If I could give it a 0 I would. Horrible service got some beat up tires air was leaking a day prior. The manager is so disrespectful and we were listening to him say not to do this and that to this other persons car but yet they payed for the service. They cracked my rims so now I had to spend 1000 for new srt rims smh

Broken hitch bringing a new trailer home caused us some real concern. Checked in with Ron Lee to see about a repair. He went above and beyond to help get the trailer home and secure service for the truck. Best customer serviceexperience ever! Thank you so much.

I had gotten a quote from another shop in town to get my car's AC fixed for $900, listing a bunch of pretty uncommon problems that frankly I didn't think were there. So I took it to Neal for a second opinion and he was able to fix it the same morning for just over $100 including parts. Kind and professional throughout, too. Definitely recommend!

Ronald Lee was so helpful, professional and friendly. Our tire blew and we ended up buying 4 new ones. This area was very remote so we were thankful that Neal Tire and Auto Service had tires in stock for our low profile Lexus. He took such good care of us and got us on the road immediately.

What an awesome experience! I happened to be traveling through Charleston on business when I got a message light that my engine was low on oil. Out of happenstance I found this shop and they fit me right into their work schedule. I waited very little for them to start working on my car, and they apologized for the delay on top of that. Upon learning the cause of the problem (the oil plug was over torqued and oil had been leaking for months) they topped off the oil (over a quart of synthetic motor oil) and cleaned the oil that had sprayed all over the under body of my car. But it didn t stop there. After getting my car all zipped up and ready to go, the owner Melvin told me to just have a nice day. I asked him about the invoice for the work and oil they replaced and his answer was you ve had enough trouble with what the other shop did to your car, I m not going to add to it by charging you more . I was at a loss for words, not only for the unbelievable generosity and empathy that he displayed, but because of his demeanor when he said it - what a kind and descent guy! I insisted again and he refused to take my money.I m 42 and I ve been to almost every corner of our country. Never once have I encountered such a professional, friendly, and considerate team of folks. Everyone in the shop was genuinely concerned and provided me with assistance in some form or fashion. What really gets me is that he didn t know if I was a local or just passing through, and yet he treated me better than family. There s hope for the world when someone looks beyond just doing business, and dispatches you all fixed up with a handshake and a smile. Thank you guys!!!

Great work with the service. I did think it was fairly unprofessional of the manager to chew some old guy out, loudly, and cursed at him, in front of many customers for simply asking a question about some lug nuts. If it was none of the guys business, the manager didn't have to make sure everyone in the store knew that it was none of his business. Very unprofessional if you ask me. He could have taken him into the office or in the back where no customers are allowed and talked to him about it instead of yelling at the guy.

I have been bringing my lawnmower tires to Neal for years, and more recently have purchased car tires for both my husband s car and my own.The experience we have had is unmatched for courtesy, convenience and price. I made an appointment for 8:30 to have my radiator flushed at the Charleston store. I was told it would take about 2 hours. After about 3.5 hours it was finally done. I was driving north on 33rd Street, Mattoon when my car alarm went off and issued a loud command to shut off the car immediately which I did. I called Neal Tire and to his credit, the manager showed up quickly and determined that the hose had been tightened but the thermostat coupler was brittle and the tightening crushed it. A tow truck had to be called and I finally got my vehicle back around 6:30. I asked them to deliver it to me north of Mattoon. The manager said there was no charge. Of course there was no charge because it was THEIR fault. I asked that they adjust the charge for the radiator flush but was told that wouldn't happen. My entire day was shot because of their shoddy workmanship. The manager was patting himself on the back for comping the additional work, but none of that would have happened if they had done the flush correctly. I felt they should have done more to compensate me for my time and in the interest of good will and positive word of mouth.

Amazing shop. Honesty and Integrity. Melvin and Henry worked late on a Saturday to assist my son with an alternator and ensure he got back on the road safely. I tried to buy them lunch but all they said was we just appreciate your business. I wish I lived closer to this shop. AMAZING PEOPLE. I was able to make same day appointment for a tire to be patched but I needed a new tire instead due to hole in the side wall. They were able to replace my tire and had me back on the road within an hour. This was my first visit to this location but it definitely won't be my last. I would recommend to my friends and family!!!

These guys consistently do an incredible job and they have an amazing team. Car repair businesses can sometimes feel as if they are looking out for their own best interest...that couldn't be further from the case here. Special shout out to Matt...that guy knows customer service, he is phenomenal!

Dropped my car off 30 mins after opening for a simple fix. Was under the assumption it would be done the day of, not being told otherwise. Had no call by an hour before close, so WE called just to be told they already looked at it and it wouldn t be done until the next day. Midway today, I call to see when it will be done just to be put on hold for 10 minutes and told I ll get a call back when they get ahold of the mechanic. An hour passes, no call, so I call AGAIN. Just to be told that the mechanic for my car is working on something else (instead of my car that s been there since yesterday open). That car won t be done until this evening so I MIGHT be able to pick it up tomorrow. RIDICULOUS. NO COMMUNICATION, and the SLOWEST shop in town. Will NEVER be back.

