Great place to get your car worked on! Prices seem very fair and reasonable. Chris was very accommodating during my couple visits and made what can be an annoying process very easy for the customer. Definitely give them a try!

I have a Honda Civic. The dealer had identified several components for costly replacement during the previous routine maintenance service. I thought to get a second opinion from Kehoe. Chris allocated 40 minutes to thoroughly review each of the items and told me all was fine at this point in time. I made an appointment for the regular maintenance services needed. All went well, no surprises, a fair value for the work performed. Two days later, Chris followed up to make sure all was well. A nice action that is appreciated by me. I plan to be a regular Kehoe Auto customer, as I was a decade before!!

Very good experience at Kehoe Auto repair. I originally brought my Jaguar to a well known Jag dealership with an electrical problem. They had the car for four hours and couldn t find the problem and then wanted $400.00 for telling me the old there s a short somewhere and we ll need the car for a few days . A friend recommended Kehoe- I brought it to Chris at Kehoe and Chris and his crew had the problem solved in no time. They went on to fix some other problems that the Jag dealership wanted a left lung for. Chris and his team are honest and very competent. I highly recommend Kehoe Automotive!!

A 10/10 experience.Brought my truck in for a diagnosis on a pretty technical transmission issue. The shop was able to locate a very strong lead on what could be wrong with my transmission, and they were able to provide exact numbers.The service was extraordinary. As someone who has done nearly every bit of repairs and maintenance on their own vehicle, it s hard to trust someone with your vehicle. Chris, the service writer at the front desk was a great guy. A lot of shops you go to, you get someone know it all guy who usually gives you attitude. Chris was definitely not that. I explained my issues and what I ve done, and he took everything into consideration and listened to everything I said. The tech I talked to was also really respectful and nice as well.It s usually hard to find a quality shop, so if you re on the fence about kehoe auto, definitely come in.

I called Chris the day before the holiday to see if he could fit me in, without an appointment, for an inspection and probable brake job. He completed that and some other necessary repairs at a very reasonable cost. Excellent service and great people to deal with. You ve gained a new customer!!

I've been here for multiple issues on my Infiniti and Chris has always done a great job at finding the problem and fixing it in a timely manner. I will keep returning as I trust in the service that I receive here and would recommend Kehoe Auto Repair.

Came in for a simple oil change was out within 30 minutes simple,fast and best of all they didn't come out and try to upsell anything will definitely be taking my car here for now. Very pleasant experience

Chris the business owner is so attentive to the needs of my vehicle. He is very thorough and was able to pin point right away the problem/s and helped me save money for unnecessary repairs.Surprisingly, I was offered a loaner car of which I did not even ask- that help me complete my work day.Taking back my vehicle- the problem was resolved and we made a progressive plan of finally fixing all of the other major and minor concerns.Definitely, we ll be bringing more customers that need your expertise.Kudos to Chris! We didn t only find a reliable auto repair mechanic but also a friend.

Took my 2009 Traverse in for diagnosis and repair of my A/C system. Chris got the diagnosis done quickly and found my 14 year old car only needed an A/C recharge. Chris immediately did that and I got my car back the same day (with a bill that was easy to swallow!) Chris then texted a couple of days later to see how the A/C was working -great customer service! I highly recommend Kehoe Automotive for all your repair needs!

My 2013 Honda Pilot Touring broke down while taking my son to his therapy session. I had to leave my car overnight in a store plaza. I was able to get it towed in the morning to Kehoe automotive. This was my first time using them. Their reviews were excellent. We didn t have an appointment but Chris understood our need to get this Pilot fixed. Kehoe had our car fixed in about 6 hours total.We were more than pleased with the service they provided. Kehoe let us use a loaner car while the work was being done as well. All in all with the alternator being replaced and an oil change, the price was more than reasonable. Chris and the gang had us up and running again in less than a day. I highly recommend using Kehoe for your next automotive repairs or service. Thx again for your help in my situation. I couldn t have asked for a better outcome. I had multiple warnings for my daughter's car, including engine and transmission. I found Kehoe on Google, they had excellent reviews online and so I called for general info. Dave was very knowledgeable and professional and they were clear on what they could do after diagnostic check. They also found an electrical issue with the headlights and a faulty tire sensor. They gave clear expectations when work could be completed and competitive pricing. I will definitely go back if i have any other issues with the car.Services: Transmission, Electrical, Oil change

Chris has the best attitude, he s very respectful and he gets the job done. He was also very informative. My only issue is the coworker he has is very disrespectful and flip lipped. I made a statement on my cars performance while he was in it and he screamed how if I didn t like it I could get my car n leave with it as is, also throwing in on how he is such a mechanical professional. I d recommend Chris in a heart beat, but if the coworkers involved I ll go somewhere else. Also pretty good pricing for the work I had done.

