I'm so thankful for this small town business and the wonderful service we received! I got my tires rotated somewhere else and they said I need to get my tires aligned. My husband called Carlock Auto Service Center up late in the afternoon and they got us in first thing that morning. It was such a relief to have that all fixed and taken care of quickly and it was affordable. Thank you!

Nothing worse than driving down the highway and hearing screeching coming from your vehicle. I m beyond thankful for Bill and Parker. With zero hesitation they fixed my exhaust pipe that had fallen and all within minutes of closing. Thank you again guys!

In this day and age, I never thought I could find such a friendly helpful business. Parker came out to my car in the freezing cold... Told me " it's ok, you can wait on the car". And filled up my tires with air FOR FREE. I can not speak highly enough of this place. Thank you guys so much.

We were traveling through and had a front wheel bearing go out on our truck. They bent over backwards to get us in, get the problem diagnosed and get it fixed. All this was in the span of about five hours. They even gave me a courtesy vehicle to drive. Small town America is still the best. I'd recommend them to anyone, great job!Service: Steering & suspension replacementService: Steering & suspension replacement

Got a nail in my tire on 74. I was moving and couldn't get to the spare or the jack because the Suburban was fully loaded. The tire was not completely flat and I made it to Carlocks. They had me back on the road in no time! Very fast, very friendly , Fair price! Good people!Service: TiresService: Tires

The attendants are very helpful and approachable. For a small shop, I see them handle a large volume of business. Thankful that we have an auto shop in our little town, but especially because of their service with a smile!

Great place to bring your lifted rigs. Bill has been in the off road scene and has always done great work on my Rubicon as well as given me ideas and suggestions to improve my rig. They do great work and are competitively priced. Highly recommended.

Very small convince area with basic items. Narrow hallway to the bathrooms. The 2 are single stalls and typically fairly clean. Would be difficult for a wheelchair.

Just stopped at this place on our cross country trip from the East Coast. We were having an issue in our car with water collecting on the floor. I went inside and explained the situation. Charlie helped us right away. He was kind, polite, knowledgeable, and fixed us up right away. Even gave us a handful of shop towels to dry up the car. 5 star service.

I was driving from Cedar Rapids, IA to Knoxville, TN. Down on my luck, bad break up with the Mrs. about 8 hours ago, just trying to get back to TN where I m from to have my family s support through this difficult time! Everything I own in my car. Having to overdraft my debit card for the gas money to get home and with only $3 cash to my name. 3 hours into my trip I find out that my radiator head has a crack in it. A driver down the road at the interstate exit saw me with my hood up and my car overheating and recommended that if I could make it another mile down the road that I should go to Carlock Auto Service Center and ask for Bill and I did. As soon as I walked inside the door I saw a couple of employees talking and I asked for Bill. A friendly gentleman said that he was indeed Bill. I explained my situation to Bill as written about above (that I was experiencing life difficulties and had no money to pay him with)! I asked him if he had any high temperature sealant that I could use to temporarily patch the crack in my radiator with (for at least a hope and a prayer of me possibly being able to drive another 8 hours down the road to Knoxville, TN)! Mr. Bill, courteous, friendly, polite, and a true professional said that he most likely had something that could possibly patch the crack long enough for me to get home. He of course informed me that it would ultimately have to be replaced and that there was definitely no guarantee that the patch would hold all of the way home to TN! Considering that Bill was (without hesitation) willing to help out a stranger in need and without any money, I told him that I would be truly grateful for his help and any chance of making it home. Even if on a wing and a prayer! The Technician Charlie spent an hour or more patching and repairing my radiator, adding stop leak, and coolant to it. Short of replacing the entire radiator he did everything that he possibly could do to help get me home! He also checked to see if there were any other issues that could possibly give me future problems on my trip. Charlie went above and beyond and treated me and my car as if I were a paying client. Matter of fact I can t imagine anything more that he could have done for me considering my predicament. He really went above and beyond!!! Trust me when I say that they are very skilled, knowledgeable, and more than capable fixing your vehicle right the first time at Carlock Auto Service Center! I can t say enough about how thankful and grateful I am for their kindness and generosity! To Bill and Charlie and the staff at Carlock Auto Service Center, from the bottom of my heart thank you so very very much! May God bless you all! Thanks James!Service: Auto water leak repair

