We stopped for 1 night and were greeted by the very helpful and friendly owner. Nice quiet place. Far enough from the interstate to be quiet but still close enough for easy access.I did get to see the swans from a distance but didn't want to get too close and disturb them. Especially with our dog. Pretty sure mama and daddy wouldn't appreciate a youthful German Shepherd LOL

If your looking just to get way and relax or go explore Jacksonville or Springfield you can get there in 40 minutes. The wifi isn t strong enough to reach back to where we were but that was okay, I guess we didn t need to watch tv anyways. You can still here some cars because of the highway but it wasn t like really crazy. The part is a decent size if you don t want to hear traffic go further in the back.Terry the owner she is super nice and friendly you would want to come back just for that alone. The wifi isn t so strong but i guess we didn t need to watch TV. If you don t want to hear the traffic I suggest getting a spot in the back. The part is a decent size we really didn t hear it until the morning so by that time it getting up and getting ready to go and explore. You can hit Springfield in bout 40 mins or downtown Jacksonville in 15.

This place is absolutely fantastic! Our son was staying there long term for work, so we stopped in for a visit. Such an easy check in process and the woman running it was very friendly and helpful! The grounds are beautifully kept, the laundry room was very clean, and the area is very nice. We would highly recommend it!

This is a nice country campground. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Clean showers, well-kept grounds, lots of stuff for kids. 15 minutes from Jacksonville.Nearby activities: Try the links in Jacksonville for a nice cheap golf outing.Safety: Well-kept and safe environment.Walkability: Plenty of grassy paths to take a nice stroll around the park.

What a well-maintained RV Campground just off US-Hwy 67 near Jacksonville IL! We had a lovely quiet spot in the back right on a little farmed pond stocked with fish with a couple swans swimming on it! At night I opened up my windows and listened to the chorus of frogs. There are also cabins to rent and several nice trails they keep nicely mowed around the ponds and back into the woods surrounding the campground. Loved our stay!

Was a Beautiful campground me and my fianc have stayed at in awhile. We stayed in a cabin and couldn t have asked for a better time for 2 days! We searched for days for hotels in the area for the Cody Johnson concert a hotel would have been a down grade for the experience we had at your campground. Thank you again Terri! We will gladly be back!!

Stayed from December last year until September. Super friendly family run. Felt like I became adopted by both the staff and other long term professionals-engineers, linemen, and other travel nurses. Was very nice to see how the weekenders were kept separated. When the big freeze came and the water had to be shut off for a week, offered other accommodations. Laundry room, individual shower rooms, and large playground with bicycles, tricycles, balls, basketball and volleyball all located in the center. Two well stocked ponds for fishing, swimming, and canoeing. You can eat what you catch. Each pond has a fish cleaning table with supplies. Two story barn that has been redone for parties on the first floor and large open apartment on the second floor. Next to the dumpster are are large recycling bins and a place for cardboard/paper for fire starter. Firewood available anytime on an honor system. Security cameras and motion detector at entrance. Personal protection friendly.

Upon arriving the staff was very welcoming, the location is beautiful, great place to walk around if you have dogs that love to explore. We stayed for two days so that we could go explore Springfield(the lady at check in provided numerous brochures on things to do in Springfield/Jacksonville). We were provided a well kept pull through spot. It was a great stop, and the deer in the field during the evening was perfect. If I return to this area I will absolutely stay again. Oh, and the staff is extremely flexible and willing to help you as much as possible.

This place is absolutely beautiful. We reserved a spot for the end of November and we cant wait to be staying here. There is an awesome playground for the kids, ponds for fishing and walking trails through the woods. Owner was very sweet and talkative she showed us all around the property. Grounds are very well taken care of. Pet friendly as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Love that they have firepits at most the sites! Country setting 5 mins from town.

This is the best campground we have ever stayed in. The staff is great! Since the day we arrived the owner was very helpful. She showed us around. I love that they have a playground for the kids, it's also so convenient to have washer and dryers on site. Not to mention the spa which is very well put together. It's a very clean place and the views are beautiful. Definitely something you want to wake up and see every morning. I strongly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

We just spent several days in our class A motor home. We love the rural setting--reminded us of growing up in Iowa. We had no trouble parking/leveling and were glad for full hookups. The campground is clean and well maintained and Terri made sure we knew how to find the wifi hotspot. We actually had enough Verizon signal to text and make calls. We enjoyed the coffee shop in Jacksonville--Soap & Co. It was great to be only 5 minutes from Lenz Field where we watched our grandson play baseball.

I stayed here a couple different times while working in the area. I first stayed in the small cabin on the north side of the park, I was sharing it with another guy so it was cramped but if it s just one person or a parent and kids it would be fine. Then I moved over to one of the bigger cabins which was really nice and well kept with a great view. Then I moved into town to a motel for a while, after I got tired of that I bought a camper and moved back to the park. They gladly welcomed me back. I set my camper up in December, which isnt a good idea for first time camper owners. They were a lot of help if I ran into any kind of issue. Once it finally warmed up I walked all the trails out in the woods and fished the ponds. I stayed in my camper at the park for 9 months and got to know the people that own it pretty well and I would regularly offer help around the park, and they would offer anything I might be able to use. It s a nice quiet place with great people as owners and operators. If I m ever back in the area I will have to go back just to visit. Nestor and Terri are great people and I recommend this place to anybody.

