I took my car here for an oil change and was very impressed with the service. Tech JD was so friendly & helpful in explaining every step of the process. He also was thorough in checking my vehicle often. You don't come across this kind of customer service very often and I'll definitely be back.

Brought my vehicle to get maintained here at Pit Stop. Chuck & JD we're super genuine & honest from beginning to end. I've been to a few mechanics & none of them have treated me & my vehicle like Chuck & JD did.

Currently waiting to finish my oil change and had to comment on the customer service. Amazing welcome, took my car ahead of schedule time, informative on how to do some self services if needed... This is a standard in-and-out oil change shop. It's what you're looking for, quick, and fairly priced.The employee knew I wanted an oil change, they didn't try to guilt me into any other services, he simply drained the oil, and filled the oil, he also let me know the old oil still looked pretty good.Service: Oil change

I came in for an oil change in the middle of the day and they were able to get me in the bay immediately. They had a few cars lined up but I noticed they were getting clients on their way pretty quickly. When my vehicle was almost done, Jim came out and was very informative and helped point me in the right direction on anything else that may be needed to prep my car for the upcoming brutal Midwest winter (no pressure though). Overall very friendly, professional service, I would recommend Pit Stop to anyone and will likely come back in the future!

Didn t read the reviews but don t understand how this isn t a full 5 star rated place. I ve had my car serviced here for every oil change. The mechanic never steers me wrong plus always has caramels on deck so wish I could rate this place a 6 star!

Started hearing a noise in my right front side on Friday & at 6:30 on Friday night I went to their shop they close at 7, JD was there and I asked if someone could take a look real quick listen to the noise he said sure he got right under my car and saw the issue. He said that I could come back Saturday morning and they would be able to fix it for me. JD was nice enough to drive me home in his own car while they worked on mine. All of the guys were very friendly and they worked efficiently and the price was reasonable for fixing the sway bar $272. I ll definitely be back. I was slightly overdue on needing an oil change recently and one night on my way home I was driving by Pit Stop and figured I'd stop in and see if they might happen to have time to do my oil change, even though I knew they were closing in about an hour and 1/2. I figured that it was pretty unlikely but worth the ask. When I walked in the shop I immediately felt like a valued customer. The mechanic who greeted me right away was so nice and said he could do the oil change for me that night. He was very informative during the process and fully explained his reasoning for any optional recommendations he made and their benfit of getting them, which made me feel respected and that I could trust him.The entire time his aura was genuinely upbeat and positive, and best of all, he was fast. the waiting room was clean, comfortable and nicely lit. I definitely plan to return to this shop in the future!Service: Oil change

I honestly don t know why I waited so long to write this review. Don t go here as a woman unless you want to be ripped off and lied to. I came here a couple months back to get my oil changed before work. I m a young girl who doesn t know much about cars so I often get intimidated going into auto shops. The men here were very kind and I trusted that they were being honest with me. I told them I needed just a basic oil change with conventional oil for my Nissan Sentra. I was in the waiting room when the mechanic came in and told me to follow him. He showed me his computer and said he looked up what kind of oil my car needed and it said synthetic. First of all, you re a mechanic and you need to Google what kind of oil a Nissan Sentra needs? I knew my car didn t take synthetic, but I TRUSTED him because why wouldn t I believe what he was saying? I was charged $80 for synthetic oil (it said synthetic on the receipt too) and left but knew something was weird because I d never paid that much for a simple oil change. I looked up at the sticker in my car that tells you what mileage you are due for another change and noticed it said CON . I called my dad and asked him what this meant and he called this place and asked what it would mean if a sticker from them said CON and they responded that it meant they had used CONVENTIONAL Oil. I was so upset after learning that I had been taken advantage of and lied to by these grown men that I trusted to take care of me. I ended up going in the next day to get my money back and was greeted by a man who told me that they must have made a typo on the receipt and meant to say conventional. That was 10000% not a typo. Your worker literally brought me out into the garage to show me that my car needed synthetic . He convinced me that my car needed this synthetic oil, just so he could get a couple extra bucks. Definitely not a typo. Not to mention, I read my owners manuel once I got home and it says my car needed conventional. The reason for me writing about my experience is to warn others that this place is shady and will do just about anything for a couple extra bucks. Don t trust them and go somewhere else where you won t be ripped off.

I have been coming to Pit Stop for a few years now, so please read this review knowing that this is more than an I was here once and had a single experience. Every time I come here, I leave feeling educated about my car and confident in my decisions. I have been served by many people here and have always felt this way (they must have a great vetting process for who they hire), but I must give a shout out to JD for his approachable demeanor and his knowledge base. I never feel dumb for asking questions and he goes so far as to educate me on what the root of the problem is, how important / urgent it is to fix, and is always upfront about how much I would expect to pay. I never feel taken advantage of or pressured to pay for more than I came for, but I almost always come back here for the fixes they recommend because they are good at what they do and only recommend fixes that make sense. I know I ll be honestly taken care of, which makes this the kind of place I enjoy supporting. Thanks again JD for all of your expertise and hard work!