I work for a concrete finishing company, on a relatively tight schedule. We were on our way from Bloomington, IL to Maplteton when about a mile before the Carlock exit, I was flagged down by a passerby alerting me to a flat tire on my trailer. Now any smart man would ve been sure to have a spare, but being that we ve recently replaced tires and haven t gotten more, we were out of luck. We limped it up to the exit to find a solution, which is exactly what happened. We pulled into the BP gas station off the exit not even realizing we d found a repair shop. althought we were there before they opened Bill was waiting at the counter smiling like he expected us. He us pull the tire off before he opened and had it switched within 10 minutes of opening. Went from thinking we would be put back hours to only hav Not about a 30 minute delay! What a life saver, if you re even around Carlock and in need of Auto Repair, go to Bill!Services: Tires, Auto tire replacement, Auto maintenance

Said they had emissions testing so I drove 35 minutes to get there only to have the guy tell me he didn't know how to do it and to come in the next day. Next day comes around and I call the place and I guess they don't even do emissions testing.

I took my truck in to have a tire patched. I've had a slow leak for the past month and have been monitoring the pressure daily and filling the tire about every 3-4 days. I tried to fix the leak with slime sealant with no luck. I got tired of having to top the tire off and decided to get it fixed. The tire was able to be repaired by Carlock Auto Service Center but they found that the tire pressure sensor didn't work. They called to make sure I wanted the sensor repaired. I decided to have them fix it. They said the slime in the tire caused the sensor to not work. The sensor worked when I checked the tire pressure before I drove it 5 minutes to the service center. I even checked the sensor against my air compressor gauge when I topped the tire off with air before I drove it to Carlock. Not sure how the sensor stopped functioning from the time I drove my truck to the auto center and the time they patched the tire.Service: Tires

Bill the owner seems real knowledgeable and honest. Janel at the service desk gives great customer service and has a good relationship with their parts suppliers. She was a lot of fun for our bored toddler as well. We are driving through town on a move and need help with our brakes on one rig and decided to have them help us install our rancho shocks and a steering dampener on the other rig. They have been very helpful and accommodating. Got us in right away and did their best to get us fixed in a jiffy! Service was a bit expensive on the shocks and dampener install (no stuck fasteners as they were nearly new shocks to begin with, just slow), and their tech left some footprints on our previously clean ford excursion s floor mat, but he was friendly and they were all hospitable and nice. Overall good but expensive experience and was close to the campground we were stuck at. Would ve been five star had it not been for the excursions floor mat and had the shocks and steering dampener been a bit more reasonable install. Kicking myself for not just installing those myself, oh well live and learn. They were fair with our other vehicle cost of service. Good prices on diesel fuel at the pumps in back, plenty of room to navigate trailers. This place used to be called Yoder s but it has since changed owners and names. Good place to go and they are honest.

Anytime I need help with my vehicle, Bill is always willing to assist in any way possible. He stayed late to help me with a tire and I was so grateful. It feels like a small town shop where everyone is so caring and fun to be around. Always willing to help and of course he is easy on the eyes.

I feel so comfortable taking my Nissan to Tom for repairs. He has shown me that he can be trusted. Where can you find that anymore? I'm very grateful to find a place that treats you well and actually knows what they are doing. Thank you for the GREAT service you have provided me.

