I have been taking my vehicle here to be serviced for a few years. Each experience surpasses the previous encounter. Friendly professional team. Very satisfied with the work performed. Reasonable prices with focus on proper repairs. Never an effort to upsell me. They go the extra mile to make sure I can. Highly recommend.

We take all of our vehicles to this shop for over 10 years. Louis and company are just great people. Always fair, fast, reasonable and will go out of their way to make things right when an issue arises. Wouldn t go anywhere else!

Great place. These guys took care of a problem a different Merlin's shop caused to my car free of charge. I've been coming back ever since. Their service is quick and precise and their prices are reasonable. Luis the owner is a great guy and hires only the best mechanics to work at his shop. If you want quality service, come here.

I have been coming to this shop for almost 2 years now and I have no complaints whatsoever. The owner is a very friendly and respectable man, and I can tell he wants the best for his customers. Never have I felt like I was taken advantage of price wise, like I have at other mechanic shops. I will continue to use this location for as long as I m in the area. On top of quick service, the customer service is equally as good. I ve always felt like I m treated as more than just a customer.

The guys in the shop did an amazing job with my breaks. I feel safe driving knowing I can trust their work. I made it clear to the service Manager John I didn't know much about cars, he went beyond measures to make sure I was satisfied with the work done (to my car) and knew every step of the way what they were going to do for me. My car is running smooth and I'll be back just for his kind customer service and knowledgeable well trained staff

I am a long-time customer of Merlin and wouldn t trust taking my car anywhere else. Luis and Jason are always friendly, helpful and willing to answer any questions I have even if the questions seem dumb. They take care of their customers. I appreciate the hard work of the employees/mechanics as well. They are equally as important. Merlin s prices are reasonable, service is awesome and I never feel like an inconvenience when bringing my car in for an issue or routine service.

Merlin Carpentersville is the only place I will ever visit - I've never had a good experience anywhere else. The guys there are so kind and patient. I visited this morning for a wheel alignment after being in just last week for an oil change. Jose has been awesome in helping to explain the problems with my car and figuring out how to get everything done in a safe, affordable manner. I really appreciate how above and beyond they go.Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change

I consistently go here whenever I have car problems or need my car checked out. I once thought I needed brakes and came in, only to be told that my brake pads had plenty of life! They also are consistently the lowest price when I get estimates on car repairs. Their honesty has earned a lifelong dedicated customer!

My Family and I have been customers for years now. Never had a problem until January 5th, 2021. The wonderful gentleman I spoke with over the phone, helped me set up my appointment, and gave me a quote of: $118.99 plus tax for both oil change and radiator flush. (He specified the cost for each service as: $29.99 for oil change and $89.00 for radiator flush plus tax). As I've done prior everytime I bring my car, I went inside towards the counter and first of all this very Rude guy can't even say hi and abruptly asks: "What are you here for?" I told him about my appointment, he grabbed my car keys and almost immediately after he parked my car inside their work area, he came out and said my radiator had "a pooling leak". I asked: "Can I see where it's leaking from?" He almost didn't even let me finish my question and replied: "NO". To that I said: "Can you then do the oil change only, please?" He absolutely hated this lady asking him that. After he was done, he said I owed him $45 and change. I asked him: "What about the $29.99 oiI change price I was told by (name of the Gentleman I've spoken with over the phone) when I scheduled my appointment? He very coldly repeated to me twice: "The price is $45 and change." I said: "No. I'm paying what I was quoted over the phone." and he very haughtily added: "Well, you know what? IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT TO PAY THEN GO AHEAD AND PAY THAT!!!" I'm a lady customer of this place and have been for years, but this is the Very First time I've been disrespected and bullied. He said his name was: JASON. Oh, by the way, after I got home that day I decided to put a clean towel under my car where the radiator and engine are for a total of 24 hours and then I checked. Guess what? There was absolutely no fluid leaks of any kind.

This shop has a great attitude and takes pride in their work. As cars pulled into their lot, I heard them quickly chatting about each one, seeming interested in meeting their customer's needs. When I left with my finished vehicle, I took it for a test ride to make sure the work was good and came back. One of the techs zipped out of the office and asked me, "Is everything ok Mr. Fox?" I told him why I was back and he asked me again, "So did your test drive go ok?" These questions represent a great customer service attitude. I brought the car to this Merlin because I called five other shops in the area to ask them to do something to my car, most of which would not call me back. This Merlin was the only shop that seemed to know what I was talking about and they performed the service work at reasonable cost. They even squeezed me in before a holiday because I really needed my car. Win.

Ive went to this location for oil changes but i recently had problems with my car leaking trans oil so i bought my car in to get seen and i was told i needed to get a new trans line because thats where the oil was leaking from ok i pay for that i get my car back 3 days later id leaking again and also my car is slipping gears they tell me that if its still slipping to see a transmission specialists i take my car to another place. Remind you before i bought it to merlins that was not happening so i go to this other place they specialize is transmission they tell me my trans is completely gone. Moral of the story dnt waste your money going here because they givr you false info to get money never going back hereService: Transmission

They were courtesy there are knowledgeable friendly they get the job done right on time to price is good and they guarantee everything they do I highly recommend going to Merlin's you won't be disappointed if it's not broken you're not going to fix it so if it was me I'd head over to Merlin's to get an estimate and have the work done there
