Have taken both of our cars to this shop in the last couple years. Timeframe and prices were fine given what was needed to be done. If paying cash, there was always a little discount. Sadly, On our most recent visit this past week we unfortunately had damage to our car. When brought up to the owner or manager Martin, it was stated there was new temp guys working & footage had to be reviewed. Was given his word he d look into it & if it was them, they d take responsibility. Well we are hitting the one week mark and not once have they reached out. Both times we ve reached out it was we are waiting for the footage and now have your insurance contact us . Such a frustrating situation & really makes you want to start looking elsewhere for car repairs.

First time here. Recommend from a close friend. Spoke to Alex and Chuy. Very cool people very trust worthy and honest. Did a great job on welding and had great customer service. They take their time but the wait is worth it !

AVOID! They overcharge by 3x more than other places. These scammers don't deserve any business and will scam people who don't know much about cars and women.

They added muffler tips to my dodge charger. Cost $120. Great customer service. Really nice people. They make you feel at home. Very honest and reasonable. If I have any other muffler issues or modifications, I'm definitely coming back here. Very happy with them. They are bilingual (Spanish-English).

This is the absolute best muffler shop and mechanic place around. They are honest. I have an old truck and the air went out and I was quoted 3 times the price for a new compressor when a used was perfect and hasn t had a problem in a year. Martin and Danny are always easy to work with and can fix anything. It s hard to find great mechanics who don t try to bleed you. Customer Service is the best! Try them! You won t be going anywhere else.

I highly recommended this business. They are very nice, knowledgeable and informative about what needs to repaired. Their prices are very fair and they will try to work with your money situation. Love this place.They have worked in all my cars and they do a super super great job. The mechanics are very professional, very nice and very friendly. If you ever need a great mechanic this is the right place. Martin and Daniel are the best. They offer great prices and they work with you in anything. It is very recommended from my end.

I had just gotten into a car accident and had my car towed here, they were being nice and open at first. As soon as I left I had to wait a week before I heard anything from them and that s because I called them, only to find out they haven t done anything, told me a different amount than what they told the insurance once I let them know I was going to be using insurance. Then they waited another few days and told me it was because they gave the mechanical estimate and not the body estimate. It had been 2 weeks and they haven t even touched my car. I just had to have it moved to a different auto shop at that point.

They will give you the best serviceAnd find the source of the problem, within 20, or 30 minutes.Look no more... you Can take your vehicle to another, auto mechanic place, by the time that other place find the problem, in your car you might have spent $$$$. of, what you might be paying to this place.Their diagnostic are very accurate. You will get a warranty , for all theWork, done in your carThe mechanics, are attentive, and very respectful. They will alwaystake the time to explain to the costumer, the problem with theirCar. They checked out the brakes on 4X4 and wanted to charge me more then double the quoted price. Took 30 minutes to put wheels back on and stripped the bolts on the hubs.

Took my mom's car to get her ready for the winter, Two days later I'm writing this review because the car is running like brand new. the team was honest, detailed and FAST! They WORK HARD and do a great job!

When I first purchased my 04 Mustang, The tire blew out on me and I was calling every place in town for a price estimate on tires. I was getting quotes for $500-$2000 for one tire, or all. I was stunned. I called American Mufflers as my last hope, and they quoted me about $400 for all tires. New. When I took my car in to get the tires, they asked if I wanted a whole inspection report. They let me know all the problems with the car, and the investment I'd be taking on. Took the time to explain what each problem was, and how it affects the car. Very knowledgeable in their work. I ended up taking my Mustang there for 2 years. Unfortunately the car got totaled in an accident recently by someone.Since then I've purchased a 06 Mazda that has issues, and they're about to get it in and out within one-two business days. Which is amazingly fast. They have great work ethic, and are attentive with their clients & clients vehicles. Never in my years of having a car have I been to such a place that cares so much. American Mufflers is the place to come. They are experts to the T. Martin & Danny you guys keep surprising me Everytime! Love you guys!

