My car needed a quick fix for an inspection. They squeezed me in their numerous appointments, fixed it, and I was on my way to the inspection in no time. I'd recommend it to everyone. Great place!

I took my son s 2010 Honda with 150 k mi in for an overhaul. It s like new again and saved a ton on buying another car! I ve known the owner since grade school and he has always possessed integrity and intelligence.

One of our sons came home on leave. While he was home, he wanted to upgrade vehicles. We found one, and Johnson's conducted a pre purchase inspection, complete with a 6 page report. They checked out everything. We did not purchase that vehicle due to the repairs needed. We purchased another vehicle and had Johnson's inspect it, service, and make the few maintenance issues we needed to address. Appreciate their ability to work us in, get repairs done timely, and know that they were done right.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heat for your kindness. I had a flat on I-70 on a rainy Friday night on my way to St Louis and my friend called your shop and you just so happened to have my size tires in stock. It was close to closing time but you fit me in to get me back on the road to get me to my destination.Thank you for taking the time to put 2 new tires on my car and get me back on my way! You gentlemen made a stressful situation a lot less stressful and I am thankful for you all! I have been singing your praises all weekend long! Keep up the great customer service gentlemen! Thank you again!!!!

I ve been going to Johnson s Auto well over 10 years now and would recommend them to anyone! While traveling, my car overheated and smoke billowed from under the hood. After being towed to the shop, they promptly found the problem and fixed it - a gash in the radiator hose. Thirty years and five cars later and Dave has serviced our vehicles without complaint! Dave serviced our Lincoln for an oil change last week and they provided pick-up service. An hour turnaround time is amazing in this day. But over the years Dave has been there for us which we appreciate. Thank you and your team Dave! You can get same day repairs if parts in stock. It s very easy to get an appointment. JAS will work around your schedule and give you an appointment time that benefits You the Consumer. Terrible service was told I needed a new transmission when the only problem was the internal speed sensor !!!Even told them what part I needed and there response was "that there's no such thing as a connector plate on my car" went to central transmission got the speed sensor fixed for 1200 and I was told from here that I needed to pay like 2000 got denied oil change because they said there was no point of wasting my money. Wouldn't recommend.

I usually get my oil changed here and they have decent prices. However, I don't think I will be coming back. I was sitting in the waiting room when an international student came in asking to have his car looked at. Right off the bat two of the employees walked away and refused to listen/serve him. Only the woman working the front took the time to talk to him. As soon as he left the other employees started talking about "those types of people" and saying ignorant things and reiterating stereotypes. First of all, I've known David for a number of decades, and he's an honest and honorable man. I had AC issues, and had asked him to change the compressor. Not only was that not necessary, he traced the problem to a faulty electrical issue, and fixed it much cheaper than it would have been. He did find some other issues that I did not know about, and resolved them as well. He even changed my wiper blades, something I knew I needed, but left off my list. Overall, Johnson's Automotive provides quality professional service, and he treats all of his customers like lifelong friends.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, A/C installation & repair

So I had some starter issues with my car. Crankshaft and camshaft sensor. They ran a diagnosis and told me that these were my only issues. After paying them $1,000+ to fix these issues I get my car back and there are a bunch of new issues with my car. I had brand new brakes and now the brakes are bad, the AC worked perfect and now I have AC issues, and I also can t accelerate past 40 mph without my car shaking uncontrollably! All issues that I didn t have before I took my vehicle to this shop. I was told that the first two issues hid the long list of other things that were wrong, which is complete BS! They then tried to charge me another $1,000+ to fix these new issues. This place basically tried to rob me! Do not recommend.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Johnson's was fantastic. My car overheated when I was on my way back to school and the reason I decided to go to Johnson's was because of all of the great reviews I read online. I called Johnson's at 9:30 am to see if they could take a look at what was wrong and by 11 am they had checked out my car, figured out what was wrong, and called me with a plan of action. I decided to have everything fixed and by 3:30 pm that day my car was ready to be picked up in the shop. Customer service was great. All employees were easy to talk to on the phone. Jody is fantastic and drove me to my apartment after I had dropped my car off and immediately picked me up from my apartment to take me to the shop when my car was ready. Overall, I had a great experience at Johnson's Automotive Service. Everything went smoothly and my car is running better than ever. Thank you!

I brought in my truck for transmission work know since the truck did not have reverse that it needed a new or rebuilt trans. It is a truck with 114k.I brought the truck in early Monday morning and received it with a new (used with 65k) trans on Wednesday. They did quick work and I was able to drive it back to Chicago the 3 hours with no issues. The new trans is quieter and I think i am getting better gas mileage. I even got to chat with the owner for a few. He is very knowledgeable and patient with the customers on explanations and easy to talk to.Usually, I do my own vehicle work but couldnt this time. I am happy with the results and the shop I choose since I am not from around Charleston. The reviews says it all.Thank you,Corey

I've been converted. These guys are great. Dave is honest and a good man. I was looking for new tires on my 98 Accord. Their prices beat anyone in town. Very happy with the transaction.

My car had starting issues and paid a lot of money for them to fix it only to still have the same starting issues when I picked it up. I will be going to other local shop in town. Not coming back here again.

I had to get my ac blower fixed in my Acura. Most places wouldn t even look at it since it was an Acura. They fixed it and did it much cheaper than other places in neighboring cities. I ve also had tires patched by them. They ve always done a great job.

Johnson s has taken care of my vehicles back to the 70s. I rely on them to keep me safe on the road. They have treated me very well over the years. I m so glad they are available in our community.

Johnson s Automotive has been working on our vehicles for several years. The reason they continue to do so is because they do exceptional work, they get it fixed right the 1st time and the staff is very courteous and professional. To stay in business and be competitive as long as Johnson s has speaks volumes. Almost forgot, David saved my mother in the neighborhood of $600-800 on a mis-diagnosis by another shop. I told her to take it to Johnson s and get a 2nd diag. done, because I knew the crew there would get it right and they did. Guess where she gets her car serviced now? Honest folks at Johnson s!

Sometimes I get sticker shock but I really can t complain because I have trust in JAS to make sure my car is in top notch working condition. For that, the price is always well worth it. Not only do I recommend them, I brag about them.

Went in for a regular oil change for my 2001 Volvo S60, since it was due, and I didn't have the environment to perform it myself this time. The service was done in a reasonable amount of time, and the staff was friendly, and honest!

Service was quick, customer service was great, and they were affordable on my "poor college student" budget. I called early in the morning, and my car was ready on the same day. Great stuff.

My daughter is a student at EIU. Her car broke down and had to be towed. Johnsons was quick ,efficient , and so friendly. The had her car fixed right away, and the right way. They went above and beyond to help her. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants things done the right way.

Their service doesn't match their prices. You would think such a good auto repair shop would be extremely expensive, but it's actually better priced then Inyarts which charges you double what any normal repair shop would cost!I love this place, and recommend them to anyone. My car is driving smooth!