I dearly love my 2007 car. I'm trying to make him last as long as possible and I really appreciate the sage advice that Dave me. He was honest when I asked him what he would do. He asked a few questions and we made what I thought were the best choices for my car. I thought the prices were very reasonable and my car was finished promptly. I ve been to Kehoe Auto Repair twice now. Once for general maintenance and the most recent for a check engine light that needed further inspection. Each visit has been prompt and Chris and David are always professional, and polite. They provide clear explanations on their services and have always been fair on price with me. If you re looking for a great local mechanic I would give them a shot. Best service in the area in my opinion.

I had to edit this review from 5 stars to 2 stars because of a few reasons. But in summary, every time I have gone to Kehoe for anything other than an oil change, they seem to be unable to/incapable of accurately diagnosing the issue (I drive a 2012 Toyota Prius, so it will have a digital log of error codes they can use to troubleshoot/narrow down what and where the potential broken/malfunctioning component is).I have gone to them 2 times for things outside an oil change, and each time they dropped the ball. The first was when they thought that one or more of my engines cylinders were misfiring, so they tried to do replacements and swaps of different cylinders to see if that would fix the issue, and when it didn t, they wanted to then swap out the fuel injectors I still got charged for an amount that I cannot currently remember, but it was relatively expensive. I then decided to take the car to the dealership it was bought from (Toyota of Dekalb). The dealership fixed the issue (to which, while it was still expensive, they were willing to give me a discount), as apparently, I had blown my engines gasket I don t work on cars, so I don t know all the difficulties in troubleshooting car repairs, but Kehoe not being able to deduce this seems off to me.The second time was just in these last couple weeks. I had my orange traction light, red break light, and orange ABS light all come on at the same time, semi-inconsistently at first. This was also accompanied by my ability to break being slightly impaired when the lights did come on. When I brought my car back to Kehoe, at first they couldn t diagnose the issue, and said they would need more time. Which is fine, no problem there. Then after keeping the car for 2 days, they called me right as they were closing on a Friday night and said that they are 85% sure that it is an ABS pump issue. When I asked how much that would cost, they quoted me at $2,800, but that because they weren t 100% sure, they were hesitant to do such an expensive repair.When I called another local repair place (Maas Auto in Countryside Illinois. My entire family used to always go here until we all moved to different cities further away) they said that while they wouldn t be able to do an ABS replacement on my car, they couldn t find a reason for the repair to cost more than $1,700 then when I called the dealership, they estimated that if it actually was an issue with the ABS pump, it would cost me $1,400 .half the price of what Kehoe had quoted me .When I mentioned to the supervisor I had on the phone how much I was originally quoted, he had audibly gasped. So upon arriving at the dealership, they only took a couple hours to diagnose the issue, and you know what it was? As it certainly wasn t an ABS pump issue! But instead, it was a wheel bearing issue and speed reader malfunction on my back left wheel, which in total costed me just over 900 dollars, which was brought up to just over 1,000 dollars from a few other fees and taxes.Look I work in an industry that is literally just troubleshooting allll the time. So I get that car repairs can be a difficult job, and that if you don t have experience with something, it makes it hard to diagnose the issue without first doing your research. I m just a bit upset that I was vastly over quoted on an ABS pump repair only for that to not even be the issue. And Chris (the owner and who I mostly interacted with) *seems* like a great guy, and like he s running a good and honest business, but I can t help but wonder if these consistent instances of inaccurate repairs/diagnoses and the overtly over-quoting of repairs are due to either him attempting to scam someone who doesn t know anything about cars, or if it s just pure negligence/ignorance when it comes to hybrid cars which doesn t make sense since never were any of my issues that I came to him for specific to a hybrid car only component. The issues were things that could always occur on other non hybrid cars.So overall, I like Chris, but I can t logically say that his business is one I can trust anymore.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

The technicians here are very knowledgeable! I had a review done on my car from a Honda dealer and they said I had trans issues, strut issues, and said my tires were ok but needed a rotation. I went to this Kehoe for a second look and they noted that the trans is fine, struts are in good order and that I needed to replace my tires! Chris was great called them after going to the dealership for a transmission pan gasket replacement which the dealer was trying to charge almost 800. Chris saved me over 400 bucks and did great work recommend Kehoe automotive to anyone

I have used Kehoe for years and I don't believe that I have had a bad experience. I had my brakes replaced, coolant flush and an oil change. They let me know ahead of time what my cost would be for the work performed. I went to Kehoe Auto Repair for rear brakes. IReceived a clear quote up front from Dave. He also, gave me a lot of information about brakes. On the day I had the work completed, Chris, the owner, drove me home & picked me up when the car was ready. I went to this place because I had some front end work done and still had noises coming from my car. The previous mechanics couldn't find the issue. They also said oh Chrysler 300's are infamous for front end suspension issues you may have to just deal with it. I took Kehoe and oh man!! Dave came out on a cane and when he spoke I felt like I was in the presence of the Master Yoda of mechanics. He drove my car, diagnosed it , dropped me off at home, and called to confirmed the repairs and cost before doing them. By the afternoon he was done! My car is as quiet as when I first bought it! The price was reasonable and Dave was very honest and trustworthy. I went to Kehoe because of the reviews. Best decision I ever made. Thank guys!Service: Steering & suspension replacement
