When you go to Pilsons, ask for RANDY! Randy was so helpful, considerate, and patient with us. He will put you in the perfect car for you and your needs. We went back and forth on two different vehicles and not once did we feel pressured into a decision. Thank you again Randy for making this experience well thought out and pai

Great experience all the way around. Got a new Jeep Grand Cherokee from the dealer in Charleston, and they also coordinated with their store in Mattoon to get the one we wanted to test drive. Good teamwork. Would buy there again.

I went in looking at a specific vehicle and it didn t work out due to my financial situation, so the salesman Mike quickly found another of the same vehicle that had more features but just a bit more mileage which put it in my price range. The financing manager even helped out on my trade in to make the deal work for me. Would recommend!

These guys are awesome. From the moment we stepped in the door, they were polite and courteous. Absolutely no pressure, and they got us into what we wanted at a price point we were comfortable with. Big shout out to the entire staff here, they made us with our 3 kids feel very welcome. Special shout out to Mike Lauter, and Brandon Ball, you guys rock!

The service department at Pilson Auto Center recently repaired my "classic" 1978 Ford van. They did a very professional job of diagnosing and repairing several issues on the vehicle. They were courteous and made me feel like my business was important to them.

I had purchased all 6 of my previous vehicles at the same place until another local dealer came in and purchased their place. I took a chance with Pilson's and I have no regrets! Jeff is the best salesman with customer service that is unmatched. The service center employees are just as great. They will take great care of you and you can trust them. Go to Pilson's and ask for Jeff!

I had worked with Ben Slater in the past and so when it came time to trade-in I knew that I wanted to go back to him! I told him right up front what needed to happen and he worked hard to get me into the vehicle that I wanted and was able to afford! He is funny, personable and a hard worker!! I would send anyone to him!! I am so happy with my 2017 Dodge Journey!!

My first buying experience was pretty good. The salesperson I had really tried to work with me and my low credit score. Second buying experience there, was sub-par at best. However the very worst experience I've had is with the service department.First when we bought our jeep they did not meet the timeline for the cleaning and inspection of our vehicle. Which hey, I can understand people get behind.Second experience, I took my jeep in for an oil change and for my vehicle to be checked closely because prior the day before, my jeep broke down and I couldn't remove my keys from the ignition. I told the service rep that, and also mentioned that I thought the battery should be checked as the source of my trouble. I mentioned too that my wiper blades needed replaced since they were falling apart. I asked for a loaner while they worked on my vehicle as I had errands to run. I asked them to PLEASE call me when my vehicle was finished. Two hours later I call the service dept and my vehicle isn't done. I ask again to please be called as soon as my vehicle is done, they assure me they will do so. It's getting late in the afternoon and I have to pick up my son back home, which is a 30 min drive and I really don't want to drive home and back up to Mattoon again to get my vehicle. So another hour passes, I call, they say my vehicle isn't quite ready, but should be done in about an hour, the women sounded slightly annoyed, I assumed this was because it was my 2nd time calling. I was again assured I'd be called as soon as my vehicle was finished. Eventually I had to go and get my son, I called again once I was home, I reached the operator who said the shop was closed. I was not called at all when my vehicle was finished. Furthermore, they did not find the cause for why my vehicle broke down, my wipers were not changed... all that time was for an oil change. My vehicle broke down once again after being serviced and it didn't take a genius to realize it was the battery. When my boyfriend went to retrieve our vehicle the following day, there was no one there who could make change to pay for this oil change, they told us to call on Monday to make a payment. Honestly though, for that kind of service the oil change should be on the house.

I called their dealership to look at a 2012 GMC Acadia. After three days and five phone calls, I was finally able to make it to Charleston to check it out. The woman that I had been speaking with had assured me that they would have the vehicle in Charleston because it would be closer to Paris. When I arrived, there seemed to be some confusion as to the location of the Acadia. As it turned out, it was sent out as a loaner. Luckily, Ben Slater realized that they had just gotten a 2008 Acadia. It wasn't cleaned up and ready for sale, but I test drove it. The 2008 had fewer miles and was cheaper. I ended up buying the 08 and it's been good so far. We had a little issue with the detailing, but Ben sent it out to a detail shop that had the necessary equipment to remove the tree sap from the paint. All in all, it was a good experience. I wouldn't hesitant to buy from Ben again.

This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Pilson Auto Center in Charleston. Our salesman was Travis Stanfield. What a great young man. He helped us find what we wanted in the price range we were looking for. Chris Whitley helped us with financing as it worked to exactly what we needed. Thanks Guys!!

I felt they were very honest about the car, its features and the past service record. They were willing to drive the car I wanted to buy from their lot in Mattoon to Charleston so I could come pick it up (I'm a graduate student so I need it to drive around to internship sites and stuff). Would recommend them to the other students in my program who are also looking for a used car.

Bought my 18 ram 1500 from there. Alex Penn. Is one of the best salesman out there. Was really quick and painless. Received a reasonable offer on my trade. Will go back for another vehicle in the future.

Randy McDonald took care of me when I was looking for an older used car with low miles. He let me test drive as many cars as I needed, and when I got behind the wheel of a 2006 Chrysler 300C my search was over. He even accepted my 1995 Lincoln Town car as a trade. There was a small rust bubble on the body of the car and Randy had this fixed. The floor mats were missing and Randy ordered new mats for me. The service department has been great, too! I would purchase from this dealership again.

Very friendly staff. Made the process of buying 2 vehicles very pleasant and smooth going. Colton was our dealer and he is very knowledgable, super friendly and made car shopping/buying a very pleasant experience. Being a single female shopper, I would highly recommend Pilsons Automotive to any car buying customer.

Everyone at Pilson is amazing; I felt like every single person on the team was committed to getting my into my truck. I fell in love with it and, thanks to the associates at Pilson getting everything done so quickly and easily, I was on the road within hours. Absolutely THE BEST SERVICE I've ever had anywhere!!!

Before moving to Charleston, I rarely used dealerships for service due to higher costs and the thought that they would try to convince owners to make unnecessary repairs. Pilson's is not that way. Phil and Clayton are great to work with and have been cost competitive on all repairs, including tires, compared to local businesses. They always have a driver available to take me to and from work, even for something as simple as an oil change. They always work to accommodate my schedule and in 5+ years, I have never had a bad experience with service of both Ford and import vehicles (Volvo, Honda, BMW). I also appreciate that they regularly support community activities such as blood drives and are big supporters of EIU.

After sending my car back for the 5th time 1 of the 3 issues I had been having since February is fixed. The other 2 are still a problem and again when I call about it I get silence. Now, due to the electrical problem that has been an issue since February, has become so bad that I have a $12458.78 paperweight sitting in my driveway. I have left messages and no call backs. I know they know my number. God knows I have called enough times. I am seeing my attorney Friday to see what can be done.

Transmission is going out on my car and they keep telling me nothing is wrong with it just trying to prolong it for 10k more miles so the warranty expires. Would never recommend these crooks. Have had nothing but problems since I bought the car 2 years ago. Take your money and go somewhere else

Needed some small odd fasteners for my car. Dustin in parts took the time to help me find what I needed. Pricing was about what I found online, but getting the parts through them I didn't have to pay shipping! Great customer service!
