This property has been nicely updated, but...Expect a 100% carbohydrate breakfast;None, absolutely none of the plug outlets in the room would hold a plug, except the television. So, don't expect the refrigerator to function or your phones or electrical gadgets to charge; No coffee makers in the room and don't expect coffee to be made outside of breakfast hours; The usual complaints of low water pressure and a shower head you had to duck under, however there was nicely hot water; Both the shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty; and,We had some rusty water one of the nights were there. For the low price we would consider staying here again versus making the 35-mile drive to either Effingham or Terre Haute.

I was very pleased with our experience here! Rooms were a little outdated, but very clean. The breakfast selection was much better than I expected, and the manager was very friendly and attentive, directing us to high chairs for our little ones and such. I would definitely recommend this place- it has a great price to service/cleanliness ratios. We stopped here on our way to a further destination and decided to make it our stop on the way back too!

Room was clean, had a microwave and mini fridge but no coffee maker. We went to call office desk to ask what time check out was and realized there was no phone! Bare minimum on what room needed, although towels were super soft. Fitted bed sheet had a couple of visible holes in it, but king bed was comfortable. Should invest in new sheets. Advertised an outdoor pool, nope, pool was filled in and it was a grass patch. There was a nice patio by grass pool that should have had patio tables and chairs to enjoy just sitting out at night. We wanted to just sit outside with the nice weather instead of inside our room when we came back to it after our adventures out. They should have some sort of tables and chairs out there. Breakfast was so so, scrambled eggs were not good, but waffles with maker and pastries ok. Got our coffee there. Second day we went out to breakfast. Much better choice. If you need a reasonable, bare minimum decent place to just sleep, I'd recommend it.Rooms: Very basic, but cleanNearby activities: Close to the BIG attractions in the little town of Casey, Illinois

I was a little worried with the reviews but my mother and I had a pleasant experience. There was a empty water bottle behind the night stand and the fridge could have used some love, but none which affected our stay. I wouldn't even consider that dirty. It was comfy and served its purpose. And best of all no bugs! I always check for bed bugs. Even the mattress looked new.

This is one hotel I did not take photos or videos of. Due to severe thunderstorm we stopped at 5:21am to rent the last room available.I was not impress with the room or the location. The room is okay if you are looking to just get a few hours of sleep. I did not feel safe in the hotel. There is insufficient lights in parking lot. In addition, it is located behind a truck stop in a secluded area.

Do not stay here if you re interested in sleep, affordability (for quality of hotel, services, and overall experience). The truck stop will keep you awake all night. The beds are on hard springs, the rooms smell of dampness/mold.The small refrigerators make constant wheezing noises. The coat rack on the wall isn t safe, it hit me in the head when I tried to hang a shirt on it.We had to unfortunate experience of staying here during the high wind/storm outages at the end of June 2023.They get away with it because it s the only thing in the area.Rooms and common areas are not clean. The other guests that reviewed it giving 5 stars must be friends, family, or paid as a promotion. One guest even wrote best 2 star hotel , but gave them 5. A joke.We left before 2am it was that intolerable. Maybe if I was back in the military, living in condemned barracks, on Camp Pendleton I would consider it, but not with a spouse or children.

Hotel is very run-down and in a bad location. Our room was on the side of the hotel that is next to semi-truck parking where they come and go and idle all night long. Room A/C unit did not have a setting to leave the fan running all the time (this would have helped to mask the noise from the trucks outside); instead, it cycled on and off all night (it's pretty loud so it woke us up every time). There is a funky smell in the room and corridors (very old and worn carpet in some places). Door handle to room didn't work properly and would only open the door if lifted. Tub faucet dripped for an excessively long time after using. Beds don't use fitted sheets? That's really weird. No box spring, so apparently saving money by sacrificing comfort. Light fixture in corner of room was unplugged and missing its shade (just a bare bulb there). I noticed open wiring with wire nuts above the sink area near the light (I would imagine this is a code violation since it's easily accessible). We paid almost $100 for an incredibly sub-par room that wasn't worth more than $40.

Hotel is mediocre. If you need somewhere to stay and don't have anywhere else to go it's not a bad option. TV and A/C works. Refrigerator was kind of noisy but worked as well. No pool or gym.Rooms: Has a TV, refrigerator and a basic hotel bathroom with a king bed.Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants nearby.

