MARK, the owner of this business has a great team of guys working with/for him. This is a 5 star business.I have been taking my vehicle to this company for the past 4 years, Mark and his team are always polite, friendly, and give great customer service.I have never had any issues with the work they performed on my vehicle and the pricing of product(s) and labor has always seemed fair, Any time I have had issues with my vehicle I have been able to contact Mark, Fred, JJ or any one of the employees and they listen to my concern(s) and have always provided answers and or prompt service. I recommend DUPAGE AUTO & TRUCK. 100% I have sent other people I know and they have received the same awesome service. I have been telling all the people I work with about the service and quality of care I have received from Mark and his team.Thank a million .

We have been customers at DuPage Auto for almost 20 years. We have never taken our Tahoes anywhere else. We trust Fred. He is honest, and always is there for us in a pinch or when we're in need of car repair or advice. Just today we had a tire losing air from a screw stuck in it. Fred had it patched up and ready to go on the spot so we still could use the car to get to work tomorrow and not have to scramble for a ride.

This is the best mechanic in the area, reasonably priced, honest, & fix cars super quickly! I was referred to this office by a co-worker & we are staying with DuPage Auto! Wendy, Fred, & JJ do an incredible job! Highly recommend :)

Brought my truck to another shop to balance my dually wheels and couldn t do it and said something wrong with my wheel leaving me vibrating down the road. Called around to explain my situation and they knew just what needed to be done. Guys at Dupage auto and truck repair took the time to balance out each while perfectly. Even rotating and remounting tires to get it just right! Nice and smooth! I ll be back!

I recently purchased a car and needed an independent evaluation of the engine. I saw a strange looking part and wanted to know what it was. I called two other nearby places that wanted to charge me $125 and $65 to look at it, but DuPage Auto & Truck Repair told me to just bring it by and we'll take a look at it for free!!! Come to find out the part was fine and the engine checked out. Now me and my family will choose to bring all our automobile needs here. I wondered why my 1-star review and the dozens of other 1-star reviews disappeared until I looked back over my reviews; DuPage Auto was changed to "Closed Corporation" in my history, and my review was deleted. They started a new Google page instead. Not sure what shenanigans they pulled to influence and delete their Google reviews, but it must have been easier than addressing all of their complaints. We had been a customer for close to ten years. When Greg left and we were dealing with the owner, he jerry-rigged our brake wiring and caused the transmission to downshift when we took our foot off the gas. He said he ran all new wires, but just tapped power to the nearest wire. and left the rest. It fooled our ECM and caused all kinds of problems. When confronted, he just gave a blank stare and said there was nothing he could do. Took it to another mechanic and they explained what had been done and fixed it the right way for less than DuPage charged us originally for their careless work.

This shop is the cleanest and most professionally-run shop I've ever taken my cars to. Fred is one of the most honest and fairest business owners you would ever meet. My car's issue was tricky--the transmission shudder required a process of elimination approach. I was very impressed with Fred's thought process and how he kept me abreast throughout the whole diagnosis and repair processes. Thanks to Fred and his mechanics for resolving the issue for a very reasonable price and without having to replace the transmission, which is what other shops have recommended.

They were recommended on NextDoor by a customer. I called Fred the day before and explained my issue. He told me he could help, but would need to see the car first. I came in this morning, was greeted and signed-in quickly. I thought it was a minor issue, and they said it was, made the repair, and I was out of the shop in under 30 minutes! Affordable, fair pricing, clean, large, waiting area with lots of chairs, WiFi, and a big screen TV. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Fast service. Honest and great pricing. Make this your new ship. Here's why:Moved to the area looking for a new shop. I'm NOT a fan of chain service shops due to inconsistent, non personal service, and constant up sale attempts. So I wanted to find a local shop with experience to be my new go to.These guys are honest about what things cost, why they need to do certain work (or not) and what to expect.While waiting for my oil change, I was able to witness interactions with a few new and existing customers with one big thing in common: they care about what the customer needs and wants not what they can make money from. From helping them with how to deal with insurance, expectations for buying a used car, advice on fixing up an old car for a new young driver.Point is I went in for an oil change. It took about 20 minutes and was reasonably priced without needing coupons or discounts cards and I was never asked to upgrade my oil or that I needed anything to be replaced that really didn't. Kind of how an oil change should go.

I've been going there for about a year now.I've usually done a fair amount of my own work, or always had a mechanic friend to help with more of the more complex repairs due to lack of space, time, experience or tools.They do great work at reasonable prices, and won't add unnecessary items unless it's necessary or needs attention. Of course, not without notifying you.I came here on several word of mouth recommendations and I'm very pleased with the service they've provided to myself and family.

