Have been coming here mostly for oil changes but have had a couple of repairs done as well. They are very professional, reliable, honest and nice. They do not hard sell you but explain what is needed, where you can cut corners, and what can be put off for a time. Every time I go in for service I get detailed summaries of what needs fixing and I have never been overcharged or hit with surprise fees.

I completely trust Bavarian Motors. The accommodated me with an emergency, stayed in touch throughout the repair and even completed the work ahead of schedule. They're in my neighborhood, but I'd drive from anywhere in the Chicago area for their excellent service.

They are simply the best. Highly competent (trained through BMW and having worked at BMW dealerships in Chicago), good communicators, honest (never pushing additional work not really needed) and friendly. I bought a 03 E39 M5 a year ago local. I had Bavarian Motors and another independent shop highly rated for BMW service do pre-purchase inspections on the car. Bavarian went above and beyond in how thorough they were and how fairly priced they are for the service. Since then, they have taken care of any issue and service needed. If you have a BMW and are in the Chicago area, I would make Bavarian Motors the 1st choice. Honest hard-working mechanics who walk you through what the car needs, nothing more nothing less and at a reasonable price. True BMW specialists and enthusiasts!

I can't say enough good things about this shop. Ever since my car came out of warranty I have been using this place for annual maintenance and anything else that pops up.Sure, they change oil, trans fluid, check brake and tire wear... but what really won me on Bavarian Motors was their honestly and character as a business. When I had pretty bad grinding upon turning the steering wheel that vibrated violently through the entire steering column and to the wheel I was at a loss. I scoured the forums and read about multiple potential culprits with the steering rack, tie rods, etc... Multi thousand dollar jobs to repair.When I took it to Bavarian Motors - turns out my charge pipe (modified FBO car, which included an aftermarket charge pipe) had come loose and was rubbing on the steering assembly. Apparently not common.A dishonest shop could have raked me over the coals, but not here... they identified the issue and quickly fixed it for a couple hundred bucks. That was over a years ago and all is well. They put the customer first and fixed the exact problem rather than try to upcharge on other issues that I honestly probably wouldn't have known the difference on. That type of honestly alone, is worth its weight in gold.Just today they saved me again with an emissions issue I had been dealing with for months.My only criticism is that they don't like to deal with installing aftermarket parts (otherwise, they'd be my go-to for that too)... but I understand why as these are certified and trained BMW technicians doing thing by the book to OEM spec.Great company, great management, and great customer service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Honesty, integrity, good work and fair prices. I ve owned a lot of BMWs and have tried many dealers and shops in Chicago, but BM is the best. My car once had symptoms of a cracked charge pipe (a common issue on that engine). They told me the charge pipe just came loose, and they fixed it for free. Most shops would have done the full repair for $500 (after all I asked for it). But that act of honesty earned them a loyal customer for life. They ve done both big (clutch) and small (brake flush) and work was always great.

Probably the best place I have ever dealt with. I would highly recommend it. I dealt with Robby through a major engine problem, he walked me through the whole process, advised me on how to work with my warranty program and dealt with all of my annoying emails. I doubt I will take my BMW's anywhere else after this experience. After we got my issue resolved I brought my wife's car in and they were just as helpful. This place is the real deal. Thank you Bavarian Motors and Robby for everything!!!

Started bringing my post warranty BMW X5 for the last couple years. I can t say enough about the honesty and integrity of Bavarian Motors. I my routine maintenance taken care of at a price substantially lower than the dealer. Even bigger though is when I have had non routine maintenance related issues.Had a check engine light come on which could be a multitude of things, but turns out it was a simple fix and the car repaired in under an hour.Another issue just today where I had a rattle while driving of course assumed the worst because of past dealer experiences. Turns out to be replacement and re-riveting of some plates under car. Issue was diagnosed before my Uber arrived and was able to cancel ride and wait. Again, a visit that took under an hour. Bring in your BMW to Bavarian Motors and give them a chance to earn your business.Thank you Bob and Erica for another great experience.

I ve been going to Bavarian Motors for years. They (Robbie & the entire service department) are friendly, kind & knowledgeable about the cars they service. Definitely a plus that their prices are much more reasonable on my BMW as opposed to the dealership prices! Whether it s a simple oil change or replacing my alternator... hands down the best service department in Chicago! Very honest and reasonable prices. When I brought my car for service I was informed that the issue would be covered under manufacturer's warranty and should be brought to the dealer. Most places would have made the repairs and charged me for it regardless. Not Bavarian Motors. Great people who make owning a BMW more affordable.

If you have a BMW there is no better place to take your car. Hands down. They know what they're doing, keep you up to speed with everything, are extremely fair with pricing, and tell you what you should do now vs what to look out for down the road. Couldn't ask for more from a shop.

I like working on my BMW. When it's beyond my capabilities, this is the only shop I trust. The biggest reason being that they are laser focused on fixing the issue, not maximizing revenue per service client. That is the reason they're so busy. Technicians are also incredibly generous with their time/expertise. They know I work on my car and are more than happy to answer any questions I have and help me navigate issues that come up.

This was my first time coming here and overall was a good experience. I contacted them yesterday to come today regarding an oil change and they were able to get me in without an issue. I brought in my BMW 550 and finished the oil change promptly. They didn't try to upsell me on anything. The price was very reasonable and everybody was friendly. I definitely plan on returning for future work.

