I have been meaning to write a review for the incredible experience I had working with Mark and the team at Barnaba for quite some time now but only just got around to doing so.Last year I had them perform a PPI of a 2006 Carrera S that I was looking to purchase. I reached out with a last minute request for them to perform a PPI before I was slated to arrive in Chicago for a work trip the following week (ideally I was hoping to have the results before leaving so I knew whether or not to come prepared to buy!).Needless to say, Barnaba came through and performed the PPI in record time and provided me a TON of fantastic information that gave me an in depth understanding of the true condition of the vehicle including a few items that they caught that would have potentially been a deal breaker for me if I wasn t able to negotiate the purchase price with the seller related to those issues.I d also like to note that Mark Greco took the time to jump on a call with me and run through the full PPI report in detail and answer any questions I had about the items that were noted.In the end, I made the leap and purchased the vehicle, and Barnaba was even able to address the identified issues after my purchase before helping to organize shipping to my house in NY. I can t thank Mark, Jake and the rest of the team enough for helping me get one of my dream cars!

Mark and his team took very good care of my 2018 Porsche Macan while it was at the shop for a yearly check-up. The news was good except for a need for new tires. Mark suggested the brand and it drives like a new car. Thank-you everyone at Barnaba.No need to hesitate, just go there.

Highly recommend! I had a fantastic experience with Mark in the service department at Barnaba Autosport. They completed a pre-purchase inspection on a 2007 Boxster S for me in a very timely manner, even during a week of lousy winter weather! Very communicative, and patient with all of my questions. He made sure to tell me that our relationship didn't end at the report, but that they would be there with support throughout my Porsche ownership, should I decide to purchase the car. Which I did. :> Thanks so much to Mark and his crew, they were a large part of what made me feel comfortable (as comfortable as one can be in buying a 17-year-old Porsche!) in this purchase.

The only downside to having your Porsche serviced at Barnaba is that you want to drive home with several more. Sitting in their customer lounge is like sitting in a dream garage. You re surrounded by classic 911 s, 924 s, 993 s and other 9-somethings from every decade in various stages of restoration to being ready to go to their new owner. It s impossible not to take pictures (I ll post a few here). But while you re dreaming of your next Porsche, Mark and his team do a fantastic job of taking care of the one you have. I have a 2017 Macan S which I now bring in for all scheduled maintenance. But what really made me a fan is that they helped diagnose and resolve a drivetrain issue that the dealership couldn t pinpoint and wanted to replace the entire transmission. What could ve been a major costly repair turned out to be a faulty valve, and Barnaba saved me enough to start my own Next Porsche Fund. I am so glad I found these guys. And I can t say enough about how friendly they are and how honest they are about the work that actually needs to be done. They will sit down with you, pull out an engine diagram, and really help you understand your car. You can even hang out and watch your car while it s being serviced. It s also reassuring to know that both Mark and his lead technician both came from the dealership where I purchased mine. Suffice it to say, they know Porsche s better than anyone. But back to their showroom I actually find myself looking forward to my next service visits just so I can check out the latest inventory. It s an ever-evolving Porsche museum!

In 1979 I was 12 years old. I have no idea how an off the showroom floor 1979 Porsche 911 felt to drive. I do know how my 44 year old 911 drove prior to the engine and transmission rebuild by you guys. This is a totally different beast! All I can say is wow! My 915 gearbox is now unbelievably smooth and accurate, no missing a shift thanks to the Wevo gate shift kit out back. The motor (3.0 enlarged to a 3.2) pulls hard on acceleration and the sound of the SSI s and GT3 style exhaust is intoxicating. Now when I put it away for the night, I can t stop thinking about driving it again. I love this car more than ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

One of the best experiences I've ever had with car repairs. Mark was absolutely phenomenal.This was not an inexpensive job, but he made it feel painless.I will bring my car the 1-1/2 to 2 hours of time it takes to get to them any time it needs work. IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

Highly recommended!!! The service I receive from Barnaba on my 2016 911 4S is always exceeds my expectations. I'm the type of guy when I get time away from work I want to get in the car and drive it. They prepare the car for track days and autocross, it always runs flawlessly. Mark educates me in everything Porsche and knows every detail of my car. My Porsche experience is greater than I could have imagined knowing Mark at Barnaba will always have my car in perfect condition. I don't write reviews but I can enthusiastically recommend Mark and Ron at Barnaba without hesitation. Do yourself a favor and give them an opportunity, you will not be disappointed.