I have been a customer for years and always had been happy with the service. We have 4 cars that we take here. Today my son took his car here for an oil change. They upsold my son almost $75 for a motor flush and Lucas treatment on a car with 38,000 miles that has had full synthetic oil from the day it came from the lot. Service is good, but the fact that they prey on naive people to upsell services that are unneeded is poor business practices. I understand everyone is in business to make a profit, but to tell him he needs a flush because the oil is black. All oil is black at the end of life just be truthful and don t use scare tactics.

Scam artists. Watch for the bait and switch. They offer a discount. If you give them a five star rating on Google maps, which is why this is highly reviewed. Make sure to ask for everything in writing before you do any sort of business with these people. They will tell you one price and then hit you with double the price at the end.

JD is awesome and very polite, i went in to bring my aunts car for an oil change and he let me know her car is a full synthetic only, he was polite enough to break it down for me and advised me to steer clear of shops that don't tell you exactly what ur car needs. These guys have ur back!!

Had both cars due up for an oil change. I had been here before when they first opened and had great service and good prices. Decided to come back. Glad we did. Was in and out quickly. The owner pointed out that my front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced but was not even slightly pressuring or pushy. He just wanted to make sure I was aware and stated that they could replace and gave me a quote but by no means was there pressure at all. He even allowed my son to keep the Elmo book he was reading in the lobby as we were leaving! Came back the following day with the other car (on a Sunday, loved that) and again great service.Was in and out in no time. Great guy and great service. Highly recommend. Thank you!

I was very impressed by my visit here last Tuesday. My vehicle has nearly 200k miles on it, and as such there's no such thing as a simple maintenance anymore. I came in with a grinding brake, and the owner went through and did a diagnostic. I had multiple issues, but he was able to clearly communicate what he thought the issues were, and clearly layout the price and fees for service. I agreed, and left my vehicle overnight. The next day I got a call the work was complete. They let me take it on a quick test drive before paying to confirm the issues had been corrected, then I paid. The services I needed were expensive, but worth it. I'd recommend anyone who needs service on their vehicle to stop here!

No star if I could. My 18 year old son's car stopped on the side of the expressway after paying $2800 per their professional advice of the engine replacement , catalytic converter and spark plugs and wires. I paid to have it towed for the second time out of pocket because they are far from my home. Got car back it stopped same evening a couple of hours later. Towed again my expense. The manager or owner not sure which he stated he would come to me this time to see what the problem was because he had to come to Indiana which is near me . I waited and waited. No call no show. Called several times on the next business day to get the run around. This is unacceptable behavior for a business. The need to honor the warranty or purchase my son's car. He is a kid and you are trying to take advantage of us both. This will not be the end of my story.

Every time I get my oil changed the staff is in a good mood and if they are busy they acknowledge you and let you know it may be a little longer to get work completed which I'm fine with . I would rather they take their time and do it right

The place did a good job on my oil change. However, the price of the oil change listed on the wall was $59.99. Once it was completed I was was told my car needed 2 more quarts of oil and a special oil filter. I was charged another $42 for these additional parts. I had my car at several different oil change places and never was told I needed a special filter and my bill was never over $70 dollars. If you don t mind paying 30% extra bring your car here.Service: Oil change

This place is so awesome Chuck is such a wonderful person he changed my oil. He also helped me with my latch in my trunk cause it got stuck and fixed it. They don t up-charge prices are great. Everyone there are professional and respectful I m so glad I met them every time I need work on my car they the one I m going too. My car broke down near Pit Stop and one of the mechanics helped me get the car to the shop safely. So far I am a satisfied costumer after having them fix my transmission. The owner is very nice and helpful as well.

I came into Pit Stop with the intentions of just getting my oil changed and a regular check up. I mentioned a few things I noticed about my vehicle and they said they would check it out. I ended up needing new brakes and a few other things. I got an oil change, brakes and everything else within about an hour which is much faster than other competitors. The employees were professional, friendly and knowledgeable!

Paying $64 for a synthetic oil change. I was ripped off by $34 maybe more . They gave me the cheapest oil filter and oil. I did my own oil change today and did everything for $34. Currently have 1 quart of oil left but now after completing my own oil change I ve fix it , and not to add they broke my plastic plate as well.Cheapest oil filter on the planet is what they gave me!!! I would never go to this place ever again

I would not recommend. Took my car in for oil change, which was fine. Then I left and smelled a strong odor of oil but figured it was just from being the in garage while getting oil changed. Several days later it was just as bad so my husband opened hood to find that the employee would changed oil didn t put cap on and my engine had oil spilled all over the place...hence the strong odor. And since car was In my garage oil had dripped down on floor of my garage. We called and gentleman apologized and said he would talk to owner and call us back to make it right....do you think he called us back. NO. We had to call again and he said he was so busy and had not had a chance to talk to owner. This to me is terrible customer service, gave them a full day and part of them next day to fix the situation and they couldn t even give us the courtesy to call us back. I would 100 percent never go back and would never recommend to anyone. Thanks for making a mess of my car and garage! If I could give zero stars I would. Do not go to this place!!!!
