Don was extremely helpful in getting our car repaired after someone hit it in our church parking lot. His office dealt with the insurance company and handled everything for us. He did a great job on the repairs in a timely manner and our car looks brand new. I would highly recommend Gary Auto.

This was one of the smoothest car repair experiences I've had. Everyone was very nice and my bumper was fixed within a week. Can't speak much to pricing because I went through my insurance, but when I looked at the estimate I didn't see anything too crazy. Outstanding work! Impossible to tell there was anything done . The cost was very reasonable. HIGHLY recommended. For this reason they are very busy. You may need to wait, but it is worth it!

Don and Holly gave me a straight answers and no issues. My vehicle was fixed within two days and they did an excellent job. Any further body work to my vehicle will be directed straight to their shop. Great people as well. Update: We have used Gary Auto Body for a FOURTH time after now hitting a deer. The owners, Don and Holly, provide great service and are always very accommodating. They handled all follow-up communication with the insurance company. We have been very pleased with the body work performed on our vehicles and will continue to use Gary Auto Body for any future needs (but hoping our vehicles don't get hit again!). This is one of the best small businesses!

Great car shop! I walked in without an appointment to get an estimate for my broken mirror to be fixed. I wasn t expecting them to just take it back and fix it right then and there! Fast service, even better result than I expected and friendly and professional staff. I wish I could give them MORE stars!!

Gary Auto body did an incredible job on our 2020 Honda Accord. The body shop we used to use, couldn't take our car because they didn't have the availability of an advanced level welder to work on the damage to the quarter panel. Thanks to online reviews we picked Gary Auto Body and were super pleased with the perfect job on our vehicle repair. They even cleaned the inside of my car, which we have never had done for us before with other auto body repair shops. I hope we don't have to see them soon, but we will bring our cars back here if they need body repair. I highly recommend them for service and quality.

I called Gary Auto Body after another driver veered into my lane and hit my van. They were SO helpful and kind throughout the entire process! The insurance companies were being difficult but the folks at Gary Auto Body talked to adjusters for me, filed insurance paperwork, gave me great advice, and were SO helpful in getting me a fair deal from insurance. Seriously, they know what they're doing and they do it well. I'm SO grateful for their help!Service: Body & Trim

My car sustained significant front bumper damage along with a headlight casing damage, but once we put our car in the shop they were able to restore the structure of the car as if it was straight out of the manufacturer. We can honestly say that this is the friendliest and most approachable auto body shop in the area and they deserve more than 5 stars with the unbelievable effort and hard work they put in to restore cars to their previous state. They work with State Farm so if your insurance claim is with through State Farm, the process is really easy and they will take good care of you. They keep you informed in every step of the repair and will also clean your car before delivery. There were no delays as long as the car parts don't get delayed. We really appreciate the fact that they are Mustang owners and they really care about the cars that go through their shops. We highly recommend this place!Service: Body & Trim

In this day of Corporations and Franchises, it's nice to know that quality Family owned businesses like Gary Auto Body still exist. I've brought one our cars here over 15 years ago for body work and I was impressed back then. Since then, we were fortunate not to need any body work until a few months ago when we were involved in an accident with one of our newer vehicles. Once they inspected the damage, it took 5 days to get the parts and the car was repaired within the week. Not only does it look good as new, they also cleaned the car inside and out as if it was detailed. As for Customer Relations, I have not dealt with such friendly and polite business owners in years! I strongly recommend this body shop.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Holly and Don are amazing! My car had damage that was from another accident and somehow insurance covered it all. If I went to another shop I m pretty sure that wouldn t have happened. Again and again I am so impressed with the outstanding level of service we receive from Gary Auto Body. We have been bringing our cars here for over 10 years and the work done always exceeds our expectations. I appreciate the honesty and workmanship in all they do and greatly value being able to bring our cars to a place we trust, knowing the price will be fair and everything will be done just as Don says it will, that I will get a phone call if anything changes or needs to be discussed and it will all truly be in our best interest. And they always leave our car better than they found it - today we brought our car in for a small, inexpensive dent bump out and to remove some paint scratches and picked it up to find they had buffed out all the scratches and washed the car too! Just can t say enough!

Gary Auto Body gave great service, and showed me great patience. They were accommodating during the COVID-19, and remembered me when I was able to get my car in for repair. The did a phenomenal job, and made sure of the quality before I picked my car up. I appreciate the service I received from Gary Auto, and feel they should have a 5Start rating. I was hit in the passenger front quarter panel and received a minor dent and some scratches. I took it to Gary Auto Body because they were close and have good reviews, I also like that they have been in business for a long time. Wow! Don and his wife, Holly, are so friendly and professional! It was a pleasure to get my car back and find that, not only was it cleaned and vacuumed, it was repaired to new! They even tightened the steering and brakes, worked seamlessly with insurance and Enterprise Car Rental! I am impressed and will tell everyone I know about Gary Auto Body in Carol Stream!

Gary Auto Body did high quality repair work on my car after it was in an accident. They had the car done when they promised and it looked like new and the inside was sparkling clean too. Brought my car in with some body and frame damage, and made a deal that day for a $200 cash repair.Came back that afternoon, and I was more than impressed at the work they were able to do with that amount. The wheel well was coated with an anti-rust polymer, the dent was pulled out nicely, the door still worked, and the suspension or body was not compromised.Best investment in affordable and effective repair I've made since a friend crashed my car. Highly recommended.

I took my car to Gary Auto Body due to an accident where my rear driver's side door was backed into. The team took pictures of the damage and started a search for a replacement door. Once it arrived I dropped off the car and they replaced the damaged door and blended the paint so well it looks like the door has been on the car from day one. The work was professional and easy to work with. If I ever have any body work needs in the future I'll be returning.

A deer hit my daughter's car earlier this summer, and since the vehicle is 14 years old, repair was a big question mark! Went there for an estimate for a simple dent on my door. They said that they cannot give me an estimate without without dismantling a number of major parts like my bumper and front fender which aren t related to my door damage. Of course they will charge me $$$ for putting them back just to get an estimate. Other competitors can just look at this simple damage and give me an estimate. I said forget it!! Buyer beware!

We only use Gary Auto Body. We have had 4 cars worked on here. They are very fair and will make sure your insurance company is approving the right repairs. I was rear ended by a hit and run, my car was brand new and only had 1000 miles on it and my insurance tried to use after market parts Don fought my insurance and got them to cover Chevy parts for my new car.