I came here because of their FREE oil change on Wednesdays and because I also needed my headlight to be fixed. I was really happy with the service provided and appreciated the honesty of the mechanics here. This is not a place that will screw you over with unnecessary repairs.

martin and his crew best mechanics ever. Never have any issues. They are very reasonable and personable. Used them for my vehicles on many occasions. Just call and martin always has a solution to my problem. I can just show up and He will accommodate me at any time.

This place is pretty new a car x use to be here and most of the reviews on here about that. Im here to say I went to this place and was extremely satisfied with the mechanics. They are honest and you never have to wait too long to get your car fixed. I had to fix my transmission and I was amazed at how affordable it ended up to be

I brought them my car for an alignment. I noticed the car pulling hard to the left and it was never like that prior. He told me it wasn t the suspension it was something else, come to find out the alignment was WAY off. Brought it to another shop and they showed me the alignment printout and I can t believe how much it was off. They rushed me out and said the car was fine.

nice people, good service. BUT!!! after fixing a simple tire leak they pumped up the tire to 40lb psi. That's 8 lbs over what is listed inside every car door! My tire looked like a balloon until I let some air out. My take is this is an old trick to be sure if there's still a leak you will be long gone before it sets off your car's low tire detector again. Very disappointed.

They tried to charge me 1150$ for work that was not needed. I tested them went to 4 different mechanics. All of them told me the car is good expect for 1 tie rod. These people told me both inner and outer tie rods need to be replaced, new brake and rotors, wheel bearings and both ball joints. I DO NOT RECCOMEND HERE AT ALL! They said if I do work on the car I get a free oil change like awesome! 20$ oil change is now 1150$! DO NOT COME HERE! If there was a way to rate it 0 I would

Very pleasant experience, great customer service, they explain to you everything your car needs and what s best for your car. Martin is an outstanding mechanic, he always makes you feel comfortable in all the ways posible when it comes to your vehicle and his service. I totally recommend this place.

I ve come here many times and honestly I wish I haven t. Their repairs don t last. They seem to fix the same stuff over and over. Warranty? Yeah but doesn t cover everything if anything. Negative 0 . Took my My SRT there the stole a Brembo caliber and gave me a hassle messed my rotors up and my wheel eliminate up never again worst experience not to be trusted with performance vehicles.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I own a 2005 4 door F150 that wouldn't go forward or backwards. I went to the Berwyn location at the recommendation of my landscaper. I told him 3 other shops had said I needed a transmission. I was skeptical when Martin at American muffler said "truck engine and transmission are good", he found some minor things that needed to be changed. Danny kept me in the loop on how things were progressing. They made the repairs and the truck runs like it did when I bought it brand new. I recommend American Muffler in Berwyn to anyone that will listen, and this will be my go to place for all my truck maintenance needs. This shop has the best customer service, I enjoyed working with both Martin, and Danny. Make this your first and only stop when you need your vehicle's serviced.

so this is what happened... one of my rear brakes was making a grinding noise. I bring it to these guys and they show me a frozen caliper and a worn down rotor which was the direct result of the frozen caliper. So they replace both rotors and I was told that the caliper would be fixed. They call me to say its ready... I pay for the repair and just as I was pulling out there was still a grinding noise. I drove a few more blocks just to see if it would just go away, but no. They obviously didn't do any kind of test drive after fixing it. If they had, they'd know that the job wasn't finished. I would have to of waited long, but at least the repair would have been done right. So I'm not all that happy that they gave me back my car with the same problem which could result in yet another set of rotors. Going to take it back to see if they can get it done properly. Stay tuned... I will follow up.

My wife took my car in for an oil change and I used her car to get to work. They tell her I need a new water pump or my car will be overheating soon. Well, I drive my car the next day and I noticed my temperature gauge going up. It didn't do that before. Only after my wife bought my car in for an oil change and after they mention my water pump needs to be replaced. ?????? What would you think? I would go in and talk to the manager, but he would only deny it. I won't be talking to them, but I will be talking to everyone I know.... DON'T EVER GO TO THE CAR-X IN BERWYN!!!!! They don't even deserve a 1 star rating!