I wish that I can give you 10 stars.After 6 years and couple different specialized porsche mechanic shop ,I got introduced to Barnaba Autosport . I thought that my car will never be fixed. But I was wrong ,it took some time ,Ron and Mark have promised me first day that they will not give up on my car and just to be patient.In the end it was worth it. I was so hopeless,because no one before was able to find the problem ,but it was worth waiting on the end . My 1980 Targa for first time ,after 6 years works perfect . If you have 911 I m sure that this is the best place to go . Thank you guys again for not giving up on my car .

I wanted to share my experiences over the last 6 months with Barnaba and John Greco servicing my 2015 981 GTS. This is my first Porsche and I am ecstatic about it. Barnaba is the only servicer that has touched my car since I ve owned it. They did a purchase inspection (the GTS was/is in pristine condition), detail, minor door dent repair, tires, tune, V1 hardwire install, and more. Barnaba and John have been the best car service experience I ve had in years. John has been great and his team, equally great...friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating on dates and times for drop offs and pickups. John will take a text or call for consult and plans just about any time, any day. I plan to only work with John and Barnaba for years (and hopefully many more Porsches).

I was looking to get a private party Porsche and needed someone to perform and inspection. My current Porsche dealer wouldn t perform an inspection and referred me to Barnaba. These guys were incredible!They put my car on the lift, walked me through the underside of the car, pointing out where problems would be if there were any. When the inspection was complete, Mark walked me through their recap sheet that outlined issues with the car and any general suggestions. I definitely had more confidence in making an offer after this inspection.Thank you to the whole team!

Just got my 2005 911 home from Barnaba Autosport and highly recommend! The entire experience was amazing from initial contact, to looking at the car, test drive and pick-up. Ron even took the time to help teach my how to drive a stick which is far above and beyond what you will get at any dealership.The showroom/shop is incredible with beautiful cars everywhere and an amazing staff that really cares for the cars. Ron is extremely well know in the industry and really takes the time and spends the money to get these cars to perfect condition. My new car looks new, runs great, and wont need any maintenance for a while- cant ask for more. Now I just need to learn how to drive it without stalling it coming in the driveway... Look forward to putting the miles on the 911 and using Barnaba Autosport for years of service to come.

I've had the pleasure of having Barnaba work on both my 1994 3.6 turbo and my 997 GT3 (I actually also had Ron arrange the sale of my turbo and I purchased my GT3 from him). You won't find many guys more passionate or knowledgeable about Porsche cars, or more honest - check out Ron's long term racing history with the brand. Mark has been great and makes sure he delivers a perfect product. He had one of my wheels repainted 3 times before he was satisfied enough to deliver to me. It is perfect and indistinguishable from the other rims and I'm pretty much a perfectionist. Check these guys out, they know these cars.

UPDATE AS OF 3/11/2019-------I just received my 1993 968 back from Barnaba. This is my second round of planned improvements since purchasing last July in a private sale.This round I had:-a audio upgrade done with the speakers-battery replacement-new alternator due to a squealing noise i was getting when ever a large load was placedI can not say how happy I am with the quality of the work and the high level of service from Mark & Ron! Thank you again!--------After looking for a solid Porsche mechanic to take care of my 1993 968, I came to learn or Barnaba Auto Sport.Right from the moment I walked in, I knew any concerns I had about finding someone I could trust to take care of our 25 year old new addition to the household was over.Here is what I truly appreciated:-Having Ron, the owner onsite of what is a truly modern facility was impressive.-the initial walk around with Mark was such a pleasant experience. Really brought me a level of comfort that they would truly treat the car as if it was their own-the following day Mark reviewed all the findingsr and gave a very realistic priority to what should and did not have to be done at that time.-I chose to have a number of things done all at once. Mark and the technician kept me informed of the progress of the work by sending pictures of milestones (see attached for a few). Nice touch.Barnaba- HIGHLY recommended.

I just bought a new, to me. 2005 977 Carrera S. It was my intention to purchase my car from Barnaba, but I found one that I liked out of state. The first thing I wanted to do was have a thorough inspection done and Barnaba's reputation is #1 when it comes to Porsche. They did the inspection and I had a small laundry list of things taken care of while the car was there and now I drive the car with a lot more confidence and I have a detailed record of every inch of my car. The inspection would've been worth twice the price for peace of mind. I will always maintain my car at Barnaba and I assured Ron that I'd buy my next car there out of their amazing inventory.

