Reserved the deluxe cabin a few months back, and completed my stay today. it was clean and cozy. They have complimentary coffee in their main office, but if you want coffee first thing make sure to bring your own coffee maker. All the staff were friendly from the moment we pulled in. When we needed something, the staff were prompt, quick and most importantly - always friendly. There was a propane grill, a nice fire pit, with a swing nearby and also a swing on the front porch. Very great service and awesome, helpful staff. The campground was quiet and peaceful. I think everyone should come here if they can.Rooms: It was clean and cozyNearby activities: Restaurants, Kankakee River state park, shopping in nearby KankakeeSafety: It s a safe, quiet area surrounded by farmland

Good KOA to stay at! It was very well maintained and clean. Didn t use the pool but it looked nice. I love having a little dog park so the dogs can get some energy out and potty without being attached to a leash. Lots of people out enjoying their campfires in the evening, but overall it was quiet in the evenings. It also had a playground for kids that looked good.

The host was super friendly and welcoming. The pool looked great. The sites, however, are super close. Only our picnic table fit between our camper and neighbors. The fire pit was at the point of the site. You would not be able to light a fire any where else, which meant you had no privacy sitting near the road. Most of the sites looked close, but perhaps ours was worse. The site I d rate a 2 but the hostess a 5.

From the moment we arrived we were extremely impressed! This is the first Campground that we were given a personal escort to our spot. The staff were all super friendly & helpful and they even offer free delivery to your campsite. The campground was very clean (including the pool & bathrooms) and everyone made you feel right at home. It was also SUPER quiet - HUGE bonus! We'll definitely be back!

This was our 1st time tent camping with 5 kids ages 3-14 and we had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and clean facilities and the store has reasonable prices. The kids loved the pool and the playground and of course the wagon ride.

We spent a couple of nights at this well run KOA and enjoyed our visit.When we pulled in, an employee greeted us and escorted us directly to our site. We didn't even need to go inside. This has never happened to us at any RV park before!.Our spot was clean, level, had good water pressure and good voltage at the power pedestal. There are trees in some sites, but we had a good view of the sky for using our Starlink system.We used the laundry in the main building. All three of the machines were clean and operating properly.We'd stay here again.P.S. If you have pups, splurge on them and get the site with the "Paws Pen". It's huge and your doggos will love you for it.

Located a few miles from the freeway, this quiet campground provided a good place for us to stay in our 30' motorhome while we visited Chicago and Indiana Dunes -- each about an hour away. Clean and well maintained, the roads are dirt/gravel and the sites gravel. Our site was in a newer area well-away from the office and amenities -- a five minute walk. Staff was friendly enough. The site was reasonably level and not too close to our neighbors. It's only about 3 miles or so to Kankakee and a Walmart (cheaper gas than Love's).

A great location surrounded by trees. Low to no noise from roads or airport. Met outside office, already checked in, escorted to site. Level concrete slab. Nice!!!!!

Clean and cozy cabin. We stayed in the 2 queen bedroom unit with tons of outdoor space. Had a great time! Remember to bring your own kitchen items, including coffee maker, as the kitchens are not stocked. Big Weber grill made it really easy to cook out and nice patio table and chairs on a large concrete slab for dining. Love the swing by the large fire pit and big shady trees. Will stay again at this friendly campground!

Fantastic experience! Everyone working here is so nice and knowledgeable. Rae was so pleasant during pre-stay phone conversations and then checked us in. She is an asset to your business! The kids loved the Halloween activities; you guys knocked it out of the park! Clean restrooms with wonderful hot showers, really nice playground very clean park. Loved that it was in a rural area but only 5 miles from town.

We arrived late one evening while passing through and needed a place to stay. We were able to pull into an open site and check in the next day. Despite us staying a day and a half, they only charged us for one night. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Erin at the front desk was incredibly helpful and generous. I would recommend this campground 10/10.

Loved it here! Quiet (even 1st thing in the morning!!). Staff is nice and accomodating. Dog park area is a great size (our 80# lab thanks you). Had a super fun time in the game room-air hockey, pool, old arcade games, claw machine, table shuffleboard and an awesome jukebox. Enjoyed our stay- just we needed to recharge!

Just an amazing campground. There spots are very level and well maintained. The fenced in dog park was a plus. It was also unique seeing dog camp sites that provide the person renting that site to have their yard area fenced in for their pets. The employees were all very nice and super helpful. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is because their pool needs to be updated with paint peeling at the bottom and chipped concrete all around the pool's sidewalk areas.

