Having recently moved to Belvidere, I was looking for a place to have my car serviced. After reading reviews, I chose Mark's. The attentiveness and great service coupled with a great staff sealed the deal for me being a customer from now on. Pete is A-#1. Friendly, professional and all around great guy. A major plus is you get taken home and picked up after service has been completed. You guys are stuck with me now!!

I'm so glad to have found this place. The mechanics in this shop are thorough and kind. Pete, thanks for always making me feel important. You are truly an important asset to the company. The integrity you guys possess is unmatched. Keep putting the customer's needs first. I definitely recommend this specific establishment to people who're looking for outstanding service at a reasonable price.

I have spent so many years looking for a good shop. Well I didn't find it at Mark's because they are AMAZING!!! I would give you 100 stars if possible. To actually have a shop listen to what you are telling them and give you honest, fair qoutes...I just can't praise them enough. AND PETE YOU ARE THE BEST! Please don't ever change Mark's, keep it real. Thank you for your care with the 2 vehicles of ours you now service.

When the engine light on our car came on while driving on the interstate we chose to have our car towed to Mark's Auto Service because it was close. Mark's turned out to be a great choice.Pete called us the next morning and we told them what had happened. He took a look at the car later that day and diagnosed what was wrong. Instead of suggesting expensive repairs he recommended that we contact the manufacturer because he thought the issue may be covered under an extended warranty despite the car having 125K miles on it.Mark's let the car sit on their lot while we contacted Hyundai Motors and made arrangements to have it towed to a dealership.The dealership confirmed the diagnosis from Mark's and replaced the engine under warranty.The folks at Mark's were fantastic throughout the entire process and refused to charge us anything for their work, help, and advice.If Mark's Auto Service is this great with an out-of-state motorist who is unfamiliar with the area and who has little chance of becoming a repeat customer, I can only imagine what they do for locals.

My father and I stopped by Marks for pricing on new tires as well as an oil change, and not only was Pete quick with recommendations, and pricing, but they were able to order what we wanted, and change everything out in just a couple days. We even had an unforeseen hiccup with our truck upon leaving, which wasn t their fault mind you, and they were not only able to diagnose the problem immediately, but were also able to work with us and fix it on the spot! If that isn t superb service then I don t know what is. We will definitely be using Marks for all future vehicle needs! Well deserved 5 stars.

Pete who is the owner of Mark's Auto Services is the best around. He sends text messages to let you know it's time for oil change or Hey you were in here about your brakes how are things working out. This place is just amazing with customers Services. Another point is you will never leave there unhappy about your service(s).

Pete was extremely helpful and walked through everything in an upfront and honest manner. Their main priority was getting my vehicle fixed and followed up repeatedly after the fact to make sure I wasn t having any additional problems. I recommend 100%.

I called Mark's Auto for a quote on a new/used transmission, which is what I was told from another mechanic was needed. Working with Pete was a pleasure. I was provided a quote and encouraged to have them take a look at the vehicle prior to any work being completed. Thankful for the team for doing this! Found numerous other issues/fixes needed to be completed that I was unaware of that possibly contributed to the other mechanic stating a new transmission was required! Peter was very candid on his recommendations and was transparent in his assessment of what needed to be dealt with immediately. Suffice it to say, my car runs as good as it did when I bought it, and I haven't needed to replace the transmission. Excellent experience and will definitely be recommending Mark's to anyone.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

I stopped by unannounced when my car started vibrating at high speeds on a trip to Minnesota. Pete checked my whole car over, taught me a lot about tire rotation, and sent me on my way, free of charge. Everyone I met in the waiting room told me how loyal they are to Pete and to Marks. It would be worth it to drive here and make this guy my mechanic.

I Was recommended to Mark s auto. My car was giving a message engine overheating, Pete was who I spoke with. What a very nice guy. He was very professional, respectful, and caring. Even tho he didn t do the repairs, as he suggested to me what he would do if it was him. Topped my car off with some coolant and didn t charge me nothing. Most shops charge just to look at your car and find out what s wrong. I would definitely recommend Marks Auto.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We would highly recommend Marks Auto Service. We have actually used them for oil changes. Today driving through town our battery light went on. We were hesitant to turn car off. We pulled right into Marks Auto Service and they tested our battery and found it to be ok. Pete was very nice and advised us what to do if it happens again. He was so friendly and he didn t charge us. Nice to know we have such friendly and honest technicians in Belvidere.