I had been looking to purchase my first Porsche (my dream car) for a while. I was very particular about the year model and color. One day while searching there it was! The car I had been looking for. I immediately called Barnaba. I spoke with Ron about the vehicle and we set up a time for me to come see it. From the very first phone call I could tell this was going to be a great experience. I got to the dealership and the car was exactly as described. Ron took the time to answer all of my questions on the vehicle. You can tell he really stands behind/cares about all the vehicles he sells. During the test drive Ron drove the car before I took the wheel. That test drive was a true experience. (if you know, you know) After the test drive, I decided to purchase the vehicle. I needed a week or so to get the funds in order and Ron said he wouldn't sell the car to anyone else (even though many others were interested). He is a man of his word and the car was there waiting for me once I had all the cash. It was the best experience I have ever had while purchasing a vehicle.Fast forward a month later. While driving with my wife at night I hit a metal pipe in the highway going about 70. I was able to avoid hitting it head on but still clipped it pretty good. I was obviously concerned that I may have messed something on my dream car up, so the next day I brought it to Barnaba. I spoke with Mark in service and let him know what happened. He immediately said "We need to put this on a lift. I would feel better if we checked it out." He immediately put the car on a lift and had his tech stop what he was doing to inspect the whole vehicle for me. Luckily, all I needed was 2 new rear tires (because one was torn up pretty bad) and an alignment. He ordered the tires for me. And had all the work done for me a day early because I mentioned I wanted to go to the last Porsche event of the season. I will be getting all of my service done with Barnaba. If you ever need work done to your Porsche don't hesitate to give Mark a call.I'd like to say thank you to both Ron and Mark at Barnaba for a great experience in the purchase and in the service of my dream car. You have earned a customer for life.

I always appreciate the helpful advice and prompt attention of Mark at Barnaba Autosport. Porches are never cheap to service, the 911 4s is not an exception when it's my daily driver, but these guys are better than competitive with the dealer network where you are just another license plate.

After forty-some years of hard work and striving to be able to afford a lifelong dream of mine, I finally found myself in a position to purchase that Porsche 911 that I have always wanted since I was 12 years old. I watched as 8 generations of the 911 evolved from the first model that debuted in the same year I was born, to the state of the art iconic sports car it is today. I eventually came to the conclusion that I could get all of the options that I wanted in a modern 911, if I bought a pre-owned vehicle.Oh, ..It was fun at first, browsing through all of the used car websites, checking out the local dealerships, etc. But it quickly became frustrating, as I realized it was becoming difficult to find that special car that checked all the right boxes regarding, performance level, colors, miles on the clock, the vehicle s history, and most importantly, pricing. So, I thought to myself, if I have waited this long, I can surely wait a little longer and be patient with finding the right car for me.After a few weeks of relentless searching, I came across a beautiful 2012 991 Carrera S on a website from Barnaba Autosport, which is located a few miles west of Chicago. Everything about the car looked great on paper and checked all the boxes for me. Although I was a little apprehensive with purchasing my dream car from a dealer that was located over 350 miles away from me, I must say that I was quickly set at ease after reading and watching the video on their website. This obviously is a professional family of knowledgeable, and experienced individuals that have a passion for Porsches.So, I decided to call Barnaba Autosports and I spoke with Chris Barnaba. Chris was very pleasant and answered all of my questions regarding the car and its history. He also sent me a link to a detailed video walk-around of the car. Chris was very helpful and took the time to speak with me on a few subsequent phone conversations over the next day or two. After my decision to move forward with the purchase, I called Chris to let him know that I needed to schedule a flight to Chicago and get my finances in order to complete the transaction. He assured me that he would not sell the car and would hold onto it until I booked a flight and flew out to see it.Once I arrived in Chicago, I arranged an Uber ride to Barnaba Autosports, which is approximately 36 miles from O Hare International Airport. Chris was already waiting for me and had everything ready to go. First order of business was meeting the car in person for the first time. It was everything Chris relayed to me, and more. Chris accompanied me for a quick test drive and pointed out the features of the car and provided welcome tips for ownership along the way. After spending some time with the car, we went back inside to sign the paperwork and close the deal. Once inside, I met Ron Barnaba (Owner, and father of Chris). Mr. Barnaba sat down with Chris and I and had a pleasant conversation about Porsche cars for a while. They made me feel at home and very comfortable with my decision to buy this car from Barnaba. They meticulously inspected the vehicle, and provided all the up-to-date maintenance, as well as a fine detailing. To wrap things up, before I drove away in my dream car, Chris assisted in setting up my cell phone and navigation system for my trip. A few quick pictures and I was off, with confidence that the car was well prepared and ready for my journey home. I had an awesome experience with purchasing my first Porsche with the Barnaba family and would highly recommend future Porsche owners to check them out.You won t be disappointed.Thank You Ron & Chris, for providing this new Porsche owner a memorable and happy experience.SincerelyRon Klein