I have had my car serviced at Bavarian Motors seven times. That ought to be enough for a review. I am really glad I found this service shop for my BMW. I have always taken good care of my car and I really trust the team at Bavarian Motors to get it fixed right the first time. I have an extended warranty on my car and there were a couple instances where I had to commit to a certain amount of money for the technician to confirm the problem for the insurance company, but their diagnosis of the issue was always spot on. I will gladly continue to take my BMW to Bavarian Motors for repairs.For slightly more context, Bavarian Motors has repaired the following items on my car (most of which were indicated by Service Engine Soon lights or other dashboard warnings): fuel injectors, valve cover, door lock actuator, turbo inlet pipes, oil pan gasket, air conditioning condenser (in the dashboard), and again for a routine service.

Found Bavarian Motors on Yelp and after reading all the amazing reviews, decided to make an appointment. Scheduling the appointment was extremely easy and they had several options of dates/times that worked with my schedule. Had previously been to 2 local dealerships regarding the passenger rear view mirror not working properly and received very high estimates.Today I was greeted at the door by Benny (owner), explained the issue and he gave me 2 options to fix the problem and the approximate cost which was much much lower than the dealership. I waited about 30mins and Benny explained that they made a simple fix and there was NO COST! I was pleasantly surprised by his honesty and friendly manner. Benny gave me a few tips on what to pay attention to in the future in terms of repairs and oil change needs which was very helpful.Do yourself a favor, pay attention to the reviews and make an appointment here for your next service. I will no longer make the long trek out of the city to a dealership up North with rude customer service. Will be coming back to Bavarian Motors for future car issues. Thanks Benny!

Benny and the craftsmen at Bavarian Motors have been servicing my now classic BMW since it was new,. They just know how to; diagnose the issues, prevent future problems, and keep my ride comfortable and safe. They are smart and prudent. I loved my car since it was new, but the fact it is being maintained so well, and I may add prudently, I have not had to replace it. My 325 is as great as ever, it performs well, rides wonderfully and looks great. I have to credit the fact I have Bavarian to help look after it. They have no doubt, saved me a fortune over all this time. I have always been treated very fairly and with respect for both me and my car.

Benny and the entire staff is amazing. They have been servicing my BMW for about 3 years. Always honest, fair and let me know what maintenance will be needed in the future. Sometimes when calling I get their voicemail and leave a message. Amy in the office calls back to schedule. I would not own my 10 year old BMW if I didn't have them to service at a fair price. These folks are awesome!

Extremely thorough and friendly mechanics. They'll tell you everything that needs to done, as well as give you the full list of repairs that can put off for a while. As with any BMW mechanic, be prepared to part with large sums. These guys are excellent, but not cheap.

I highly recommend these guys since they know BMWs inside and out. My experience with them is an interesting one for me. I was visiting the city from Ohio with my girlfriend. On one very very cold Chicago day, while we were waiting for a traffic light on the magnificent mile, my E46 decided to start overheating. I immediately pulled over and I knew I was in need for a good mechanic. I looked at the Google reviews and found R&N Bavarian to be a very favored choice. I called a tow truck and got my car towed to their place. Even though they were extremely busy, they understood my situation, accepted the car for immediate service, and promised to fix it as soon as possible so I can go back to Ohio. Within couple hours, I have been told that the fan clutch was the culprit and they were able to fix it. They did not even charge me labor, it was just the parts. Highly recommended!!

Awesome service all around. Robby always explains everything, is never pushy with repairs and is honest about what needs to be done and what doesn t. Incredibly fast to respond, always have my bmw repaired quickly and never over the estimate. These guys rock!! If you have a bimmer in the city this is the place to go.

Poor customer service, car was dropped off Thursday, nobody touched base until Monday and even Monday they were confused about the items that I'd requested be repaired. Currently mid afternoon Tuesday and some items haven't been started. I'm going to pick up my car and have someone else address the issues, the timeline here is absurd. Replacing a tire usually takes 1 day even with special order tires, we're pushing a week here and they still haven't placed the order.Services: Tires, Engine repair

I had a noise establish when the engine was in idle. I took my car in. I met Robby who was able to diagnose the problem within 30s and told me crank case was not properly ventilated and I needed a new valve cover. The problem was fixed. The car has no rough idle or noise anymore. Benny was able to explain me all the work done on the car when I picked it up. He is very thorough explaining the work done or it might need in near future. I hope these guys do very well with their business and keep on providing honest and trustworthy service to BMW owners. I am lucky to have them in town.

Very bad experience. We took a bmw for overheat problem and Rubby the manager call us to give the price for the fan and his work , and we decided not to repair with them and find a cheaper way , because to change the fan took 2 min , and we send the town to bring back the car.Incredible but true the car arrived with a different fan, we have the prove because we bought by amazon and we couldn t return to buy another because is differentWe call him and he very agresivo said you don t have the prove to denounce and hang up the phone.We send email but no answer. A shame for the reviews they have. They disappointed is. We don t recommend this shop

Quotes are very fair priced compared to other BMW mechanics in Chicagoland. Price and the super helpful and professional staff will be the reason I continue taking my car here.