We just spent the weekend in a silo! It was an amazing stay. The room we had was upstairs from the office and it was all we needed and more.I was a little leary about the heat (102 heat index) but the dedicated A/C until kept us comfy. There is also a ceiling fan and an isolating fan to help move the air.We had a full kitchen with a table, a living room with three rocker/recliners, an oversized bathroom, and one of the most comfortable beds to sleep in! We had Wi-Fi and DISH tv provided. There is also an inflatable bed available. The owners are the most friendly and helpful people. They suggested places to dine (Rudi's is awesome!), shop, and visit during our stay. They provided maps which was helpful because Jacksonville has no Verizon service. For those who like the outdoors they have a lake available. They offered fishing gear, life vests, and kayaks. They even have a small store in their office for incidentals and some fun camping items. This weekend was perfect and we will be back.

I was there for a wedding. This place is beautiful with the trees, the pond, the sunset, and the quietness of the place. It is right next to the highway but it seems like it is out in the middle of no where because it is so quiet. It's a great place to have a wedding and a reception. If you don't want to drive home, than you can stay in there cabins. They are perfect little cabins for these types of things. It was perfect to me. When I got up I went out on the front porch and watched the sunrise. The light hit the water to make the water extremely beautiful. The staff there is terrific as well. It's only a few people but it seems like there's a lot because of how nice everything is and I couldn't believe that only a few people could do such an amazing job. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone because you will have an amazing experience.

My daughter's wedding and reception were at Buena Vista last weekend. The entire experience with Teri was fantastic!! She worked with us for almost a year planning the wedding. She and her staff work very hard to please the brides. She answers every phone call or text quickly and was very easy to work with. We stayed in the cabins for the weekend, and they are really nice. I would recommend Buena Vista to anyone planning a wedding. It really was a stress-free experience for my daughter and me! Thank you Teri and the entire staff for everything you did to make Stephanie's wedding a weekend we will never forget!!!

This camp ground was awesome! We stayed in one of the cabins, & for 6 people it was perfect for 2 nights. We took our 2 dogs with us & they liked it, too! The grounds are beautiful & they have 2 large ponds to fish in that are stocked, so you can keep your catch & eat it, too! There is also a playground & basketball courts, & a cabin with wifi that is a small gameroom. Each cabin has it's own grill, microwave & a small fridge. Unfortunately, there was no oven, toaster oven or a hot plate. They did provide a crockpot, though. Also had a coffee pot, which was nice, as it was so cold the day we arrived! Only drawback is the single beds & twin beds were somewhat thin, great for kids, not so much for adults. We will definitely stay here again when visiting relatives nearby, our kids & pets loved it!

We loved staying in this campground. The owners were always nice and helpful. My kids loved the playground. It is so beautiful out there. Perfect for an outdoor wedding or just weekend camping. Bathrooms and laundry are clean. There is also a spa. Very lovely place and we enjoy our stay.

We just spent the night and really enjoyed meeting the owners. What a friendly helpful couple. We had some problem with our second air conditioner and they were very helpful. The campsites were well spaced and its a very shady and pretty park. Thank you so much for your hospitality and help. John and Christy

Our second visit. Working now on leveling the sites. Check before you settle. Power post on site #10 was wacky - showed current but none in RV and dial didn t budge. Pretty ponds and facilities but the office is a trash heap. Doesn t inspire confidence. Couldn t find an online registration did it all by email which worked fine. Nice host.

STAY AWAY! They are deceptive and will cancel your reservation as you are en route! (With text messages to prove it) Putting your safety in jeopardy. We have been traveling the country for 4 months and this is a first. We had a confirmed reservation for 2 nights. After mechanical issues delayed us, we let them know out of courtesy that we will be in late and double checked the park rules on their website. There is not one word that mentions no late check in. But the owners just decided to make it up and said hope you can find another spot at 9 PM on a Sunday night. Then All Loves [let] you stay there and said she d change the website. Worst experience with any park across the entire nation.

Very dark at night. Coulnt see anything. Camper/ rv pads are very uneven. I Didn't say it sucked but could be improved upon................ Wow!!! .. I was just giving my honest opinion. ... no need to threaten. :O AS IS, I'm sorry... 3 stars out of 5 isn't bad! I Was just trying to help and tell you how it could be improved. Wasn't even nothing major!!! Stars can always be improved........ Im sorry my father in law couldn't get off work till a certain time. He drove from Chicago to Jacksonville to see his family... Hasn't seen them in almost a yr! Didn't mean to offend.. As is, please level the pads... do whatever else.... Hate when people leave reviews and get attacked! P.s. large amount of people!? 4 adults and 3 children *1* night!!!! Second night, guests were 2 adults 1 child..... DON'T lie, please!? .... I'm sorry... it was pretty out there. Was just giving an opinion. Please don't attack me or anyone personally. Do as you will. :(

Terri saved the day by providing us with her neatly kept cabins...we were placed in a baseball tournament and no local rooms were available, so we decided to stay in the cabins which were 5 minutes from baseball field. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed our stay!

It was a nice camp ground with full hook up & a bath house plus laundry. They have a pond u can fish out of & use their canoes. Plus a spa that cuts hair & does manicures & pedicures on the weekend. I only gave it4 stars cause jacksonville doesn't have Verizon services which I have.

Terry, is by far the most accommodating host I have encountered on my travels! The cabin we stayed in was the smallest they have, but it was awesome! The bathroom and shower were INSIDE the cabin. Picnic area, fire ring, linens, and even kitchen supplies were included! I woke up to the most peaceful morning! I sat out on the picnic table and watched deer and squirrels eating their breakfast and even swans swimming in the pond! The little town of Jacksonville Il. has a very rich history of contributions to The Inderground Railroad. Also, they have huge gorgeous houses, wonderful places to eat and shop! Definitely plan an extended weekend! Close to St. Louis, MO and Springfield, Il! I stayed here with my bestie for our 2nd Annual Bestie Trip!

We loved this campground! Unlike most campgrounds, the space between RVs was ample. They have the standard facilities and the scenery was beautiful.
