Catalytic converter was stolen and this was the closet to where the car was and had good reviews.Check engine light came on after 6 weeks, and the car accrued less than 900 miles since the repair.The 02 sensor was faulty.Do yourself a favor and go to a recommended auto shop by insurance - mine guarantees the work and part for the lifetime of the vehicle, I just wasn't informed about it until after this issue.Do not recommend Augusta and Paulina!!!!

I dropped off my Audi on Tuesday and was called on Wednesday with bad news that my older car needed a new engine and all the additional costs that would be required. The team honestly told me that it wasn t worth the expensive replacement of an engine and that I should donate or have the car towed away. I was horrified, but knew their advice was sound and they were so kind and explained exactly what was going on multiple times. Once I arranged the pick up, I called the guys and they told me that they would not charge me for the evaluation, and I almost cried. I mean that. They were patient and helped the tow truck company tow my Audi from their lot and I could not be more grateful. Please use them as they are a decent company and have lots of experience. FIVE STARS!!!!

My check engine light came on and the diagnostics (I had the diagnostics test elsewhere) showed I needed a new turbo charger. My buick encore ran without any indication that this was the problem. I waited about 10 months and the check engine light which was on, then off, then came back on again. When Augusta and Paulina took it apart they replaced a dirty valve, and so far all is well with my buick. They didn't replace the turbo charger, which would have been an additional $1200, at least.

In April, they installed a new battery in my relatively clunky car (2002 Chevy Cavalier). I had some trouble getting her started once it got cold, so I brought her back in. Turns out it was the battery again. They stood by the work they did in April and replaced the faulty battery at no cost to me, which I truly appreciated! Also, the work was speedy, and the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend!

I live around the corner and stopped in this morning. I had started by taking my car to Jiffy Lube because my Check Engine Light was on, and they said I needed to take it into an auto-shop for a smoke test. When I stopped in, the gentleman talked with me for a few minutes and heard my problem, let me know they were booked out until the 18th, but still ran the code on my car (to see what the problem was) and took 10-15 minutes to help me troubleshoot (although there was nothing they could do that day). He was SUPER helpful, kind and thorough. I will definitely be coming back to this place in the future to get my car serviced!!

Took my auto in because the OBC gave engine light that could be 1000 things going bad my personal OBC tester gave me the code of the problem so I took it in $200 dollars later the sensor is replaced with original factory part I'm one happy camper EXCELLENT SERVICE PROVIDED...A Great Neighborhood Garage a must have in MID-TOWN and Wicker Park area..Service: Electrical repair

These guys went above and beyond! They were super quick to get my car fixed and had a little hiccup and they didn't just resolve it but went above and beyond to take care of my car! There is no other mechanic shop that I will be going to except for these guys! No matter where I live in the Chicago area!

Augusta and Paulina Auto Repair did a great job for me. They were super courteous, explained what went wrong with my car, explained the pricing, and got the work done quickly for a fair price. My Hyundai suddenly started sputtering and the check engine light started flashing only a few days after I moved to the area and I'm so glad they were nearby. I would also add that they seem to treat their mechanics well. This happened just before the Labor Day weekend and the shop was closed both Saturday and Monday. Personally, I'm glad that the guys working there got to enjoy the long weekend, even if it means I have to wait an extra day or two on my car.Update: My partner and I have taken both of our cars here multiple times (the joys of 15+ year old cars) and they have always been great. So friendly, totally reasonable, including once not charging us anything because there was a faulty computer error. We see them for anything car related: oil changes to installing a new clutch because we know we can trust Aurelio and the team to give an honest assessment of the risks and treat us fairly. Stand up guys!

My local garage. First time going in was for brake replacement. Fast service with fair prices, they called me with an estimate before doing the work. No upselling which was nice, and it was easy to make an appointment and drop off my car. Will definitely be coming back.

Honest and solid work. My fianc� s SUV had symptoms of a very expensive problem and I fully expected to pay high dollar. They identified it as a much simpler problem and only charged for labor. I needed a new wheel bearings on my car: they identified the driver s side as being the primary issue, with a slight issue with the passenger side bearings. When I asked do you think I need to replace the passenger side, as well? (to which mechanics looking to make a quick additional buck would reply it s a good idea ), they said not at all, you can just come back in if the passenger side gets worse . I have a close family friend who is a mechanic in a much cheaper market than Chicago, and Augusta & Paulina s prices where almost identical to the price quoted by my friend. I place a very high value on honesty and so far this shop has been very honest and forthright.

