Our daughter, a UI student, had car trouble. It was taken to Sammy s and checked out. He could not find any electrical or mechanical problems.He charged us $125.00 for the tests and his time. Sammy found a parasitic drain in my car that I had multiple other mechanics try to find without success. He fixed it the same day I dropped off my car for an extremely reasonable price. He offered multiple solutions and a non-standard workaround to my problem. Something that a dealership would never have entertained. He even gave me a ride back to the office while he worked on the car. Really excellent service and great guy :)

In the past he had proven fast and reliable but recently I have to change my view. I had 2002 bonneville that has a few electronic issues. I asked if he could look at it and he said yes but my car was too old and he would not be able to get parts. This is absolutely wrong. I can still buy these parts brand new from 3rd party vendors all day long because millions of these cars and their counterparts are still being driven daily. Anyway, after maybe 4 hours he called me back saying he could not work on it because it needs a new battery. I told him about the car and the massive power drain from some faulty electronics. Instead of even looking for these issues which would allow the battery to hold a charge longer. I had even all ready pin pointed the trouble areas I just don't have the mechanics experience or the tools. I was greatly disappointed when he just gave up without even trying.

Was referred here from Norris Tire a few months back when I was having electrical problems with my 2001 jeep cherokee. They kept us informed throughout the entire process about what was going on and fixed everything perfectly at a reasonable price.

My dad is 85. Sammy took advantage of his age and charged him for 3 hours of labor for simply installing a batteryMy father had provided the new battery.At this point in his career, sammy is just cashing out and looking to price gouge wherever he can including taking advantage of my 85 year old father.Service: Battery

I recently had two experiences with this company, and was highly pleased with both outcomes. My first was to have the alternator of an old truck replaced. This was done quickly and inexpensively without an appointment. The second was to have a broken fog light replaced in a sedan. This was also done efficiently at a reasonable price. When I went to pick up the car, Mr Sami (it's Sami, not Sammy!) told me that he noticed gasoline dripping from the underside of the car. He removed a plate that allowed him to determine that the gasoline was leaking from the fuel pump. This free diagnosis was a critical piece of safety information - I took the car immediately to a dealer to have it repaired. I highly recommend this business.

Absolutely the worst experience, I took a starter in for repair, they had it for minimal amount of time, sammy called and quoted $450 for repair. I said no we would pick it up. Sammy then charged me $125 for a quote. This man is a crook and a money grab. Don't do it, don't take anything to this place. Got to Bloomington, to Trebort Electric, it's worth the drive