I recently bought a Porsche from them. It has been a dream of mine to own a 911 since I was a kid. They were FANTASTIC and accommodating. I live in Nashville TN and the communication and honesty I experienced with Chris was unmatched. I HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for ANY Porsche, give them serious consideration. I cannot speak more highly of Banaba Autosport. Other shops were afraid to take on my 911 992 project and Banaba was not. They approached it with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn and experiment right along side me. Thanks Mark and Eric for making it happen!

Mark Greco and Ron Barnaba are proven experts. Ron's victories at Daytona and Mark and Ron's experience at Napleton Porsche make them uniquely qualified to "optimize" your Porsche regardless of model. My 911 991.1 C4S was just fitted with a Valve Centered Bypass manufactured by FVD Brombacher. It produces a screaming GT3-like sound at high RPMs, but a very tame and masculine rumble with little to no drone at lower RPMs. Fantastic! I can't stop driving the car just to hear that naturally aspirated symphony. Mark also recommended an upgrade in tuning using Softronic's 991 DFI CARRERA PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE. Along with the valved center bypass, my 911 has seen a 10% increase in HP and torque from the base numbers. It hasn't been on a dyno, but I CAN FEEL IT! It is truly a transformation for this non-turbo 911 991.1 C4S. I will never sell this car. It is too much fun to drive and that sound! Amazing! Thanks gentleman. You've made my car that much more enjoyable!

Buying a car over the web some 700 miles away can be a daunting and scary experience unless you have someone to work with like Ron. Speaking with him over the phone helped alleviate my concerns about purchasing a car remotely. You can tell that he has had many years of experience and knowledge of Porsche's. He is concerned about you having the best experience possible. The Cayman was exactly as advertised. I appreciated his help in dealing with internet loan processing and what needed to take place as he has transacted many deals like this previously. I would probably deal with Ron again when I want a newer Porsche. I wish I had done this several years ago, and with Ron's help.

I had been looking for an air cooled 911 for a while and was fortunate to have stumbled upon the one that Barnaba Autosport had for sale. Not only was I fortunate because of how great of car it is, but it connected me to the Barnaba Autosport team. Ron was fantastic to deal with. He was available right away to meet with me and he is a genuine person who cares for each car under his stewardship. Prior to the purchase he spent almost 2 hours with me going over the history of the car and its unique features. We came to an agreement and scheduled a time for me to come pick it up a week later. A day or two later, Ron found a minor imperfection in the seat and insisted on going the extra mile to fix it before I picked it up! He performed a thorough look over the car even though it had just had a major service performed. He is a rarity in these times, he has great pride in what he does and the cars that he puts his stamp of approval on.When it came time to pick it up I brought my now wife and he went over the cars history with her, he truly made it an experience for the both of us! (Which was helpful as the wife may not have been 100% on board with me buying it before.....but when we left she was on board...thanks Ron!)After taking delivery I had a couple follow up questions regarding some things I was unfamiliar with having only owned modern air cooled sports cars, both Ron and Mark provided me with a wealth of information.We will be Barnaba Autosport customers for life.

I could not have had a better experience with Barnaba. Ron is very patient on the phone and happily answered all my questions on the 997 that caught my eye. After talking with Ron and reading about his company, I trusted the car was clean, and in good condition, so I bought the car "site-unseen", which I had never done before.It took a few days to organize financing, and Ron was accommodating during the process. I then flew to Chicago to meet Ron and take delivery of the car. Upon arrival, I was extremely pleased. The car was well cared for and precisely as described in the listing.Later on, I needed to replace the serpentine belt. Ron was very helpful during the replacement and recommended a shop near me that I could trust. He lives up to his excellent reputation, and I would buy another car from him in a heartbeat.Bottom Line: If you are looking for a clean used Porsche, I would recommend getting one from Barnaba Autosport.

