can be busy and may not be able to take you right away but I appreciate this honesty.Did a diagnostic on my e39 540iT (no charge since it took 15min) and a couple suspension jobs on my e36 318ti. This place is a Gem if you own a BMW and are looking for a shop to work on your vehicle. If you didn t already know all they work on is BMW s, hence the name ha. I was very impressed by how knowledgeable, friendly and professional everyone at this shops is. Places like this makes me feel even better about my purchase of a BMW. I ve brought my 340i to this shop about 3-4 times for mostly preventative maintenance and a few other jobs. No matter what you bring your car in for these guys know what they re doing and they always deliver the car on time and at a reasonable price. I definitely see myself to be a long time customer of this shop and they have 100% earned my business.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

THIS SHOP IS AWESOME... I drove an hour just to use these guys and in the future, unless I am going to the dealership, I wouldn't bring my car anywhere but here... They were professional, clearly knew what they were talking about, unbelievably nice, on time, and were very respectful to me and my car. Most important to me though, they answered all of my (many, many, many) questions related to the service I was completing without acting annoyed or answering like I should somehow already know these things (which is not uncommon in this industry). They also told me how much everything cost prior to arranging the appointment, and SOMEHOW, when i got the bill, it was actually what they said originally - haha, does that ever happen?! I did a very expensive tune to my F90 M5 that is still under warranty, so needless to say I was quite worried about my baby. In retrospect, I never should have been because they did everything perfectly... Charged what they said they would, took how long they said it would, made me VERY happy when I took it for the first ride, just like they said I would. CAN NOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH!! I think I had stopped in twice to just ask Ryan questions about my car before I'd even spent any money. Knowledgeable, honest, and unpretentious dudes. The experience I'd been having at the dealer was terrible. The final straw was booking an appointment a week out for an oil change, upon arrival for my appointment the dealership told me it would be a 2 hour wait for an oil change. I grabbed my keys and came to Bimmer Werkshop the following day. In and out in less than an hour(they use a superior product as well). If you live in chicago and you're sick of wasting unnecessary time at the surrounding dealers give these guys a try.

We brought our 2005 330xi here for a bunch of repairs, and I would absolutely return in the future. Ryan and Nelson are experts at what they do, and they also clearly care a lot about the specific model of car that we have, which means a lot to us as customers. It's great to talk to people who know your car type inside and out. I also appreciated Nelson taking the time to show me the [extreme, lol] wear and tear on the old parts that were replaced and explaining some things to keep an eye out for going forward. Great first experience with this shop!

Went for a simple routine maintenance and the guys here were super welcoming and friendly. Not to mention that they were also very quick with their service and just let me hang out there while they worked on the car. They know what they re doing and I would trust them with any future maintenance and repairs.

I found this place after doing some research online for independent BMW mechanics as I no longer wanted to drive to the dealership (both because of pricing and distance to my home). After seeing extremely positive reviews for Bimmer Werkshop, and also seeing it is much closer to me than the dealership, I decided to drop in for an oil change, brake fluid flush, and rear brake pad replacement. Ryan was very professional from the moment a drove into the shop to the moment I drove out. He was upfront about pricing, provided recommendations after further checking the car out, and had the car ready in a day's time. Good pricing, convenience, and transparency are the markings of a great professional auto shop, and this place had all three. I will definitely rely on this place in the future for all my vehicle servicing needs, and recommend it to any other BMW owners, as these guys know their stuff!

These guys are just amazing mechanics and they like BMWs. We need to take care of places like this with honest mechanics that do really good work without trying to scam people with high prices. They had a really quick turnaround and finished the transmission on my M3 faster than promised. They also advised me on what parts to buy and what not to buy. Sadly, I don't have more than 5 stars so I can only give them that...Keep it up guys!Service: Transmission replacement

Love these guys! took my BMW 06 330xi for the first time in a independent shop for suspension work and the experience was amazing. I work in a dealership and my dealership was charging me an arm and a leg for the repairs, these guys beat their price beyond the ball park. I saved thousands of dollars. My car rides like a brand new car super comfortable especially since my commute is over an hour on the highway. Gonna be going to them from now, And definitely recommend over the dealerships especially if you have older vehicles!

