Sun Feb 4 3pm went in to buy meguires tire shine and ended up seeing a $25 bundle that included a bucket. When I went to purchase the two items I told the kid, Mr. Bennett that I wanted the bucket deal. He rang me up for 2 items only. 30 minutes later, with the help of his manager, who was no brighter than him, goes to refund me for the two bottles, then tells me let me just rering this up real quick, and we ll get this taken care of goes to charge me for the bundle and since I only had $35 to begin with on my credit card The purchase was declined. Like deer in the headlights He then tells me the refund will take several days. Ended up leaving without any products and a hold on my card for the refund! What dumb youth is running this location. Both need major retraining on how to take care of customers. Btw The first kid was trying to reset the computer because it froze up on my refund and didn t even know that he needed to hit the power button on the computer. He was hitting the power button on the monitor and thought that would reset the computer. I could not believe my eyes. Complete morons

advance Auto has been around in West Chicago a long time. I've been buying parts here for years. Employees are always helpful and very knowledgeable. Went in the other day Minh helped me, he really knows his parts. He even made a few suggestions that helped me out.

Rude manager, smoking a cigarette with the door half open blocking the entrance. Doesn t greet and seems bothered to help, just sits and stares you down or will start doing random tasks until you get his attention. Always sporting a bad attitude. I always try to avoid this place unless I need a part they have.

waste of time they do not even match their own online prices in the store.went to buy headlights ,50$ at advance, 25$ on amazon for the exact product delivered next day

I cannot say enough great things about these guys! This location in west Chicago is by far the best Auto Parts place that I have ever gone to. They are extremely helpful and courteous. I have never had someone that was unwilling to help. I have seen some people come and go over the years, but the new manager Tim and his staff have been perfect. If they don't have a solution they have actually called other people for me. I build cars as a hobby, so what I am looking for is not the usual stuff. If I want it they try to get it, whatever it may be. There loaner tools are great since I can't have everything. I will expect them to keep up the great work!!

Went in for a battery replacement, and got it installed in 20-minutes. Courteous service, and the AutoZone around the corner refused to install my battery due to a bracket. I'm an ASE certified mechanic and watched the counterman replace the battery and he did everything proper. Even hooked up a battery charger so I didn't lose my radio presets. Great service, highly recommended.

Went in due to a malfunctioning starter and bad battery. Was well taken care of during my visit and was given a great experience. Extra shout out to Daryl for all of his efforts.

Have a service engine light that came on in the truck, talked with employees about reading the code, even though the temperature was -3. Employee put on his jacket, and read the codes, and let me take pictures for my records. After standing in the cold, and giving me the codes, employee asked if there was anything else he could help with.Very nice and helpful people, even is the frigid cold.

We can in needing air conditioning fluid on a 90 degree day. We asked of they could put it in and they said they couldn't but we figured we could figure it out. I went back in asking if we had the wrong sixes because we're super car ignorant. After 10 minutes of trying to figure it out a manager and our cashier came out and coached us on how to. Amazing help. We were hot and frustrated and they were helpful to the ignorant.

Will never return to this location again. I bought a part at the Glendale Heights store and when I got home I noticed it didn't include everything it should. Not a problem. I called up the Glendale Heights store and was told they don't have another one that I can go to another location that has one and exchange it. West Chicago was a location that had one, so I called them and had them put the part on hold. Once I got there the girl looked at me and the part in my hands and asked, "What is that?!" I explained what happened and how it was missing parts and I just got a dirty look from her and told me I can't exchange it at their location that I must return it at the original store. I laughed because I thought she was just joking around, but I soon realized she wasn't and I told her that I was told I could. She kept insisting on that I couldn't and told me that they close at 8pm that I better hurry(Later I found out they actually close at 9). I got really pissed off at walked out. I called up the Glendale Heights store and they told me they probably didn't take it because it would hurt their sales even though it isn't right of them because it is a $50 part and shouldn't matter how much it is, they should provide A+ customer service. Well I got horrible customer service and the district manager will be getting a call. I went to the Carol Stream location and they did they exchange no problem. Stay far away from this West Chicago location.

I've had several direct experiences with this store too... half the time, the parts aren't in stock. The other half of the time, they sell you the wrong parts. At least they handle returns well, because they have to do a lot of them. If you really want to be sure you get the right thing when you need it, just go west on Roosevelt to NAPA.

Hello Advance Auto Parts,I usually dont do this, but at this time in life, i couldnt have seen seen anything better than what i just witnessed with your store employee (and not the big guy) the other one on handling an impaired customer.He was so kind and blessed to do what he did and especially in retail you dont see that as much any more for the customer - to go above and beyond - as he didnt have the parts to provide to the customer - he called as him (the customer) and was able to find parts for him at another location,, walked him thru where the other location was on his own personal phone, wrote it down step by step on paper where to turn in and on all directions. Man, honestly this needs to be seen by the world and trend on; what an exceptional act this employee performed for this impaired customer. I couldnt have witnessed this better in any way shape or form. This is what you call "Going the Extra Mile" I hope to have someone like him on my team for my company.Thanks,Moez

The man who helped me was very nice but when returning my rotor the system printed out my return weird but overall he was helpful.

poor service ... and bad to return items....the don't accept return ..so .im recommends go to different store ..where you can return the parts if you don't need and want to return....