Visiting Belvidere & took my Dad s Toyota Avalon in which needed A Lot of care. Vern is a Toyota master & got it running like a top! Pete talked me through it explaining everything & making sure the turn-around time was quick. I m so impressed with their professionalism & courtesy. Highly recommend because you can t find better!

Just moved to town in June. Was recommended to Mark s. Very happy with the service ad and prices are competitive. I had a squeak in my brakes, checked the brakes on my suv and told me the brakes were good. They could of easily put new brakes on and I would not of know the difference. It is without hesitation that I recommend , Marks Auto in Belvidere - I enjoyed a most excellent experience in every aspect from the web based scheduling , the mgr Pete's knowledge & expert communication as well as the diligence and expertise from their skilled serviceman , especially Vern , They worked on a very complex Jeep problem I had , carefully diagnosed the concerns and then solved the computer and mechanical problems correctly and efficiently - please give this service business your serious consideration and I am confident you too will be pleased -

All I have to say it that Tad & Pete at the Belvidere location saved my daughters Jeep from disaster. The Jeep was leaking coolant and Pete figured it out in no time. What could of been an engine failure was averted and saved a ton of money. I thank you guys for your honesty and getting the Jeep back on the road. Bless you guys.Thank you,Tony Corso

I called Mark s auto for a quote on brakes for my car as I was shopping around for the best deal. I was taken back when Pete told me that he wanted to do a free inspection to let me know exactly the correct diagnosis to give me an accurate fee. Nobody around town offered that to me so I took him up on it and was amazed at the service and professionalism. They were able to do my work that day! They went above and beyond to take care of my car. I was introduced to Vern who came and greeted me. He does the magic behind the scenes and took care of my car as if it was his own. New to the area and was recommended to go to Mark s. I had a fuel evaporation pressure problem which could be several possible problems.Pete not only trouble shot all the possible issues but found the problem, fixed it all along keeping me informed. Got a courtesy call from Mark s yesterday(2 weeks after repair)checking in with me on how everything was. The tall Puerto Rican guy with the neck tattoos will sabotage your vehicle in order to drum new business , beware of shady mechanics.Update in response to Mark Auto commentMaybe the tall gentleman is African American ? Did you boot him due to the fact he s a liability ? No thanks I won t return there so you guys can have my truck act all out of wack .

Mark s Auto has cured me of mechanic-phobia! They ve added years to the life of my senior Ford, and their customer service is top-notch. I always get speedy service, knowledgeable advice, and a fair price. They also have a newly renovated and spacious waiting area, as well as convenient overnight drop-off. Will recommend to friends and family, even the well-liked ones!

I was very happy with my synthetic oil change. Only $34.99. My aunt was paying $100 for the synthetic oil change. They even put my license plates on and didn't charge me! They were very quick too. I went for a walk and when I came back it was finished. And there were only 1 or 2 people waiting. It was very clean for an auto shop. I think it was Mark that greeted me and took care of my car, very nice gentleman. I will definitely go there again.

Very impressive! Would give 10 stars if available. Pete and Technician Vern were very quick and accommodating especially since I live 2 hours away. They asked other local customers to be pushed back a day just to help me, and even their customers must be awesome because they agreed.My hybrid power had died, so without even being able to shift to neutral. They called a tow for me, charged the battery, and diagnosed. In 3 hours total from a walk in without an appointment, I was driving again!Very cool place, and affordableServices: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning

I had the best experience with Mark's Auto Service. I bought my car 3 years ago. I took my car to the dealership for 3 summers saying my air conditioning did not work. They only added freon I believe and sent me on my way. Pete and the tech found the issue and my car was fixed in 1 day. They let me use a car to go to work while my car was being repaired. I had the best experience and would recommend them to everyone!

Needed my front pads and rotors done. I learned the morning of starting a large project for my company.This company was able to give me a fast quote, they got me in right away and even did a last minute oil change for me. (The price was to good to pass on it)Problem was solved on the car. Service was great! Price was affordable for sure. I do recommend!

They did a great job repairing multiple issues with my Tahoe. It rides as good as the day I got it. I appreciate the time they took to explain what was wrong and what needed to be repaired. I will bring all of my cars here for repair and regular service moving forward. If you live near this shop I highly recommend them.
