Scott and his crew are great to work with. Really appreciate their support and service. Been taking my bikes to Acme for a few years now. Highly recommend.

Well so far pretty happy on the basic oil change service and inspection of what needs potential repair which I have to say was embarrassed of since It was my first motorcycle I've owned and should have thought about the regular maintenance if not saving up for repairs from wear and tear when time comes when using your motorcycle. Especially a Harley Davidson. Scott was upfront honest after diagnosing my motorcycle and gave me an estimate. Only disappointment on why not a perfect 5 stars was that he had mentioned 2 parts that he does not carry since it is not aftermarket nor does he carry propitiatory Harley Davidson parts to add to the grand total of how much I owe. I did follow up on his recommendation contacting Harley Davidson and he was right about those 2 specialty parts for my motorcycle was NOT expensive. I got $25 total for both parts. Since well for me not a season I would ride in the Autumn I am planning to go back and service my Motorcyle in the spring on estimate when the snow melts in late April or May since we tend to have winter temperatures in the Spring of Chicago's unpredictable weather. I do recommend to come here for your motorcycle needs. Do book an appointment on his website and do call him in regards to make and model since the website is not specific base for the cost of the oil change. Also have to put a $20 deposit down since he is by appointment and not a walk in serviceService: Oil change

Called the place for a tire replacement. The guy on the phone may know what the bike needed but he spoke to me as if I was stupid with an attitude. Definitely not doing business with these people. I know almost nothing about the riding world trying to learn so I may ask stupid questions for someone who has 40 years you would think they would help someone to better their knowledge but I guess not this shop. If I could have rated it any less I would definitely spreading the word to my riding friends that this shop ain t it.

I was getting ready for a last-minute 2K mile bike trip and realized the rear tire was not going to make it. I normally do my own work but did not have the time. I called around and looked online and no one could take care of me right away or did not have a tire I could use, except for Acme Cycle Chicago. I talked to the owner Scott Lunt and we discussed the tire options he had in stock and that if I wanted I could come over and they would take care of me right away. I got there and Scott had what we discussed on the phone and took my bike in right away. A nice waiting room, nice selection of old, new, and unique bikes around the shop. Scott was very professional, we talked about his getting into the bike shop business, riding, etc. The price was a little more than I would pay online but less than most of the other shops around. He had it in stock and on my bike the same day. Win-win. I will be going back if I need any other service I cannot take on or have time for.Background. I am an ASE Master Tech and the bike is a 2008 Kawasaki C14 with 50K miles on it and it still looks new.I had zero bike issues on my vacation. Thanks, Scott.Service: Tires

I asked pricing and was given a flat value. No hourly rate or estimated time. I very clearly stated I wanted to drop it off and pick it up by the end of the same day. I was told to bring it in Tuesday anytime, no other drop-off instructions. Front garage door was shut, so I went to park in the back instead of on the sidewalk. Found some people and started talking, another man interjected telling me to step back lol. Okay. Show him my bike and explain what it needs. Asks me to bring it to the front. Okay, ill park it on the sidewalk. Fill out the info they need inside. Double check I will be able to pick it up by the end of today (I need transportation to work tomorrow). Tells me no, it will take a few days. Now he, Scott, explains its normally $95 per hour and $135 per hour same day service. He acted ignorant about me clearly asking if this could be done the same day. Why would I surrender my bike for multiple days for a few hours of work? I'll just save my money and do the damn thing myself. Typical sneaky repair shop. Read the email yourself and ask if it was or was not clear. (Tuesday April 2, 2019)Update: I was absolutely polite the entire time even when I left and immediately did all I was asked. I asked when I could bring it in and get it back the same day, you said Tuesday. These guys think we are idiots and treat their customers as such. Could have been straight with me from the beginning. I doubt you can be until the end either. And here you are being dishonest about my review to dismiss it. Shameful.

Highly recommend. Signed up online for an appointment and there were plenty of open spots. Scott, who I believe is the owner who did my service was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and listened to all of my concerns. After the oil change /brake service and initial inspection, he explained to me what parts/fluids will need to be replaced in the future and how long I could realistically go without having them done, but I never felt forced or coerced into getting those service done from him- he even allayed some of the concerns I had about doing some of that work myself.Further, he took the time to listen to other concerns I had about the bike. Anytime I'd have a weird smell, sound, or feel from the bike I'd go down a Google rabbit hole and be concerned that my bike was going to explode once I hit 55 on the Dan Ryan unless I had the bike completely rebuilt once a month only on a cloudless night with a full moon. I felt a lot better after having him explain why some of those smells/sounds/feels happen and that my bike is safe and in good condition.I'll be coming back here for sure. My only recommendation is to make sure you set up an appointment online/phone - the shop is small and I can imagine, especially in the middle of riding season, that this place gets super busy.Services: Brake service & repair, Oil change

Top quality service, very quick, and nicely priced compared to other independent shops. Tire in quickly and installed quickly. Highly recommended, my new local shop.

