I've been here a couple of times now and I just have to leave a review for Geoff and his team.The first time I came in, my dealership had quoted me on fixing the A/C for my vehicle and the price was very extreme. I came here to get a second opinion and surprise, surprise, my dealership was trying to make me pay for unnecessary maintenance. Geoff and his team repaired my A/C and did not see any of the issues that the dealership said was wrong with my car. Geoff even took me inside the garage to explain what I would be seeing if what the dealership had said was true, and demonstrated that everything was running as it should, the A/C just needed a charge. They saved me a lot of money and I appreciate how very open and honest they were!After that experience, I had no doubts about coming back this week. My parked car was hit overnight and I woke up to see my driver side mirror was hanging off. We called the shop up and they were able to see us right away. The part had to be ordered so I didn't get an immediate fix, but it took no more than a few days and they called me to come in as soon as it arrived. I couldn't make it in that afternoon but went in first thing in the morning and it was as good as new! All this to say, this shop is so accommodating and do their very best to help you as soon as possible! I have no doubts that if the part was available I would have had my car fixed within the first couple of hours after finding the damage. I appreciate that they were willing to even fix my car as soon as the part arrived without having set that appointment beforehand. This was a stressful experience that I don't want to go through again, but the silver lining was definitely how reliable and efficient the mechanics were here at Acorn! Thank you so much for the great work!!

I have been a customer of Acorn for quite a number of years now and I continue to be very satisfied with the quality of the products and services I receive. I recently had two vehicles in for a LOT of maintenance including tires for both cars, coolant flushes, front pads and rotors and other needs. Prices were competitive and the work was performed in a timely manor, my vehicles were returned in great shape. I will continue to be an Acorn customer for as long as I am driving!

Was travelling through the Chicago area on holidays when I had car troubles. They took my vehicle in and had it repaired within 24 hours so I could keep my travel plans. Great work and very accommodating! If you have work to be done to a vehicle I highly recommend!

I've been coming here for a while and its always an awesome service. They always give reasonable quotes and the best advice to keep my car maintained. I never have trusted anywhere else but here and will continue to do so. I get the same talk my dad often gives me for not checking my oil and its well deserved on my end. As a busy bee this is the best service in the area.

Brought my RS to get the rear tire patched and an alignment. Called in and was helped same day. Tech also let me know other issues going on with my car. Great place with great people. Appreciate the honesty, and the great customer service!

I got a flat, which caused me to take a closer look at my tires. I noticed the tread was worn on all four and decided to replace them. Found a good deal online on Goodyear tires, Acorn was one of the dealers and it's in the hood. I gave them a call. Jeff went through the options and advised me to buy online, rather than through him, for better pricing. Although online I could only book an appointment online for two days later, Jeff said he'd call me when the tires came in and he'd squeeze me in. And so he did. He was also up-front about the pricing for the warranty on the alignment. Overall, a very good experience. Flexible and considerate. I wouldn't hesitate to get tires from Acorn again.

I have taken many cars for service to Acorn and am always pleased with the service. However, this time I was especially impressed. I loaned out my 2007 Honda Civic and the driver hit a snow bank, completely popping off the passenger side of the bumper and the inner wheel covering causing it to rub on the tire. I took this into Acorn hoping for the best and they popped the bumper back in and fixed the wheel. If it wasn't for the crack in the bumper, I never would have guessed it had been damaged. All this for a very low cost! Thank you Acorn!

Geoff was very kind and great to work with. I went in for an issue with my transmissions transponder. It was a simple fix that didn't require much but he also took the time to check my wiper blades and other issues and offered me solutions for both issues. Will definitely return for any car related issues.

The staff at Acorn, especially Michael, are top notch. They are professional, kind, patient, and take the time to explain all the nuances involved with my aging vehicle. I initially visited Acorn due to its close proximity to my home, but my family and I continue to return due to the honesty and transparency their crew delivers. I recently had my 2011 Honda Fit taken in for what I suspected to be a faulty alternator after the cold snap, but I suspected there were probably a few other gremlins under the hood that needed service. I wound up with a new battery, new set of tires, a new drive belt, as well as some flushes that were overdue, helping winterize my car. I called Acorn around 6:00 PM on a Thursday, and my car was good as news within 24 hours - Michael helped walk me through the additional necessary repairs and proposed cost saving solutions in an extremely timely fashion.

Sat before Easter I noticed very low tire pressure and saw large nail. Acorn fixed it in a hour. Very pleasant staff. Very reasonable price. Will use them again

Geoff was so professional and very patient with me. He took his time, to give me options and advice on what type of tires I should get according to my budget over the phone, then set up an appointment to get it done. Service was flawless, and great coffee while waiting in the lobby.At the end, they advised me on what I should keep an eye on, that would need attention pretty soon.Thank you Acorn Tire and Service.