My family has been doing business with Neal Tire for about a decade now. Great service and friendly representatives. They are often familiar with specific problems unique to certain year/models that other servicers often take more time in diagnosing. Would highly recommend.

We purchased a "new to us" used vehicle a week ago and had new tires put on by the dealerships service department on 1/9/20. We were told the tires were balanced and aligned. On 1/10/20 we traveled 3 1/2 hours to Charleston, IL to visit family. Once we got on the interstate and got the vehicle to 70 mph the car began to vibrate to the point it was unbearable. On 1/11/20 I called Neal Tire and asked if they could squeeze me in since we were out of town and they said come on up. They were able to squeeze us in and checked the balance on the tires and found over a lb of lead weights on our tires. They were able to properly balance our new tires and our vehicle now drives like a dream. So grateful for great small town service. I grew up in central Illinois and have always used Neal Tire when I had an issue and will continue to use them in the future. Thanks again for helping us out on such short notice.

Friendly staff who will be straight forward with you. I have taken my car's here for oil changes and repairs and have never been overcharged or had them tell me there was more work needed then what I brought it in for. I have even brought it my own parts for the vehicles and they where happy to use them. Great honest and affordable car repair.

The previous reviews speak for the business. This a tire shop without all of the hassle of new tire shops. Direct about their pricing and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I have taken ATV/Mower tires to this place for years and they are the cheapest around with quick turnaround.

Very important for people to know that they are very willing to go the extra mile to work with their customers...they made a couple dents with the lift on our 2018 Camry...they contacted their cooperate office and they approved the repair...verypleased with their quick response

I was leaving out of town on a 500 mile trip, and woke up the day before with a nail in my back tire. I ended up calling and getting in the same day. I just went ahead and got two new ones on the back and had the one rotated up to the front, and one tire in the front tossed out. I paid 356$ after an alignment and balance that I thought was included (guess not). Right as soon as I drove it off the lot I heard knocking and grinding. The grinding made me think it was my roder (no big deal I was just gonna get it fixed here when I returned) turns out after almost having my tire blow out on the highway (front tire) my wheelbearing was INCREDIBLY bad. The shop I took it to in the town I was visiting said there was NO WAY a car mechanic wouldn t have been able to see how bad it was, just by how he could wiggle the wheel back and forth he told me I was blessed nothing happened. Turned out to be another 200$, and 200$ I m GLAD I didn t spend here. I will not ever be returning. Of course when I called I got the run around wheel bearings just go out is what I got for a response. Which is fine but a WARNING would ve been nice. My car didn t make the noises before I brought it in, but whatever. Not to mention, I overheard 1 customer in the 6 hours I was waiting share how excited they were about getting 4 new tires AND installed for 400$. If that s the case I was I incredibly cheated. ALSO not to mention, quoted 150$ on their website AFTER I had my work done cause I was curious. I cannot stress enough, how incredibly stereotyped I felt. Don t go here if you re black or a female. That s all I can chalk it up to.

They were awesome. My daughters car started leaking oil on a saturday & most shops were closed. I stopped by without an appointment an hour before they closed & they were busy but they were able to identify the leak, refill it with oil, & add a dye so they could tell if it continued to leak & they hardly charged me anything. I would highly recommend them.

Mel, Ron and Matt are always professional and courteous. They are always ready to solve my problems. Went traveling and have a problem, they are willing to take time to answer my questions and usually solve my situation. Their prices for products and services are competitive.

The Manager made me feel like I was being dishonest and I am not a dishonest person. I think I would think twice about having service done there because of the customer service. I understand he is running a business and he has people trying to gyp him but he needs to try to work on giving people the benefit of the doubt and not putting them on the hot seat. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." would be a better approach.

My wife had to drive to Green Bay WI from Charleston IL unexpectedly. She needed to take my car which needed 3 new tires and an oil change. I was on my way home from work at 4:30 when I called Neil Tire who closes at 5:00 and they said no problem. They had it done before 5 and for a very reasonable price. I will never go anywhere else for my automotive needs.

Excellent service and they explained the repairs and did what needed to be done. Glad to know there is a quality tire and brake shop in town and the pricing was fair. I will be back for my next set of quality tires.

I went in about 1030 this morning to get a new set of tires on my car . I picked my car up at 1145 and my car was ready for the road . The Neal Tire crew are all courteous and got the job done ! Thank you Neal Tire !! I'm a happy customer !!

Lack of accountability and responsibility. Their negligence caused my engine to blow. No one wanted to accept responsibility and they said it was my fault. Went for an oil change, left with no oil, no filter, or no oil cover. Nice manager but terrible workers, haven't been back since the incident and I don't intend on ever going back.