Fair prices for high-quality work. Scott seems extremely knowledgeable about bikes and responded same-day (or instantly) to my communications. For anyone making an appointment, the website form seems like the best way to get in touch.Services: Tires, Brake service & repairServices: Tires, Brake service & repair

I have only one word to say about their customer service... "Condescending."Prices are a little on the high side, but if you could do the work yourself, you probably wouldn't be taking your bike here. I can honestly say that the work I asked them to do was done well and quickly. So there are no complaints there. It would be a much better customer experience if the guy behind the counter could learn how to treat customers with respect. I might even feel good about paying their high prices. As it is, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.Service: Tires

Went here to get tires put on for my Yamaha r1 and they were very communicative and good on time. Roy was also great at answering a few questions I had about general bike maintenance. I've had issues with other mechanic workshops who were not very reliable in terms of communication and time management. If I ever need any other work I will be a happy returning customer. Highly recommend.

Had to get my new tires installed, it was so last minute since they arrived extremely late(bought elsewhere not from them)...Acme Cycle had no problem getting me last minute in the last hour of shop business hours as I waited (which wasn't long). With my busy schedule its good to find a place able to get you in to assist when you have free time. They are super friendly and knowledgeable. Def coming back here to get a tune up once the time comes!!

I dropped my bike off on Tuesday and hoped to get it by Friday and it was finished Thursday. The bill was considerably less than anticipated. I have a 2015 Ninja 1000 and was a little hesitant to bring it to a neighborhood shop seeing that I usually see older bikes being worked on in places like this. But I read all the good reviews and definitely don't regret trusting these guys with my bike. They did outstanding work and I highly recommend them! They're very professional, knowledgeable and competent.

Owner or employee who answers the phone has a very nasty attitude as if he hates his jobAsk a very simple question if i was told my motorcycle blew will it still run? Was told get on the ground and stick my finger in the hole.. then I asked after i stick my finger in the hole then what? He proceeds to say well i tried to help you and kept going with a very rude attitude. I understand this is not an easy business but Owner really needs to work on people skills and communication saying I yelled at you sounds delusional im a very calm person.

Been taking my Triumph there for 5+ years now. Scott and his team are always helpful, knowledgeable and quick with their service. I never feel like they're selling me more than I need or gouging which I've experienced with their competitors. Highly recommend Acme.

After having bad experiences in the past it was refreshing to find that Acme has been doing good, honest and quality work. Ive been going there for regular maintenance and various other issues for a few seasons now and they have always been great. Scott specifically was extremely helpful, knowledgable and friendly with great communication. If you're shopping for a repair shop, do yourself a favor and make an appointment. My business will be staying here. Bike: Honda Shadow '06. Thanks guys.

No real review but an observation. Called to ask about services & the respondent was pretty dismissive & short. Apparently they don't do Japanese bikes & don't like any questions about fixing...motorcycles. Short but dismissive call, convinced me it was better that no coyotes will be getting my money.

Man this place is awesome! needed my rear tire changed on my 2016 Indian Scout and the very knowledgeable nice asian guy in the front and mechanics stood a bit past closing time to get it done. Was in and out in about 30 min. Even replaced a license plate bolt that had fallen and didn't charge me. Really recommend this place. Very reasonable prices!

Found my shop! Called to get an oil change and had a friendly voice let me know what times could work. Picked one and showed up on time to get it taken care of. Didn't take long at all and they've got manuals for all bikes so they just looked up what type it needed and I was good to go!Also, anyone working in the shop looked like they knew their stuff and weren't thinking of something else while they were there. I've been to dealerships where I'm not convinced the guys on the floor really wanted to be there. These guys - well somehow just looked experienced and engaged. Will definitely be going back when I need any work done.

I called to get a quote/ estimate and spoke to some guy named Scott super unprofessional, he suggested I got to their website to get a quote, I get a response saying he has to do a diagnostic check before doing anything and that s $100. Dollars. So no estimate on what I need. What s the purpose of clicking on getting a quote if you re not gonna give an estimate? Scott is not professional at all! Scott is super rude! I don t recommend this place at all! I had to give it 1 star because it won t let you give zero stars!!

I've used acme twice now. Both times have been exemplary. The first was tuning up my bike when I first got it. They explained to me everything I was able to have done to it and why it was beneficial to the maintenance of the bike. The second time was just today when I needed a clutch cable changed. Each time they have been lovely and polite. Would 100% recommend

After having an appointment for a tire change cancelled elsewhere, Acme fit me in within a week (could have been sooner but for my schedule), came in under the quote Scott gave me, and they re not kidding about fixing small things while your bike s on the lift (thanks for the kickstand tweak). You guys were awesome - I ll be back. Bike: 2009 Suzuki M50.Service: Tires

The guys at Acme were all incredibly nice, helpful and caring. I called the day before about a nail in a tire and they had a space available the next day. They fixed it pretty quickly and showed me the culprit. As a female I get nervous going into new shops but these guys were all very great. I'll be coming back for sure.

I've brought my bike(s) to this spot maybe 4 or 5 times, and just dropped her off today. I just have to say, Scott and Jay are phenomenal at making you feel welcomed, remembered, and valued every time you return, even after months of absence. Scott is super accessible via email and text and is a terrific communicator. Even with all the challenges and uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am totally comfortable trusting the guys at ACME with my Yamaha Bolt R-Spec. Thank you, ACME!

I bring (tow) my motorcycle to change clutch cable, and i asked for price and how long it gonna take to replace. They said about two weeks to get clutch cable and total price with his parts will be around $200.I called next day and i asked for price if i bring my clutch cable in 2-3 days and they said $225 with my parts and they can change same day when i bring parts. They changed same day with my parts, and i think its overpriced for no more then one hour labor. So only for labor and clutch cable replacement price of $225 is too high. I called others shop and they said 70-80 bucks for labor...
