This Midas is always very easy to work with. I drive a fleet vehicle for work and have a list of preferred vendors from my employer, so I have experience with a handful of different Midas locations, they're not all the same. The team here is friendly and knowledgeable, they stay on top of their schedule and I have never had a negative experience. The best case scenario for vehicle service is straightforward and uneventful, and that is a probable experience here.

Waited 2 weeks for my car to be repaired and got reemed upon pickup. Way overpriced and upon entering the vehicle there was grease all over the floor board, mats the headliner and the seats. Steering wheel was caked with dirt and grease. Very sloppy employees don't even clean up. This is the second time they leave grease and dirt throughout the car . Unprofessional and unsatisfied!!!.won't be coming back

Thanks, guys for saving my vacation. My Windshield washer pump died on a trip up north for Thanksgiving weekend. Everyone I called schedules were all booked up. These guys offered to help me out or I would be stuck there till way after the holiday.

We went in to have brake pads replaced, after 45 minutes they finally called and said there were also 2 lugnuts missing from my rear tires? I had just had my tires rotated approx. one month ago at this location? Also it took another 45 minutes to install 2 lug nuts that they probably forgot to put on from a month ago....Very sloow and sloppy shop, they will try and up$ell you too hard here these days... try Car X / Merlin's next time! (they used to be a lot more professional last year?) They charged me $17.00 for the missing lug nuts too!! Not Happy with Midas! Last year went home twice from oil changes with oil leaking on my garage floor.Services: Tires, Brakes, Oil change

It's always stressful trying to find a new mechanic. It's even more stressful trying to find a new mechanic when your vehicle's engine is having serious problems. Not only am I happy that I took my SUV to Midas of carpentersville, but now I'm ecstatic to know I have a location and mechanics I can trust when things arise in the future.When I called to make an appointment, because I heard this location gets busy, they were able to get me in very quickly. Even while I was waiting inside the lobby, I saw a new customers coming in to see if they could take cars and every customer was greeted respectfully and got on the list. My experience with Alonso and Daniel have solidified my choice of mechanic, and they have a customer for life.Daniel was very courteous when welcoming me in, the store felt clean and fresh, giving more of a dealership feel. The advertisements on the wall never felt tacky, it was actually interesting to read. And I never felt like I was being sold to. And I think that's probably one of my favorite aspects of this experience. I never felt like I was just another customer being pushed to buy something else.Alonso was the person who was working directly with my truck. I asked to communicate over text and not only did he immediately oblige, his communication via text was quick, prompt, courteous, and always to the point. That is incredibly refreshing. Most businesses don't want to communicate via text and it really turns me off as a customer. The guys at Midas made me feel like I was valued by wanting to communicate in the fashion I needed to communicate in. While working on my car they found a bunch of other issues, but again it never felt like I was being forced or sold to, rather it felt like they honestly wanted to get some of these things fixed because it would be hazardous to my driving. It honestly felt more like they were concerned about my well-being and my family rather than just making a sale.When all was said and done, I did end up spending a lot more than I was expecting, but it never felt like a burden. Knowing that they did their best work and knowing how I felt taking care of, I feel like I not only trust the crew at Midas of carpentersville, but I felt like I was part of the family. After calling and arranging for a quick light bulb in my headlight I was made to wait while their supplier bought it to them when they clearly had time. To do that before I arrived and at check out. I was made to feel as if I had to give my address. Which I did not want to provide. You don't need it. I don't want your flyers in the mail

Recommended my 18 year old daughter take her car to Midas for an oil change and exhaust inspection because her car was a little loud. I recommended because I have taken my wife s car there for a brake job and worked with Mike and had no issues. Daughter came home and handed me the receipt. Total was $60. I looked further into the receipt and they charged my daughter $30 for an exhaust inspection that the website states is complimentary. I ask her if they said there was a fee to inspect and she said no. I called immediately and spoke with Mike. He said they do charge for exhaust inspection and he did not inform her of this. He said he would refund the fee. In looking at her estimate she had been given, the estimate said she needed an engine air filter because hers was dirty. Didn t make sense to me because 1 month prior I replaced hers. So I checked her filter and it is perfectly fine. Never will I recommend any Midas and especially this Midas to ANYONE. I mean seriously taking advantage of young adults and especially women. I will be sure to let all know this place is a rip off and deceptive to get your money

Very disappointing experience. I did the oil change and after you guys did it my whole driveway was in oil. The whole engine was in oil.before I have clean engine and right now it lookes like pise of old car. Never again at this location

I've been having this location do all oil changes and other services on my vehicles for many years now. The staff is very thorough, honest and friendly. A local Car Dealer quoted me over $600 for a few things I needed to address on a vehicle (Most of the cost was labor). Brought it to Midas and they completed the exact same work that was required for $175, using the same OEM parts.

This place is great, thought I had an issue with my tire, turned out to be something else. They got me in and out quickly and efficiently at no charge greatly appreciated!!!

I took a gamble and came in at 8:30 hoping to be squeezed in before appointments filtered in. Nick was great and took care of my rear brake replacement while I waited. The price was fair and service was completed within the 90 minute promised time. As other customers filtered in, Adam and Nick greeted them by name which was very impressive. This was my first experience at this shop and I will be coming here for all future maintenance and repairs.

