Very friendly, quick and reasonably priced. I was impressed that they had researched a few possible fixes for my car before I had even dropped it off! Can t get that kind of service from a dealership! They ve got me as a customer for life.

New to the area and needed an auto mechanic. Called and talked to the owner, Matt. Excellent customer service; quality work at a fair price. All 4 brakes on my Acura for under $900 and took care of some other things free of charge. Bringing the wife s car here next. Nice to have someone you can trust work on cars that your loved ones drive. Thanks Matt.

They re great! They can always get me in last minute, work with my schedule very well and super communicative. I love how Matt provides images and explains everything wrong. The most honest shop I ve used. I will be using them indefinitely and referring my friends and family.

Went to Reliable to get a head gasket repaired, that ended up not being the issue, he replaced the Mini's thermostat and replaced the brakes as well. For far less than I was expecting. I really appreciate honesty from my local mechanic. Thanks again

Very helpful, explain things well, always are up front about how much things will cost and if they are needed right away. Never felt pushed to fix something I didn t want to.

Stopped by at the shop for a regular maintenance. As a first time customer, the on-boarding process was quick and smooth. Matt was able to accomodate me just before closing and I was in and out within 30 mins. I recently had a cooling issue with my 2014 Chevy Volt's drive battery system. I have been taking my 2 other vehicles to Reliable for the last 2 years since we moved to the area. However since my (new to me) Volt was a partial electric I thought it might be best to take it to a Chevy dealer for service. So I took it to a local Chevy dealer where they gave me a quote that was roughly 1/3 the cost that I paid for the car. Not great. I mean its a cool car and all, but not that cool. Once I paid them for their diagnostics, I moved on my merry way and took it to Reliable to see what their thoughts were. In the hopes of not only saving me money but also supporting a local small business that I know and trust. After about an hour Matt reached out to me with some good news and some bad news. Good news: The original dealership that quoted the service had some items on their quote that actually weren't in need of repair/ replacement at all. Bad news: Reliable was not certified to work on the Chevy Volt battery system and did not feel comfortable performing the work. However, more good news he referred me to a contact at a different Chevy dealership that could work with me. Matt sent his contact all the info necessary from his own inspection and codes found. The dealership he referred me to was able to do the necessary work for $1,500 less than what I was quoted by the original dealership I took it to. Long story short, as much as I would have liked for Reliable to do the work, kudos to Matt for his upfront transparency and honesty and not just doing the work to make a quick buck. Not only did he point me in the right direction, he followed up with me to see how everything turned out. I will continue to take my vehicles to Reliable. A big thank you to Matt and his team for all of their help with my vehicle.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I had been keeping an eye out, for an honest, affordable, and quality repair shop (basically, a unicorn), when I moved to the area. I have found one. These guys are great. Matthew is the new owner. He always gives me the straight talk about what needs to be done now (or in the very near future), what will need to be done but can wait, and what the nice to get done but doesn't really need to happen, without going for the hard sell. If I don't want to wait around for the work to get done, they usually have a free loaner vehicle I can use. The customer service is always great.I have been bringing my cars to these guys, over the years, and they have always treated me right.I will continue bringing my cars here, for any work I need done in the future. I need to pass emissions, These guys were strait forward and honest on my options due to condition of the car. I really appreciate that I can trust them. I feel other companies would have taken the approach of trail and error expensive repaid that would get me no where. They only charged me the minimum fee, which I m sure they spent more time than that. I would recommend these guys no problem.Service: Electrical repair

Time after time I always know I m in great hands with the Reliable fam, I know I can count on them with doing nothing but the best jobs. It takes me about 40 min to get to the shop but i know it ll always be worth the peace of mind going to them before, during & after any fix. Thank you guys for always taking care of my car !! I visited Reliable Auto Repair on a reference from another auto shop that could not see me on emergency notice. I called Matt (the owner) and told him I was from out of town & my power steering went out. He said he would take a look even if he had to do it himself. My truck was diagnosed & evaluated within about 10 minutes, and in the end Reliable got me back on the road in less than an hour. Really appreciated the integrity, hospitality, and especially quick service! I highly recommend Reliable Auto Repair in Batavia, IL!Service: Vehicle Inspection

Been going to these guys for almost six years now and Pete s been amazing to us.Work is outstanding; everything they ve ever done for any of our vehicles has been top quality. Their excellent care is the reason why our two old cars are still running strong.Value is also fantastic. They do well because their customers keep coming back to them, not because they charge an arm and a leg. We re always on a budget so we ve very much appreciated their fair prices.Service though is the very best. Everyone at Reliable is kind, friendly, and genuinely caring. I was hesitant about trying a new auto shop because I've had some repair techs/companies try to take advantage of me in the past by recommending unnecessary services or repairs in order to make more money.My experiencing at Reliable Auto was the opposite. Pete is extremely honest and professional . With each visit, he provides a detailed report after their inspection, so I was able see what condition my car was in and understand any recommendations for service. The prices are extremely fair and Pete has gone out of his way to accommodate my schedule and keep me updated as my car was being worked on. I brought my vehicle here for a pre-purchase inspection because they accept the warranty I have.Pete was very accommodating with scheduling a time to drop off my car and he offered me a loaner for the day while they looked it over and had an alignment done.They gave me an honest breakdown of the things that needed to be addressed immediately and what can wait.I returned a couple weeks later to tackle the issues they found. Andy did great work and got my car back to me in within a day.The team at Reliable Auto Repair went above and beyond my expectations. They were honest and do quality work.
