One of the best automobile experiences I've had, I purchased a car here earlier in the fall and just had it back for some maintenance as part of the sale. Such a unique and special experience with Jim, Patrick and the rest of the team. Highly recommended!

Was shopping for a used vehicle. They have a nice varied inventory of older British land rovers. I would suggest if you buy an older British car, put it and all of your future repairs on an air mileage rewards card. That way, you'll be able to travel around the globe every couple of years.

This place is doing some insanely cool things with their projects. Magazine, Barrett Jackson and beyond quality work. The owner and staff are very down to earth and nice people. It would be a challenge to find other dealership/shops of this caliber.

If you like Land Rover Defenders and you love your own classic Defender, these are the right people to take care of your baby. Very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and honest. Great experience! I needed work done on my Range Rover to get a shock absorber replaced, and replaced my brakes. The entire process was great! The service was great, and the price was very reasonable. They know their stuff. This is a professional, high quality and yet old school feel type dealership. Jim Baber and the staff are very personable and fantastic to work with. They helped set up the perfect Birthday gift for my wife. The customer service, attention and follow up we received with our purchase was fantastic, I highly recommend checking them out!

My family serviced our beloved 2002 range rover at High Gate. The service is tremendous. We ultimately had more than just our range rover serviced at High Gate. We periodically have brought other European-made cars for excellent service. High Gate is high quality work. The people are incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and honest. This past June 2021 was our 1st experience with the Highgate Team. We are so happy we found Jim and Patrick.They are true professionals and Land Rover experts. I brought our LR3 (168k miles on it) in to check on some 'slipping' with the transmission. After a BG flush, which they suggested, and road tested the 'slipping' subsided. The charge was very reasonable. We also requested an oil and filter service & lube which included lubricating the chassis grease fittings & friction points. Again the charge was very reasonable. We are thrilled to have found a home here for servicing in the future. I have been coming to Highgate for over 7 years. They are absolutely outstanding. I have had two car mishaps in the past 6 months and they have gone above and beyond with their expertise and compassion for my situation. I simply do not trust anyone else with my car. Highgate Motors is a great place, came across Patrick and his shop while looking for an experienced Land Rover repair center, and this was it. Patrick is not only a brilliant Land Rover repairman, he is an enthusiast. He knows these automobiles inside and out. If you're looking for a reputable shop for your Land Rover or any European car this is the place! I found Highgate Motors by happenstance; i purchased a used lr3 from a dealership and i had Highgate perform an inspection for me. The car turned out to be junk and Patrick who oversaw the inspection assisted me with everything i needed to send back the vehicle; and on top of that he didn't charge me anything for the inspection. It is so refreshing to be treated so nice when they don't even know me.So based on their honesty and integrity i purchased a used Range Rover from them and had the pleasure of working with Jim. The Range Rover has been flawless and i couldn't be happier with my entire experience. Jim & Patrick are the nicest people I've met in a long time, Jim actually loaned me his personal car so i could see a client instead of taking an Uber.I can't write enough good things about them, i refer all of my friends and family to them; so if you are looking to work with honest people Highgate Motors is the best.

I took my SUV in to get new tires and an oil change. They noticed that my tie rod end on the passenger side needed to be replaced and that my brakes were a 20%. Great pricing a fraction of the other dealerships I was going to. And they let me know how much more time I had before I would have to have my brakes done. Highgate Motors does an excellent job servicing and diagnosing auto issues. I have been a client for years and would not trust taking my car anywhere else. George and his team are excellent and always provide a fair price. Best service in Barrington by far.

George and the team are amazing. Their knowledge of Landrovers is the most comprehensive i have ever found in the industry and their level of customer service exceeds the best Mercedes or Audi dealers I have worked with recently. I have been delighted working with them and would trust them with any of my vehicles completely.

First time in Highgate Motors, we were pleasantly surprised on how fast and friendly the service was with multiple repairs. George turned it around in one day which was great to not have to be without my car. We will definitely be going back the next time my car needs service and highly recommend this shop!

Excellent experience - Communication was great.George worked on my 1972 Fiat 500. Not every shop would be able to repair this car's engine. The service and price were excellent and the car is running probably better than new!Highly recommended!J. Espino

George and Highgate Motors are first class. They are experts in this business and are very fair and reasonable in their pricing. They also have the diagnostic equipment the "chains" don't have. The work is done in a timely manor and they have a comfortable waiting room with wifi if you have to wait- I did and got work done at the same time! I highly recommend them!

I have been looking for a cost effective but reliable mechanic to fix a couple things on my Land Rover Range Rover Sport, this place met and exceeded all my expectations. This has been my best mechanic experience ever and I own 5 cars from Luxury to cheap to minivan! I took my Range Rover to another place first (who I'll be leaving a review for next ) they gave me a price to fix one thing that literally tripled the quote that Highgate gave me. We did run into a hiccup with the amount of time that they would need to keep my car but a mechanic called me every single day with an update which I really appreciated. When I walked in to pick up my car the front desk lady was also very friendly and personable, on top of that while checking out a mechanic (I think) came out and again apologized that they had to keep my car longer, which was the cherry on top. I will now depend on them for any of my car needs, I hope they don't break my heart later but right now, I'm in love! Thank You Highgate.

After my initial pick up, I test drove the vehicle with George and he was not completely satisfied with the performance. George and crew are amazing! They are very skilled, knowledgeable, honest and very reasonably with pricing. I'm glad I found them and plan on using them on my Land Rovers and Range Rovers. Hands down, the best.

I had such a great time at Highgate Motors of Barrington. For the first time ever I was not intimidated in a car shop/repair situation because Carmen did an excellent job from beginning to end. He made sure that every question was answered and provided me with information about what my car needed and how it was going to be handled. I could tell that he had years of experience both working with cars and providing superior customer service. The repair was completed in a timely fashion all while other extremely friendly staff members checked in on me while I waited. When my car was ready Carmen met with me and provided me with information about my repair and things to look out for. I will definitely be working with Carmen again and highly recommend Highgate Motors of Barrington Highgate Motors of Barrington.

We ve been coming here for years and wouldn t trust anyone else. Prices are much more competitive than the Land Rover dealer. The staff is friendly and beyond knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