This place is terrible. I cannot stand the service that they provide store manager is rude and when you ask about prices they're over priced very high and does not make any sense. You may as well go to the dealer. Because at any opportunity that they are trying to rip you off for is worse than what you would get at the dealer they give you tires that are beyond expired sitting on the rack for more than 2 or 3 years, and they put on the tires thinking that they are beyond brand new. Not what I really would initially want for service in an auto center and I have run shops myself. I have done things on cars myself. I'm a mechanic myself. This place is beyond the worst place. You can bring your car to a real place that will actually service you the proper way how you'd want to be treated, so please stay away. Or let your car and tires go through the negative treatment they out staff and customers through. I've even had customers ask why is the treatment of the employees done so terribly. Had no answer. It repulses me and my thought process to actually think miscommunication can stand the way it does here. Can't even get tires mounted on cars with the proper size dimensions and lose keys when they have a designated space in a box for the keys to be placed. You have Firestone and Midas right across the street. Go there. Foreal it makes no sense to waste your time. I am a local Google guide. Please keep yourselves away. Lazy management and dishonest owner. Plain and simple. Nevermind the customers who threaten you for simplicity when they're from the cartel because they're cars are horribly maintained, or who lie on a Google review about people who truly want to service you when you're here. I wish I could post the pictures of what my tires I purchased here look like just 3 months after I bought them but I cannot. ZERO STARS! Across the street from home depot right? Yeah. Stay away.

Gave me a $500 estimate for some front suspension work, after dropping off my car, and agreeing to have the estimated work done they wound up handing me an invoice for $3490.00, then after doing what they can they ultimately hand me an invoice for $3000 my only option being financing at 125% interest over the next three years or they keep my car for an additional two days and put all the original parts back into the car, which I don t trust them to even do that, who really knows what may have been put back into my car. So I ended up financing for an outrageous interest rate just to get my vehicle out of this shop.It took me less than 500 feet to realize that my alignment is so bad that it is constantly pulling me into oncoming traffic constantly!Wildly Unsafe!The ethics of the Geoff, and the way he runs this shop is horrible.The shop is busy, they get overwhelmed, I get that I understand that, but all they do is lie to you about why they re running behind. They never actually say they re running behind they think of every ridiculous lie in the book to tell you so they can justify keeping your car, Which is ridiculous. If you do good work the right way people will understand that it takes time.I thought I found a good shop to do work but I ve had two experiences there and both of them have been very negative. The first time they charge me $520.00 to replace two ignition coils and nothing else and kept my car for two days to do it.It s unfortunate that I shopped. It takes so many years to build up a good reputation can be brought down so quickly by an individual and the way he runs it.If you are considering this business to work on your car, I would reconsider, because not only did they take a lot of my money and put me in a very difficult financial situation for the next few months, they left my car in an unsafe way, and I don t feel comfortable even approaching them about repairing The damage they caused, and this will cost me more money somewhere else.Very disappointing.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

My experience with Acorn Tire has been very good. They diagnos the issue and provide an estimate to fix. I really appreciated the tire stem fix on my 911. It was driving me crazy that the tire wouldn't hold air.Thanks guys.

Solid initial consultation for the replacement of four tires. Acorn offered the best price. Installation time (couple hours) was reasonable. Tested the work out that weekend with a 500 mile trip. Smooth drive and low noise with the new tires. Very happy.Service: TiresService: Tires

It was a very bad experience primarily because of the attitude of one service person. He argued with a man in the waiting room before my car was ready. Then he raised his voice with me when I asked questions about the apparent problem. I had to ask a manager to stay with us as we discussed the issue since I didn't trust the way he was responding to me. I won't be coming back.

Great got me in and out, Ziegler of lincolnwood, told me I had to leave my car over the weekend, Acorn got me in and out in 2 half hours, great service, these are some hard working people, their service is excellent, I will not be going anywhere else. Dimitri and Louis are the best.

Do you even have a nitrogen fill tank? I passed by a few months ago and got nitrogen filled in my tires. they said it was nitrogen but it wasn t it was oxygen cause my light turned on right after and I have another shop put real nitrogen on my tires. Maybe the BBB should come check and verify if acorn has a nitrogen fill tank. Geoff and Frank!!

Very unprofessional! Since I decided to bring my own parts, service writer decided to not tell me of other issues they found on my car, but yet said on the receipt that I denied the repair when I did not. Very expensive also, since I brought my own parts they charged me more per hour, and since it took them longer than book time they then called me and said it would cost $150 more for the labor only. I understand the removal of the axle shaft was difficult, but after seeing the old axle shaft I have to inspect my car for other possible damage caused due to the removal process.I am very disappointed with the service I got from the North Aurora Ave. Acorn tire.I would only trust them for tire installation and front end alignment.I have since looked at the motor mount that was torn and saw the damage on the mount caused by the replacement of the axle.I will not return to Acorn tire for any further work and I will advise anyone I know not to go there.Service: Wheel alignment

Do NOT go to Acorn Tire on Lincoln. Ridiculously expensive. Not only do they charge morevthan any mechanic I have ever been to but SURPRISE!!...a 10% upcharge that they call a "shop charge". What's a shop charge? Well they struggled to answer but apparently they charge for the "use of their shop rags and tools". Wait, isn't that included? Guess not.

I've been going here for years. They always take great car of my car and walk you through the estimates while answering any question. If you bring an estimate from another mechanic, they'll break that down for you, too so you can compare. All work is updated to my Carfax report so I don't have to manually do it.They're always easy to work with when you get a repair/service with a warranty. I got a dinger of a battery once and they replaced it immediately without fuss. I got a lifetime warranty with my wheel alignment and they take care of it no questions asked.You can set-up an appointment, but they talk walk-ins, too. Turnaround time is pretty fast even when they need to order a part. I own a 1989 Honda Civic, so they have to order a lot of parts for me. They let me bring in parts I get from pick/pulls or from eBay.I recommend them to all my friends cause regardless of how much you know cars, your gender or identity, they'll be friendly and knowledgeable.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Battery, Oil change
