I can't say enough how much I appreciate the service at this location. Sal, Cole, and Eric went the extra mile today and provided impromptu service so I wouldn't be stranded. They even changed my license plate and brake light with no questions asked. It was a busy day and they made me a priority. I would highly recommend using this repair shop. They have an amazing team of employees.

I m using this car x location for the past 15 years never been disappointed with the quality of the work they do or the friendliness. Always the same professional crew working not much turnover between the staff. Recommend it to anyone for a small break job or an engine rebuild which I had last week. keep up the good job guys. Thank you.

Always take my car here for oil change and any car issues I ve had. They do a quick and thorough job! Sal at reception is very helpful and honest.

Brought my car in for check engine light and they told me I needed this and that and the other. Costed me $1000.00. And one day later my check engine came back on again. Brought it back in and costed me more. Then my battery died. Ugh.

The local BMW dealer could never hear the noises in our car when we took it to the. We took it to Car-X and they diagnosed wheel bearings and control arms issues. They worked with our 3rd party extended warranty company so it cost us $50. Noise is completely gone. They did a great job.

Called the guys over at Car-X in Carpentersville Monday morning to see if they could weld in a resonator on my car's exhaust system. They told me to drop it off and they'd have it done same day. Dropped off at noon, and picked up by 4. Worked performed as requested and looks like they did a decent job for a fair price.

My husband took his car here to get a Front End Alignment and he was told they wouldn't be able to do it because it needed $2919.00 in repairs in order to do the front end alignment. We took our car to two ethical company and they were able to do the frond end alignment for $89.00 and either company noticed any of the repairs CarX was telling we needed. This is a company that takes advantage of elder customers and women. I am going to be reporting this location to the better business bureau. I think it's funny that the Salesperson doesn't even put his name all he puts down is CB. Please be aware of the shady location before you spend your hard earned money there. I only gave it one star because I couldn't continue with the review unless I gave it a star.

Top Notch Service... very affordable repairs and very knowledgeable staff. I have referred several people to this CarX. I would highly recommend this facility. Don't waste your Hard Earned Money by going to a Dealership Service Department. This is a very Professional Service Facility that has very affordable rates! Especially if you want the work done right the first time that also comes with a warranty!

This shop had redone my brakes on all four wheels by taking the time to correct a dealership and prior independent shop(s) mishap. In using new components and cleaning up some other's shop(s) previous mess without breaking my bank account. While charging an honest price and not rushing through it, making sure the job was done correctly. I feel safer now for myself and my Son, a beginner driver. Trustworthy staffs on site to help out with your automotive issues. Bob, the owner, treat me with respect and is always accommodating. Sal, the general manager, is very helpful and have a very good work ethic. He is always professional and polite. They have a great crew working for them. Everyone knows what they are doing there.Thank You Guys for all your contributions in helping my car running smoothly.

Great customer service, They care about the work they perform... have had my car in their shop numerous times. From doing a full suspension repair to oil changes they perform top quality work for half the price of there competitors.If you want great prices and quality work you have to check these guys out.

Took my 2019 Nissan Roque to this CarX for a brake inspection before going on a long trip. The owner told me the rotors were destroyed due to rust and the pads needed replacing also. I was told the rotors were made of very cheap metal. The estimate was for $934.I then went to another repair shop and was told that the rotors and pads were in great shape and just needed to be removed and cleaned for only $250. Make your own conclusion.

Top notch customer service in a world that desperately needs it. The great hospitality by the owner and staff are just absolutely refreshing. The owner drove me back to my house while I waited for my car to be repaired. This is old school hospitality that I wish more places had. The manager was very informative of the issues I had and didn t try to price gouge me. I recommend 100%Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brake service & repair

Let me tell you that all the people at this location are super helpful they will go out of there way to make sure you get an honest job at a honest price. Have had all my vehicles serviced there from time to time. never have had any issues, very helpful, polite and professional business!! i would not go anywhere else!! The owner Bob is an awesome guy! all his guys are! Elias is a super tech! Be sure to go here before going anywhere else they won't let you down!!!

I needed new brake pads, a rotor, and a caliper. They charged me 1/3 of what Ford and another mechanic quoted me. They even brought me into the shop to show me the parts they replaced. I checked my car before bringing it in and know that they did replace them. They were very friendly and did the job very quick and at a great price. I will be going back.

Sal is very knowledgeable and has a very nice bedside manner, which is very hard to come by it seems like in this day and age, his crew are wonderful at fixing and maintaining your vehicle, they won't over charge you, and they'll always call if they have a problem and want to fix it for you! 5 Star's and then some, also great location too!! Right in front of Woodman's!!

My first experience here at Car-X was today and it was a pleasant one. I have an exhaust bracket that broke, bought a replacement, but couldn't even get the old one off because of where it was located. Car-X looked at it, removed the old one, but found the one I had and even what they had wouldn't work for our car. They were kind enough to make some recommendations too.I will definitely bring our cars back here.

I bring my son's 2006 Volvo S80 for oil changes and repairs. I'm very happy with Sal and his crew. They are friendly, dependable and do an awesome job.

Generally I work on my own vehicles unless it is too cold outside or it is a repair that is beyond my expertise. And besides enjoying working on my vehicles, the main reason for this is that I worry that the repair shop is going to stick it to me. What I love about this CarX is the honesty they have. Adam could not be more friendly and I absolutely always feel as though I was given a fair price for the work. You know that dreaded call a repair shop sends your way after they diagnose your problem and give you the estimate? And that price is always sky high? This CarX has never once done that to me (unlike certain Ford dealers in the area). When they call and give me the price, I am always shocked how reasonable their estimates are. And what makes it better is that they stick to the estimate price. That is what you will pay, end of story.Also, it is nice that they can fix a variety of issues on a variety of cars. Could not be happier taking my car to these guys/gals. I own two Fords, so I know a thing or two about having to repair my vehicles! LOL

Awful service. I filed a negative review 4 months ago but it just never seemed to appear . . . Called for a brake job, was told they would order parts and made a appointment, dropped my car off, got a ride home, when I arrived home then they called to tell me they didn't have the parts and to come back the next day. Furious - needless to say my time is valuable and there was no "sorry, come back tomorrow." Save yourself the time and take your service needs some place else.

For mechanical issues, look no further! Straight forward guys with a get it done right attitude. Integrity and Honesty isn't always something you think of when most people think of a repair shop, but these guys are definitely different! If you need something fixed and I'm sure everyone has at one point, look no further. Just ask for Adam and he will take care of you!

I had no air conditioning in my car for 3 years because of the quotes I got to fix it. I took my car to them and they told me I didn't need a new compressor only a part.. great job done... I definitely will be taking my car back to them.

Have visited this Car X a few times over the years since they have opened, and every visit seems to have some sort of issue. But efficiency is consistently lacking as well as customer service. Efficiency seems to be an issue of understaffing and overbooking but it shouldn t take an hour and a half for an oil change and a tire rotation, and it would have been nice had they relearned the tpms sensor like I had asked them to but was told they don t have to tools to do it. So it looks like once again I ll be relarning the tpms system myself. My advice to the store would be to staff yourselves adequately and work on time management as well as perform 100% of the services you are selling, tpms has been mandated since 2007 so in 12 years you still don t have mechanics equipped to handle these systems? That is laziness plain and simple. And many vehicles don t require a relearn scan tool to reset tpms sensors(mine included) I actually explained fhe process to the manager and was still told that was not something they could do and he insisted I go to discount tire across the street to have my tires rotated. So maybe you guys should just stop offering tire services all together? My advice to the customer would be to only come to car x as a last resort if you are unable to go elsewhere.