Would highly recommend them to service your vehicle! My car wouldn t start and figured it had something to do with the battery. I live around the corner and they were kind enough to walk over and jump my car. They were able to work me in and finished the car within a few hours, same day. Really great customer service and a special thanks to Aurelio!

I have been going to Augusta & Paulina Auto for several years. They are honest, fairly priced, and quick. One time my battery died when I was in the area and they walked over with a portable jumper to get the car to the shop. Another time I had to get the car towed there (alternator died) and the AAA guy said he takes cars there all the time. I don't hesitate to refer anyone to the shop and will continue to go there in the future.

I love these guys. They do great work, are fairly priced, reliable and friendly. It feels great to have a trusted mechanic in the neighborhood. It s the only place we take our car for everything from oil changes to more extensive repair work.

These guys are the best! I've been bringing my (occasionally troublesome) Cavalier here for about a year and they have always treated my car and I wonderfully!From finding a financially feasible way to deal with the handful of issues that came with it when I purchased it to its recent tricky engine light problems that required multiple visits, they have been amazing. The pricing is fair, the work is quality, and as I found out with my engine light issues: they're happy to take a second look and make sure that they get it right if any issues persist after a visit. Also, I've never felt that I've been taken advantage of due to my lack of car knowledge, as I have with past repair shops. In fact, the guys at Augusta & Paulina have saved me money by letting me know in my initial visits that certain fixes I thought I needed were actually unnecessary.Once again, they are amazing! I'm happy to have found a reliable and trustworthy team to work with to keep me and my car on the road. And less relevant, but I'm also impressed that they recognize me when I walk in, even if it's been a while and I'm wearing a wig, haha. :)

Excellent place! Great customer service, fast, reliable, honest, and reasonable prices. Hopefully my old car will continue to hang in there, but if she needs any more work, I'll definitely come back here. Two thumbs up!

Have gone to them twice and was very pleased both times. I was pretty sure I knew what was wrong with my car the first time, and they were the only place I called that took the time to look up the book estimate for that job. I ended up being correct, and the price they gave me was in line with their estimate...they even told me to bring my own antifreeze for them to use to save money.

Great experience, every single time. Even when I think my question/problem/request is the most ridiculous thing ever, they are nice, friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. I have been taking my car here for the past year and will continue to do so. My husband has started taking his here too. I am so glad I found such a great HONEST mechanic to use for everything!

My ride is getting fixed up right this very minute. when I dropped it off, Robert let me use his screwdriver to fix replace my own spark plug wires, distro cap and rotor, right there in his garage area. awesome! all the reviews are true: he's incredibly patient, knowledgeable and honest. two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

I started going here based on many positive recommendations from members in the Ukranian Village Facebook group, and have been very happy with my service.They are fairly priced and honest. Rather than an intensive repair they recommended first trying an inexpensive fix that they wouldn't make any money from, recommending only returning if it failed to improve.I have seen them for multiple issues and they are always a fair price when comparing other mechanics, very quick, and very pleasant. I plan to continue seeing them, primarily due to their honestly. The manager of this site is also fantastic.

I love having a reliable and quality auto shop right in the neighborhood. I ve been going here for years for my oil changes. Service and prices are impeccable. They have also helped me with several flat tire situsations and honestly don t know what I would have done without them. They turn bad car days into good ones!!! I highly recommend this place for anything your vehicle might need.

This place is great. They do good work, stand behind it, charge fair prices, and don't try to upsell unnecessary work. Very honest about what needs to be fixed and what does not. Also very nice and accommodating. It's the only place I'll go to get work done on my car these days.

The team at Augusta and Paulina has always been very fast, professional and fairly priced whenever I go there. I started going to them because my sister lives in the area (I live in Oak Park) and now my whole family relies on them with anything we need done on our cars. It is nice to have such a dependable team as your mechanic.

These guys are great! The power steering on my car went out and I made the mistake of taking it to the dealer. The dealer charged me $300 just to do an estimate and that estimate came to about $3000 to replace the entire power steering system in my car. I wanted a second opinion and took the car to the guys at Augusta & Paulina.Later that day they called to say that I probably just needed a new battery in the car because my power steering is electric and with the cold weather and an old battery (I'd never replaced the original battery), it was likely there just wasn't enough juice to power it. They put in a new battery and everything has worked great since. Oh, and it cost me less than the estimate from the dealer.You should definitely go here.