Not 4 Stars as in 4 or 5 Star Hotel or Restaurant quality, but as in Google stars.Very clean rooms. I stayed here in 111 going north and 229, I think while going south. Limited but tasty breakfast.A bit hard to find when tire from your trip.Friendly and helpful service! Was friendly or honest enough to let me know elevators were not working before Renting me the room so I had the option to accept walking up stairs or leaving without actually signing in and paying first. In this day and age, that is very admirable!Kudos!I initially stop a bit before Casey when I saw another hotel advertisement stating Rooms starting at $41. Only to find out that price was if you rented for a week or more. For a single night it was higher than Casey Days Inn. Deception cost me time and mileage at the other hotel. Days Inn Casey was just the opposite! Honest! And Casey is home to the World s Largest two examples are pictured.

I was very disappointed in our stay. Our family lives nearby so we stay here several times a year. The room lacked the bare necessities... No conditioner, no pen, no paper, no desk lamp. There were stains on the chair, on the walls, and on the floor. The whirlpool tub did not work and was actually coming out of the wall. And there was mold all around the bathroom. There was a dog in the room above us. And it ran around and jumped up and down starting at 5:00 a.m. in the morning. I appreciate that they accept pets but for those of us that left them at home we would like to sleep in! The owners and staff are very pleasant and friendly. However, I really hope they start doing some updates and more cleaning. Although they may be one of the only motels in town, I will not be staying there again.

This place is a dump! From the old ladies drinking wine in the lobby (seemingly waiting to cruise for lonely truckers in a while) making a ruckus, to the cigarette smoke smell in the non-smoking room; from the four drunks 20 something s staggering in the parking lot and throwing some unidentified object about; from the bugs on the wall to a shudder worthy bathroom that I doubt was cleaned today - I regret staying here. The only thing that made me happy was that I did not bring my dog on this trip!If my car was not packed full - I d have rather slept in the reclined seat.I doubt I ll be able to shake the dirty feel this Days Inn in Casey IL has left as a residue in my clothes, skin, and mind.Do NOT stay here!Wherever you can find an hour up the road HAS GOT TO BE BETTER, SAFER, and CLEANER!

A little dated but room was big, clean & comfy. There was a fire door with a busted lock out back though. Seemed a safe enough area though. Very close to Casey to see all the Worlds Largest. Free coffee & breakfast (toast, bagels, mini muffins, fruit) in lobby between 6am-9am which was great.

Extremely disappointing!!! After a very long and exhausting cross country family trip we booked a room here and had to drive an additional 36 minutes to find it, we were told, at time of check in that they had no water in the entire place, I had only just booked it! And then asked for our check in info.! I politely asked to cancel our reservations! When asked, the clerk said there wasn't a hotel for at least another 20+ miles, we ended up finding one in approximately 5 minutes and were actually grateful that this one didn't work out!

Room was clean, comfortable and the service was excellent for the price! The door and faucet were a little glitchy but workable. Non-smoking room was nice. Pet friendly for a small fee $15.

We had a room on the second floor. The side entrance had no handle and no way to be secured. The hallway was filthy all weekend and smelled awful. Our door did not have a safety latch to put across from keeping the door from opening all the way. We saw no staff most of the time. The fitted sheets did not fit the bed and came off throughout the night.

I should have taken picture of this place. The smell inside the rooms will let you know that it hasn't been well kept. The tub / shower look like somebody tried to patch it up but they should have just taken out the whole thing I would have never step foot into that tub. I will have done bird baths at the sink. The refrigerator can keep anything cold but I want to put anything in it. You would have probably gotten something from keeping your food in there. Never again. I was sleep in my car at a rest stop. If it's storming and I'm on the road, I will go to a 24-hour gas station lay toilet paper on the toilet seat and sleep there until the morning time. I would never do go to this place again.

Not great. Not the cleanest or updated at all. Actually, quite a bit of disrepair. The shower head was terribly dirty and shot water straight back against the wall and made the whole bathroom wall and floor sopping wet. And this was a suite!Bed was clean and comfortable however (once I removed the comforter with a cigarette burn mark on it in a nonsmoking room).