I had the pleasure of working with Willy. He's not normally at this store, but he was helping Adam out. It was my first time here as I recently moved into the area, and I have to say that my oil change experience was awesome. They even pointed out some of the stupidity of my Toyota dealer, such as installing my directional tires backwards, which were causing my car to have less traction and wear out quicker. Willy was extremely knowledgeable and really helpful. I will definitely visit this location again, and I hope I can work with Willy again!

Going on a long road trip tomorrow, needed my tires changed out. Made an apt for 630 pm via website, website allowed me to make the apt, never heard from anyone , called to see if I could come in earlier, but was told they take their last apt at 6 pm. It was 610 , asked if I could come right now, or first thing in the morning , said no. Now I don't know what I'm going to do for my long road trip tomorrow. Don't trust the Apts via website. Will try to find another place of business to do my tires for me before this trip.

Took my 2011 Hyundai Tucson to the Midas location in Carpentersville, IL at 20 S Western Ave, for an oil change and tire rotation on Saturday, May 8 for a 7:30 AM appointment. Everything went well enough.Later in the day the SUV started making strange noises that were becoming progressively worse as it was driven. Called the manager and brought it back.They tried to hand us the keys without telling us what the issue was and when pressed for an answer, they told us that only two of the five lug nuts on the rear passenger-side tire were tightened, three were not.No apology and no further explanation after what could have been a potentially hazardous safety issue despite their oversight. Have filed a complaint with Midas corporate and I will absolutely not be going back as well as steer anyone I know away from them and Midas as a whole.Services: Tires, Oil change

After telling me it would be 470 to replace my window actuator I decided to wait on the service. I was then told I owe 105 for looking at it which was never told to me prior to inspection. After telling them I needed to wait they charged me $105 and the grand total of the repair somehow went up by $60. Lastly they quoted $240 for parts that I found for just $40 on autozones website. SCAM!

These guys always go the extra mile. Great, honest opinions. I've run into other loyal customers here. If you need work, or a repair opinion, they always work with you / for you. I've had many cars worked on here, and even some... fixed what other shops said were WAY more expensive or complicated to fix. They took a look, fixed the problem. Done.

I took my noisy exhaust in for an estimate assuming it would be disastrously expensive. Turns out I never went anywhere else. After about 20 mins with the car tech Adam said I could spend $700+ and get all new stuff or they could weld me up / patch me up for under $200. I went with the $184 fix. I live close and planned on walking home while they did the work. Instead I got a door-to-door ride home from another technician, Tyler. About 90 minutes later the work was done.I am super-satisfied. Great job, Midas!

This place will rob you. $3400 later and my fathers truck is worse now than I was before we brought it there. They have no answers or knowledge of what the problem is but still replace parts that don't need to be replaced as process of elimination. Pretty disappointed on my third visit to this location. I dropped my car in the morning to get oil change and tires rotated (mostly because the oil change includes tire rotation).Before dropping off the vehicle, I happened to notice unique orange markings on my driver side s tire that the other tires didn t have.In the evening, when I came back to pick up my vehicle, I noticed that the tire with the orange marking was still where it was in the morning. I was sure that the tire rotation was not performed.I asked the cashier if tires were rotated. He said yup. I asked him again if he was sure about it. He said, let me confirm with the technician. He goes inside to check with the technician and I m thinking - if you have to check, why did you say yes the first time I asked? He comes back and says - yes, tires were rotated. At this point, I take him out to show the marking on the tire to prove that the tires were not rotated. He is like - let me check with the technician coz he was in the bathroom. So I m thinking now - if the technician was in bathroom, who did you confirm with the last time you went inside? He comes back again and says - he says he did it but we will do it again. No problem.Here s the problem: the guy is not admitting that it wasn t done. He keeps on saying it was done but they will do it again! If he understands the concept of tire rotation, if you do it once, you shouldn t do it again, coz that will just undo what you did. So clearly, he knows he is lying and hence ready to do it. How about a simple apology?If the tire rotation wasn t done, how do I trust that the other service (full-synthetic oil change) was performed? What if they just filled in a synthetic blend or even worse, a conventional oil?Now I m questioning why this location charges only $49.99 for a full synthetic while jiffy lube and Honda dealership charges $65 for a synthetic blend and north of $90 for a full synthetic oil change.Their motto is - Trust the Midas Touch, but I m sorry I don t trust this location anymore and will not be going there again.

Okay so this is rare, I'm actually writing a positive review about car repairs :-) my 2013 Chrysler Town and Country has over 80,000 miles on it and has regularly gotten oil changes tires and brakes here at Midas through the years. Last year I had to do some front-end work... shocks and struts and a bunch of other stuff cuz I ride my van hard ... to the tune of about $1,400 for everything we got done in that visit.Now a year later my front end is misbehaving and talking to me again, and I'm scared. I feel like it's going to be another $1k problem and I'm debating burning the van to the ground versus trying to afford another big repair.However, Nick and Adam Look up my stuff, and everything is covered under warranty. I'm so happy to have found a company that actually backs their work and honors their guarantees and warranties. Very very refreshing, and you've earned a client for life. Much appreciated. Thank you for my safe and non-knocking around front end while I'm bumping up and down Huntley road ride!