If you own a Porsche, don't even hesitate to give Barnaba Autosport a shot to prove to you perfection. This is exactly how servicing your Porsche should be!!! I made the initial mistake of taking my 997.2 Targa 4 to what I thought was a reputable shop called Olsen Motorsports located in Downers Grove (GOD AWFUL ESTABLISHMENT). I brought my car in for just an inspection with 0 codes. After a long wait time and many promises along with a unreasonable diagnostic fee of $600 I went to collect my car at Olsen Motorsports. As soon as I sat in my car, the dash was lit up like a christmas tree and the way the car drove was beyond clunky. I was beyond disappointed that Olsen Motorsports had the audacity to charge me $600 to return my car to me with more issues than I initially had before even bringing the car to them. Olsen Motorsports informed me that I needed to replace my entire PDK transmission for $15K (Beyond Disrespectful) After hearing about Barnaba Autosport through a referral of mine, I was immediately in great hands after speaking with Mark at Barnaba. I've been through numerous shops due to lack of communication and no one compares fractionally to the amount of attention to detail and the great amount of communication Mark establishes with you from the very start. I was reassured that my 911 was finally at the right place. Ron and Mark truly treats every single car that comes into Barnaba as if it were their very own. Beyond blessed to have finally discovered my permanent Porsche service center. After bringing my car to Barnaba, Mark was able to address all of Olsen Motorsports F*** Up's and the car drives like never before! Pulling super strong through every gear and driving extremely smooth. Never have experienced my car driving this good ever! Working with Barnaba Autosport has been a phenomenal experience. Huge thank you to Mark and Ron for squeezing me into their busy schedules, I greatly appreciate you all!! If you are questioning at all if you should bring your Porsche to Barnaba, please learn from my expensive mistake and take your car to them from the very start. I plan to refer all of my Porsche enthusiasts to Barnaba and can't wait to see what they are able to accomplish with my 911!

The Barnaba team is a class act all the way around. I had the most enjoyable and pleasant buying experience when I got my 2005 911. It felt like doing business with a good friend, and has continued to feel that way with the occasional service I have them do. This is a genuine family business and they make you feel like "one of the guys" and care about your experience. I will continue to work with them for the foreseeable future for my current Porsche and any others I may get.

I purchased a 2012 911 Carrera from Barnaba last week. I live in Atlanta and used the internet for a national search of cars. I wanted a 997.2 for a fair price and found one such car at Barnaba Autosport. After talking to several sellers of cars around the country, at the end of the day, I chose the one from Barnaba largely because Chris Barnaba was able to sell me on their business as much as on the car itself. I trusted him and once I flew up to Chicago to test drive, I found that everything he represented about the car turned out to be true. He made the process easy and was patient with me and my many questions as a first time Porsche buyer, including a thorough face-time review of the car. I would highly recommend Barnaba Autosport.

I can t say enough about Barnaba. Mark spent a lot of time with me discussing each detail about my car. This was a very different experience than going to the dealerships, all in a good way. I found my new go to for Porsche service or repair.I also found it great that they will help with suggestions if you are a DIY er. I enjoy working on my car and these guys don t mind if you do something yourself unlike the dealerships.

I recently purchased a 2008 911 4S from Ron Barnaba over the phone, sight unseen, during an out of town work event in Seattle. I am not the kind of guy that does something like that. Yet, the way Ron represented himself and his business, as well as character of his response to my inquiries led me to believe that he and his Porsche only business could be the real deal . It took me a couple of weeks to be able to fly to Chicago and actually see and take delivery of the car. It was exactly as described....a unicorn in terms of history, equipment, condition and mileage. Meeting Ron and seeing his shop with the kind of Porsches he was selling and the resources he has to properly inspect and prepare them confirmed to me that he and his business are in fact the real deal .This was highlighted when an unexpected issue arose with the installation of a new audio/GPS head unit and amplifier by a shop Ron suggested. During the installation, it was discovered that the previous owner had removed some of the speakers from the car. Ron simply covered the cost to have a set of good quality speakers installed at his expense. This kind of authentic commitment to delivering the car right to a first time customer like myself is unusual in my experience. I will likely trade up to a 911 turbo in a couple of years and when I do so, I will just call Ron because I have come to trust his integrity and expertise.
