I had lots of questions for Rafael and he had no problem answering them off the top of his head! Very knowledgeable, professional, friendly customer service. Do recommend them. My dad also got an almost brand new truck from them, in which Joe and Rafael made sure my dad got all the information beforehand!

My red HHR was purchased from North State Motors Belvidere. Deal was smooth as silk. The car looks brand new in and out. I took it to my mechanic, he checked it out said everything looks good I am letting people know how smooth it went. I was told the car was in great shape at the dealer and also been verified by a certified mechanic at another site. (My family insisted)Thank you for my great car!

Recently purchased a vehicle here and worked with Rafael. Rafael was super helpful and friendly and I didn t ever feel pressured or like I was being sold to . The sale process was the quickest and easiest we ve ever had. We certainly would buy from here again!

Over the past six or seven years I've purchased five vehicles at North State motors from either Joe or Raphael and had no problems with any of the vehicles. These guys are knowledgeable, friendly, but most of all they're HONEST and they stand behind their vehicles and go the extra mile to make sure their customers are totally happy with their purchase

Rafael helped us get into a newer car with low mileage and made it absolutely stress free!!! The vehicles were all very nice and clean that I looked at and it didn't take long to get the paperwork handled and keys in my hand! If you're looking for a great car at a reasonable price definitely check them out. I can't believe I'm driving a 2016 compared to my 99 I've had forever! Thank you North State motors!

I drove 3 hours to purchase a vehicle from Rafael on October 6, 2021. He was very helpful by providing pictures of the vehicle and discussing its condition over the phone before I purchased it. This gave me confidence that there would be no unpleasant surprises when I picked it up. I drove by myself and used a car dolly from the local U-haul facility to tow my car back home. Rafael assisted me loading my car on the dolly. Great service. Thank you.

These guys definitely live up to the stereotype of used car salesmen, so be cautious. I bought a car from them over a year ago. They were very stingy about letting me test drive and inspect the car, even though I made it clear that I was ready to pay full price in cash if I liked it. They insisted it was a beautiful, almost new car - but a year later, I've spent about $1500 on repairs. They said the treads on the tires were barely worn down - this was actually true, but they failed to mention the severe dry rot on the sidewalls. A tire eventually blew out and I replaced all 4 for about $800. Anyway, after having to replace brake rotors, battery, and solenoids as well, I finally have a good car. Thanks Rafael!

My mother bought a vehicle there and when she got home the check engine light came on. Rafael made sure to replace the part it needed to give us the confidence the car was to be fixed and running as it should.He also took the time to make sure a leak on a windshield was fixed. Most dealers would have helped to a certain extend but Rafael made sure to take care of his customers. Def will go back to buy from Rafael.Nothing by cooperation and satisfaction when most probably would not have helped. Highly recommend.Julian

After buying cars since 2003, from a former dealer, had to go elsewhere to get 1. I came to North State motors, in Belvidere, Il. To look at cars. Rafael was great to work with! Very personable, willing to help you. He got me into a used car no problem! His cars are very clean, and great deals!

This is a great place to buy a car. Went car shopping with my daughter and basically went as a "guide" to help her with the car purchasing process. So happy that we landed at North States Motors. We were allowed to wonder around the car lot without anyone walking behind us, asking questions, swaying us towards one car or another. When we found a couple cars we wanted to look at closer, we went in and met the salesman. He showed us the cars and was very honest about each one. He was personable without any pressure. The office was extremely clean and so were the cars. She chose a car and he set her up with wonderful financing and as a first time car buyer and just graduating from college, she was given a 3% interest rate. I thought I was taking her through this process but they actually enhanced the experience for her. I will always go there first and I know she will, too. Thank you to Raphael and the great staff at North States Motors for being exactly what an auto dealership should be.

We purchased a used car today from this dealership and absolutely loved the service we received! We were not pressured in any way, given options as far as financing and kept informed along the way through each step. We were able to get a great loan through a local lender with a good interest rate when considering our credit score and recent credit history over the past two years. There was one small problem noticed during the test drive that is being corrected for no charge first thing Monday morning. Our sales person was working on our financing on his day off to ensure we could pick the vehicle up today. We have purchased many vehicles over the past 30 years, and this by far was the best experience we have had, ever. I highly recommend them as a small business, and will be going back to them when we are ready to purchase our next car!

Amazing customer service skills! Rafael was helping me out just a great person made me feel comfortable and wasn t pushy about running my credit! Him an his partner both have great personalities I was in and out with the process of my car. I was in there way to long because our conversation was amazing I felt like I was talking with family. Also the second day I had the car it wouldn t crank over. Rafael came out and checked it got it running an took to the mechanic he didn t have to the starter wasn t covered under my warranty and they fixed it anyway am that right there made me feel like north state motors deserves a 5 star because I don t believe if I bought my car some where else they would have fixed it for me! Thanks guys once again I appreciate you!

I'm so very happy and satisfied with my trip to North State Motors!! I was struggling to find a vehicle and almost ready to give up looking. As soon as I walked in, Mr. Avila took charge and did an amazing job finding me my vehicle. Not just any vehicle, my dream vehicle!! I can't even put into words how happy I am. I highly recommend buying with these guys!! Great customer service, beautiful vehicles, and great prices!! So very pleased!! Thank you North State Motors!!

Excellent selection of vehicles, everything I saw looked great and was in above average condition. It is hard these days to find down to earth people who actually care about what they are offering for sale. Great price on the GMC truck I bought and after 6 months or so I could not be more pleased. Thanks to North State Motors for finding such a good truck for me.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This place is awesome. After being denied elsewhere with so-so credit, I came here, thinking it was a buy here, pay here lot, because I thought they would be the only ones to work with me. Rafael helped me not only better understand the details of my credit, but wasn't pushy about running my credit. He asked a lot of questions first to better decide which lender to contact so I didn't end up with a bunch of inquiries on my credit. He worked directly with a local lender, who was just as great, and in the end I ended up switching all my accounts to that credit union. Rafael had a particular truck on his lot I've dreamed about owning for years. Although I can afford it, I didn't think any lender would give me the chance so I picked something I sort of wanted, but was cheaper. He did some work with the lender and they were able to work it out, with some pretty good terms, and I actually drove away with my truck I wanted in the very beginning. Its still surreal to me. I can't say enough good things about these guys, and I will most likely return for my future purchases, as well as recommending them to anyone in the market for a car!

I walked into the dealership with little faith of actually getting the vehicle i needed for my family having no credit previously. I'm amazed at how hard they worked to make sure i was able to get what i needed for my kids at a good percentage rate and in a timely matter! I higly recommend checking them out! It's been a month since my purchase and i have nothing but good things to say!

Great place to buy a clean used car (and I work for a competitor!) I felt compelled to defend North State Motors from the one bad review and the stupid compliants. You drove 1.8 hours 3 times, who does that? That alone makes me question your review. They were honest with you in telling you the price was as is and if you came back with a "laundry list" they would not lower the price. Why would they? The car was priced based on the amount of money they had in the car. These guys make $5,000 cars look like $10,000 cars by good reconditioning, and they are easy to deal with. As a matter of fact several years ago I had a relative that needed a $5,000 car and I did not have anything on my lot that would work. I went there with her and helped her buy a super nice car for $5,000 that she is still driving 5 years later!

I was a first time car buyer with no co-signer, but these guys were ready to help me out. They were friendly, fast about their service, and it was an overall great experience. I drove off the lot today in a Mustang and I couldn't be happier with North State Motors!