Jul of 2020, I was hit by another driver causing damage to my truck. Luckily he had insurance to cover my damages, however the shop managing in the initial repairs caused new problems and refused to take responsibility for them.. Two of the specific problems, they could not figure out the cause. I called around to other shops trying to find someone who could help. After only a 10 min call to Mark, he immediately suggested I try a larger fuse which fixed the first problem almost immediately! I knew these guys know what they are doing. I decided to bring my truck to Dupage Auto Truck Repair to see if they could fix the other problem, and they were able to get to the bottom of it quickly and easily. This shop has my business from here on out. They are reasonably priced and do great work. If you are looking for a good mechanic that you can trust, call these guys from the start! I wish I had!

I've had DuPage Auto do the maintenance on my van for years and they are friendly, helpful, and I trust them to do the work that needs to be done on my van without recommending unnecessary repairs. Straight forward, honest service. Thought I had a problem with a vehicle a couple weeks ago, Mark and his staff took care of it quickly and didn t charge for some minor repairs that they took care of. Keep doing what you re doing DuPage, you ve earned a lifelong customer!

Fred is always fair. Just had new tires put on. Excellent service, great pricing. While I sat in the waiting area, I saw the owner do a minor repair for an elderly person.When she asked how much I owe you, they said "don't worry about it".They did the work for them for Free. That never happens...anywhere!!

I'll never go anywhere else to service my car. These people are amazing!I walked in a few days ago with a short list of expensive things that other mechanics had told me to fix. I was unsure of some of the recommendations and I wanted a second opinion.This place looked over my car thoroughly and informed me that everything was in fine working order. Some of the recommendations from the other mechanics were total garbage. And, the other recommendations could be postponed several months without any danger. I thought that I would have a bill in excess of $500. Instead, I was sent away without owing them anything! In two months, I'll be back for the fixes that actually do need to take place. They were interested in me getting as much use out of the current parts as is safely possible. What sort of mechanic is so interested in your best interest that they'd advise you to wait two months? These guys.I honestly believe that they only recommend repairs that they would recommend for themselves or their families. Seriously... it was like I was a family member.Their prices are very low. But, even if you can find a place that is slightly cheaper, you'll save money by going to these guys because they won't ever recommend a repair that you don't actually need.They're the most ethical mechanics I've ever met.I'd gladly drive across several states just to ensure that they look at my car. I trust them completely.

Fred and his wife Wendy are terrific! It's always a challenge to find a good mechanic you can trust. My wife and I needed someone who could keep a car running safely on the road, but without breaking the bank making unnecessary repairs. Fred and his team always take great care of us, and have been remarkably generous!

This place has always been fantastic and has the nicest, most honest mechanics you'll ever meet.First learned about DATR over a decade ago when a teacher friend called them because her parking brake on her old minivan was stuck in the freezing cold of IL.Not only did this place come and tow her over to their shop after hours, and then fix the issue (again, after hours), but they charged her only a fraction of what any other place might have charged her.We've since taken our cars there for any other issues and they've never tried to upsell us, ALWAYS charge us fairly, and have always been extremely courteous and understanding.Simply put: Now that you've read this review, if you choose to go elsewhere and aren't happy with the service or cost at the other place, you've only yourself to blame, because I tried to tell you!

I had a problem with the emissions on my 2003 Honda Accord. It failed the initial test. I started with the dealer, and they were absolutely no help. I brought it in to DuPage Auto & Truck Repair, and based on the information from the failed test, Greg was almost certain about the part it needed and the repair that needed to be done. Sure enough, they were able to fix it very quickly, and my car then passed the emissions test. Greg is very knowledgeable, and this repair shop is very professional and priced reasonably. We will be returning for all of our auto repairs and maintenance!

I started taking my work vehicles here earlier this year. I have never had an issue with the repair or pricing. Greg explains everything up front and delivers when he promises. I highly recommend DuPage Auto & Truck Repair!

Greg is the best! I have dropped my car off here a few times for oil changes and other issues and he always does a great job getting it back to me as soon as possible and keeps me updated the whole time it's in the shop.

Fred and his team, repair only what is needed and they do not make mistakes finding the problem or what is needed to be repaired. I have been working with Fred for over 18 years with all my vehicles. Always fair and fast to take care of you.

Serviced my truck (2005 Nissan Xterra) quick and complete! Had to tow it and they came to pick it up with their shop tow. Better than dealer pricing for better than dealer service and peace of mind. Will recommend and use again.

It was time for my Subaru to go in for repairs I thought. It was kind of sputtering and just not acting like it does usually. Of course I wouldn't go any where else other than Dupage Auto, and geez, I've never reviewed them on Google! When you find an honest person, and a company that's run with honor especially in this day & age; well, you stick with them. I live in Wonder Lake, IL which is so close to WI it might be easier to find a shop closer to home. I'd rather drive the 1.5 hours to Fred Zobel's, Dupage Auto, at least I know I will be treated honestly and the work they do is truly second to none. My Subaru is nearly 16 years young, and still going strong thanks to Fred & his team!!! Thank You!!!!!

fred and bob are awesome guys! they always take care of my frankincar and were even willing to work on my hearse. fair prices and quality work. i always recommended them to everyone i know.