The "Too long; Didn't Read" Synopsis:They will only finish the job or fix their own mistakes *if* you pop open the hood and catch them yourself. They'll throw sensors away, use solder to bypass them for their own convenience, and will not tell you - it is your duty to discover this yourself. The Story: I brought the SUV in 24 days ago, (retrieved it today) needing my idler pulley and serpentine belt replaced. I explained to the secretary over the phone and their shop attendant in person, that if this repair goes well I would have them do more repairs at their discretion - maybe requesting they bring the SUV up to full operating condition so it would last a good while longer. The next call I get from the shop, I am given a quote that includes all of the above. It is just above a grand, I was busy and agreed to it, it would get done eventually somewhere. I initially only asked for the belt and pulley to get going again, though. While the shop had the vehicle for a while, they felt the parking brake could not be fixed without an additional 490+ dollars, I agreed to it over the phone (the parking brake is a safety device and is needed). This is the last time I get a call actually returned from their front desk. The parking brake ultimately cost me $1,000 in parts and labor. I get a call that the work order is closed and that I can come and get it. Upon paying over $1,600 dollars to get the keys, I pop the hood to check the fluids, I find the fuse box open and mashed, a used tube of epoxy sitting on the plastic fan shroud, coolant atop the wheel well, and upon a closer look - I find where that tube of epoxy was used. The coolant overflow reservoir was damaged *while replacing the pulley and belt* - *and it's accompanying sensor was thrown in the trash while replacing my serpentine belt and pulley*. The shop crew then used epoxy to seal the hole where my sensor used to be - and then used a soldering iron to bypass the sensor itself altogether!! I was extremely upset about this, but after speaking with the owner of the shop, I was assured the sensor would be ordered and replaced. (I later asked that the epoxied reservoir be replaced once I realized that if the shop had to use epoxy on it initially, there is no way to get a sensor back in the epoxied hole without **MORE EPOXY**) Upon test driving the SUV immediately afterwards, I found that nearly everything I had asked to be done, was not finished. I drove the vehicle to a Target parking lot and applied the parking brake with the vehicle in neutral and let off the brake - the vehicle rolled forward through the *flat* lot until I stopped it. The front end and suspension of the vehicle still rocked and made the same noises as it had before, despite them supposedly replacing one part (I asked that they diagnose, quote, and fix whatever was necessary). Only after complaining about the incomplete poor work did I find that there was a loaner vehicle available upon request - I had missed not only my little brother and also little sister's birthdays, but also Father's day while waiting patiently for this sub-par expensive embarrassment that I do not even know what to call. I then call ahead and speak with the owner, requesting that his shop spend more time with the vehicle, and he obliges. I return my car and grab the loaner car. I call twice asking about the progress of the vehicle's work and am never called back. Today I call and ask if I can pick the vehicle up-the secretary acts like I should have grabbed it the day before!? I come back to the shop to pick up the vehicle and catch the owner. Asking him he explains that he tweaked the e-brake, and replaced the parts they broke. No mention of the front end. I ask about a partial refund on the piss-poor labor I paid so much for, and I am treated as if *I am* the crook in this scenario!? I don't even care about the refund, I just wanted to be able to tell my coworkers that Carlock Auto Servicenter wrapped this story up responsibly before I rolled out of their lot - and dammit, I can not.

It is wonderful to have this quality service center close to where we live. The service is great and even when we gave them a challenge they don't ordinarily come across, they found out how to fix our problem! In fact, it is worth the drive out to Carlock to get your auto fixed or serviced. You can wait at the Carlock Family restaurant next door if it takes a few hours.

I Broke down with my flatbed tow truck on I-74 I asked Bill if I could leave my truck at his location over the weekend so I can get parts and repair it. Bill let me store my truck and I repaired it on his property. Great friendly place.

Carlock Auto Service always provides amazing service, but last week they went way above and beyond. We were pulling a large gooseneck trailer and experienced a breakdown nearby. Despite being extremely busy, they jumped in, diagnosed the issues, expedited parts, and had the problem fixed within a few hours. For future service, I will not go anywhere else!
