We had the most delicious breakfast here on Monday. On Thursday we returned to eat here as we liked it so much. As we walked up at 10:24am, a couple was walking out to their car. A small group was sitting at a table on the front porch when one of the women sitting there said , We don t open until 11:00. Their website says open from 7:00-2:00. Hmmmm

They always have delicious pies for dessert and the burgers are also great. every time I go back home I try to get lunch here. Great place to eat in a great little town and the ladies that run this joint are a class act. This is definitely a place to stop in to if you are a tourist visiting Bishop Hill or a local just looking for a nice lunch!!

Breakfast , lunch , for dinner. You'll never go wrong. It's all homemade food nothing out of the can. Best pies in Henry county! This place is busy all the time there is indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is served with a smile.

This is a very unique place to eat. Food is great. Service was good. The prices were excellent. We ate under the shade trees which cover the patio.

Wonderful little restaurant in Bishop hill. Down home cooking and prices are very reasonable. Locally owned too. Great little place to fill your tummy up while visiting and service is wonderful.

If you're in the mood for some good food with a down home vibe, you'll find it at the Filling Station. The burgers are hand pattied and very juicy. You'll find Daily specials and homemade pies as well. If you're in Bishop Hill give it a try and enjoy dining with the locals.

This restaurant, and town, has been a very strange experience. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We came up here for lunch and didn't really enjoy ourselves. Tried to ask questions and literally got ignored.

Filling Station303 Bishop Hill RdBishop Hill IL 61419We had planned on going to a place for brunch for Easter. However while visiting Bishop Hill one day my wife noticed a sign for Easter lunch here and I knew my plans had changed. I had heard that this restaurant was run by several generations of women from the same family and that they were cooking up some good old fashioned home cooking. Believe me they lived up to my expectations and more.There was no menu choices, just what they were cooking you were eating. We started off with a salad that had a nice mildly sweet dressing then for the main course; ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans and rye bread. It doesn t get more Easter than that. Everything was prepared perfectly you d have trouble doing it this well at home. The ham was terrifically moist with creamy mashed potatoes with dreamy gravy. The maple infused sweet potatoes were a perfect match for the ham. The glazed carrots and fresh green beans not only added flavor but color as well. Bishop Hill is Swedish and the Swedish Rye Bread is worth the trip alone. If all of that wasn t enough they had a myriad of pie choices. All of the contenders were represented and I love warm raspberry pie, tart and fruity delicious but this time I went a la mode for a little sweetness. I also must mention they are more than reasonably priced 3 adults and 2 children and all of that food for $58.95According To The Big Food Jerk.This place is quaint and wonderful. This is one of those places where my words and clich�s don t do it justice. You must go and experience it for yourself. I recommend them with my highest regards!

Just stopped in for coffee while riding my bike. I have heard that the food is pretty good. The wait staff where very nice!

Very nice country food and decor. I had chicken salad with chips. My friend had Philly cheese steak, which was too far from Philly, not the real thing. His fault!

We love the Filling Station, it's staff and food. It's a step back in time visiting Bishop Hill. My favorite is Breakfast with Swedish Pancakes!

An absolutely wonderful homemade meal with great desserts at an excellent price with great people!! Would return in a heart beat for every meal.