Kankakee South KOA was staffed by very friendly and helpful people. It s generally a good but older campground. Unfortunately, it s on very, very sandy ground that leads to literally hundreds of ant mounds. These little insects constantly found their way into our RV. If you camp here, bring pesticide.

Positive: (5/5 Star Rating)This Memorial Day Weekend (2023) was our 2nd visit to our local Kankakee South KOA Holiday and it was wonderful (Lot 44 - Pull Through - Full Hookups - 30amp). Absolutely wonderful customer service, great sites, employees always wave and smile.The new pool renovation was nicely done and the kids seemed to enjoy it.KOA WiFi was good for your IPads, phones, and computers but the WiFi for our Roku tv streaming was not the best - the park was packed so I wont hold that against the park.AT&T Cell service you will only get 1 bar but it does work. Again, your phone will be able to use the KOA WiFi.RV sites were very level and clean.Ton of activities for kids and adults (hay ride, scavenger hunt, snow cones, etc)Very pet friendly with a dog park area.Negative: (4/5 Star Rating)Be prepared on Fridays - Kankakee Speedway has racing every Friday night and you will hear it. It is about 1 mile away from the campground. We don't mind its kind of a white noise for us.If you are tent camping you will not have much shade but you will have a ton of space to utilize - a lot!We love this campground - we made reservations for Labor Day Weekend (2023) and Memorial Day Weekend (2024)

A nice quite, well kept campground. No golf carts flying around with radios blaring. Pleasant and relaxing. Staff will deliver ice or firewood right to your site with just a text message request = convenience. Owners and staff are extremely friendly and try to ensure their guests have a great stay!

Our truck broke down and we got stuck. We were supposed to spend 1 night and ended up there for 10 days.The staff was amazing. Fourth of July weekend and they found a space for us and moved us to the New spot,Staff was very friendly and helpful.Clean restrooms and showers. Small pool, but well kept. Laundry facilities reasonably priced and clean. Activities at the game room and small children's play area.

We had a great time at this KOA. The staff was very friendly and responsive. We happened to be there over a weekend in October where they had Halloween events. Our kids are grown but we enjoyed watching all the kids dressed up and a lot of camp sites were decorated for a contest. The camp WiFi was great and a ton of local channels. We definitely will go back.

We do not live far away from here and do visit every year to just get away and make sure the travel trailer is working properly before going on a longer trip. The campground is kept clean and always being updated as needed. The staff is great and very attentive to our needs. From the time we checked-in through the entire stay we felt the pride and caring nurture they take in their guests and themselves. We woke up and realized we had no hot water because we ran out of propane. As they were driving by collecting trash, I inquired about getting propane and they took both our tanks and had them filled then returned back to our site and helped get them back in place.Scott and Daine Miller

This place is great. Pretty diverse group of campers here. Me and my family being interracial are used to being outsiders at sites. However we were pretty surprised that this location was as nice and the patrons were just as kind to add. There is power and water on site. As well as a pool and park for children there are nice areas for adults. Great spot

I can't say enough about how great of a camping experience we had here! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Not only are the sites and facilities clean and well kept, the concierge type service that is provided here really makes for a relaxing time. We were able to text the staff for things like ice and firewood and in no time they'd send it over. It was quiet and our spot specifically had a nice big tree that helped with afternoon sun. Thank you to the amazing team for making our escape from the city so easy and comfortable.

The owners here maintain the property very nicely, they're accommodating, and a nice layout. Very attentive and appreciate the contact less check in and being able to text for essentials like firewood and etc... was very convenient. They were truly wonderful. The only thing is I wish that the guests were a little more strict with themselves for masks when in the bathroom. Even still people were very nice. Definitely would come back to this location. Oh and their bathrooms are nice as well.

The staff in the office was nice and the kids enjoyed the game room and playground. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise one of the nights we stayed, sounded like a a bunch of teens racing cars. If this happens when you stay, contact the office. They want their guests to enjoy the stay. 5 stars for the management response to the noise!

Awesome staff. Very nice people to talk to. Very quick service. Bathrooms always clean. Pool was clean. Scavenger hunt for the kids was fun. Can't say enough about the staff, they were awesome. Definitely recommend.