Great experience! Bought a 2005 330i a few months back, needed general diagnostic, power steering pump and reservoir as well as expansion tank replaced. Did a professional job, extremely honest, fair price, gave me options and never pressured me into anything. On top of that gave me a suggested maintenance plan to follow for years to come. I am refreshing the systems in my 2002 330Ci convertible. Nelson, Ryan, and David have been proven to be easy to talk to, and they are patient enough to answer my questions about the work they're performing and any recommendations they make. Ultimately, they allow the customer to decide without being pushy about other services.So far, they've refreshed my suspension and cooling systems (on two separate occasions), and now I am preparing to have them do a few preventative maintenance tasks that I believe will enhance the longevity of my vehicle.These guys are BMW enthusiasts who come with solid knowledge and a love for the brand. After experiencing a repair shop that attempted to use cheap, inferior parts and charge me for BMW or OEM parts, I researched online and found the Bimmer Werkshop. Thus far, I am very happy with the results and the customer service. My hope is that I remain pleased with the services and the quality these guys present.Give them a try. I took my 650i Gran Coupe to Bimmer Weeks for the first time recently. My car recently came out of warranty and I was looking for a new place for service. I went to Bimmer Weeks based on their on-line reviews and they did not disappoint. Everyone was extremely friendly. In addition, the mechanic pointed out an issue that he suggested I get repaired at some point in the near future. He showed me the issue (a cracked driveshaft guibo disc) while the car was up on the lift. He said it was not urgent but he recommended I get it fixed fairly soon. I appreciated the honesty. They also gave me a quote for the repair so I know what to expect when I bring it in for service. It was definitely a positive first experience. And knowing that all of the mechanics who work there originally started at BMW dealerships is definitely comforting. I will definitely be back in the future and I highly recommend.

I recently hopped in a BMW X5 and my baby needed some work done, I made a phone call, the person who answered was Randy. We spoke about what was going on and what I possibly needed to have done and Randy was very knowledgeable about BMW s. I had spoken to others but speaking with him I was most comfortable. I decided to take my BMW to them and they were great!!! Very detailed in letting you know what the problems are and how to solve them. It s a good group of guys working there, friendly atmosphere and prices and labor are worth the work. They will make sure your BMW is road ready!!! I ve been twice in a week, and I ll be back to have more work done, happy to say my BMW found a home!!! There like all state your car is in good hands!!! Me and Dave talked bmw he was letting me know little things referring to the car, over all they are a great team of guys and they know they re stuff thanks guys be seeing you soon!!!

These guys are great. They really know their stuff. Suspected a vacuum leak and sure enough they found and fixed it for an unbeatable price. It would have taken me forever to figure out where it was. They also showed me everything else that might need addressing and a sway bar bracket that had cracked. I wouldn't have found that bracket until the next time I had her up in the air. All around great experience. Highly recommend to anyone with a BMW. 2004 330i

These guys are great, honest, and friendly! Saved me nearly $10k in repairs after Perillo botched an oil change, and then told me they'd need to replace several seals by my turbos and oil pan when I took it back after noticing some oil in my garage.I did some research, brought it to Bimmer, and they put it on the lift, and walked me through in person (for free). They cleaned the oil, had me drive for a weekend, and let me know that the oil filter just wasn't cleaned right during the change.The only place I'll take my car from here on out. You can tell they are passionate about BMWs.

I was thinking about buying a used X5 and brought it to these guys for an inspection. They immediately checked it out and warned me of a potential transmission issue that was likely to occur in short order. They told me to run away from the car and wouldn t accept payment for the inspection because they spotted it pretty quickly! They were super busy, no less. Really honest and good guys!

I went here on a recommendation from a friend, and it was a great experience. I called a couple of days ago, and they were able to order the part from the dealer and fit me in right away this week. The process took shorter than expected, and I was charged less than quoted because of that. There were no upselling attempts, which was a first at a mechanic for me. I had a battery replaced in my BMW and they were able to register it to my car. I went in first thing in the morning and they took care of it right away. Pricing was more than reasonable and I highly recommend them.
