As a business owner I know how important customer service is and Rick takes customer service to a whole other level. The whole process from start to finish was beyond what I expected. I brought him my 911 turbo and needed ALOT fixed, the engine had to come out along with a dozen other items. He went above and beyond what i ever expected and I heavily researched extensively the best shop in the area to bring my car to and fischer motors had the best reviews so I made the choice to bring my car there and they exceeded my expectations by a mile.I can go on and on about how good they are but I will keep it short and sweet.... fischer motors has the best customer service I've ever experienced and they treated my car like it was their own.I HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone looking for a shop to service their vehicle. Their knowledge of porsches is on another galaxy.I would not take my car to any other shop. They earned themselves a customer for as long as I own this car. I would not take my porsche anywhere else.

This is now my go-to shop for my Porsche 944 Turbo. The car has a modified suspension/shock setup and the guys at Fischer didn't even blink - knew exactly how to handle the alignment and corner balance. For a specialty shop, you get what you pay for but the price wasn't outlandish or unreasonable. It was also done in a timely manner.Rick and the other people at the shop know their stuff and we hung out for a little bit talking shop, which was awesome. No nonsense Porsche service with a group of folks who obviously are passionate about these cars too.

Started with basic maintenance. Nice people, nice shop and my Gallardo and SL65 AMG are happy, so... I am too. (updates below)Update: Came back a month later with my SL65 AMG. Put in 12 ignition coils, 24 plugs, changed all fluids - runs like brand new! Super happy.Update: Oct 2021 - Rick just put 4 new sport tires on my SL65 and performed oil and filter changes. Car feels brand new!Update: June 2022 - Rick and team put 10 new spark plugs in my Gallardo, replaced the air filters with high performance filters, replaced the misfire tubes with stainless steel tubes (Lambo thing) and a few other misc updates. Excellent work by his crew. Thank you Fischer Motors!

I can't express how awesome Rick and his team are. Had me on the road with addresing all the safety issues in a timely manner after purchased. Answered all my questions and built out a road map for future service and maintenance and what to look out for.

I ve had this shop perform a range of services on my 2008 Porsche. I very much enjoy doing business with them. They are attune to what a demanding customer wants. What I appreciate most is their transparency. I always feel like I m getting good guidance from the owners (Rick and his father) and the techs (Larry).Also, when you re in the shop, you get to see a lot of very sweet cars...a mix of pristine stock and highly modified track cars (no fast and furious jobs...not their thing) . Very cool place.

I have had a couple of Mercedes serviced by Rick over the past twenty years. My experience has been consistently positive. It's personal, honest and cheaper than the dealer. He doesn't try to up sell and his behavior indicates that he wants you coming back and excellent service is the way to do that. It feels like an old fashioned "my word is my bond" operation.

I started taking my cars to Fischer Motors because their prices were so much better than the local dealer prices. I have continued taking my cars there because their service is excellent and they treat me great. I don t know a lot about cars but they never make me feel bad. When my car displays a warning light, I call or drive by and they tell me whether it is something I need to handle right away or if I can wait a while. They take my non-technical descriptions seriously (sounds like ball bearings are rolling around under the hood) and are able to interpret them, troubleshoot and fix my cars. Their waiting area is low frills which I love because I know I am not paying for luxury via the service prices. While Fischer is known for their work on high-end race cars, they are also terrific with regular cars like mine.

After trying a couple of other Porsche shops, I am very happy to be a customer of Fischer Motors. I have had my 996 Turbo, 996 40th ae and a high mileage Cayenne Turbo S serviced there and have been very happy. Fair pricing and great customer service. Flawless work - not once have I had to go back to have something looked at again. From the mundane oil change to a in tank fuel pumps buried under the floor in the Cayenne, everything has gone very smoothly and on time. Most recently he installed a ton of suspension bits on the 996 and the car just came out perfect out of the box. Rick is very fair with his pricing and generous with his time. The shop is very nice and clean without being pretentious either. Always, nice cars being worked on, including some BMW's and Audi's as well.

I have been taking my 911 Turbo to Fischer for a short time now but they have a customer for life. Larry is an amazing mechanic and would never hesitate to have him work on my vehicle. Rick always keep me posted on whats going on with my car. These guys are great to work with.

Fischer Motors is top notch. Rick is upfront, honest, professional and will treat your car like his own. I would not have anyone else service my Mercedes. These guys are a hidden gem.

I have a very high mileage 997. Rick was awesome.Very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. I was in the D.C. area and my car in the Chicago suburbs, and needed some susupension components installed, as well as other small suspensions repairs. Rick did a great job, and did it pretty quick- all at a fair price. Made the car road ready and I flew in and drove it back over 730 miles the next day. Recommend Fischer Motors to all. Once the car is back in the Chicagoland area I will be returning to have it serviced with Rick.

Rick performed the pre-purchase inspection for me while I'm remotely sitting in California. The inspection is detailed and done in high-quality. Rick patiently spent his time answering all of my questions about the car to give me confidence on the overall condition of the car.If I live nearby, I will have my car worked by them for sure!

If I could give less than one star, I would. We took our Porsche Cayenne in for our first ever oil change other than Motor Werks. The next morning all the oils was all over our brand new paved driveway. The owner, Rick, came to our house to see if it could be driven to his shop or towed. After he assessed that it could be driven, we got it back. We asked at this point if he had checked the def and he responded that in fact they had forgotten. We picked up the car and it had def all over the back end and Ruck said the last place must of spilled it. OMG. No apologies. Please never support someone who does not care and lies. The lying was the worst.Service: Oil change

I bought radios from the shop in January 2019 as they were clearing their inventory. While the mechanic selling the parts was a nice guy, he got me all the radios but could not find the amp to them (at time of pick up). He promised to ship it to me. After a month of back and forth, he never shipped me the part that i paid for nor did i recieve a partial refund. The owner call the shots and he didnt bother to stick to the promise of sending the amp.Not a good way to do business. I never serviced my Porsche there, but if this is how they do business on a $20 part, i would not trust them.Art

They know their Porsches! They were super transparent and knowledgeable. Rick and Larry, who worked on my car, is also an instructor at PCA DE events (Porsche Club of America). As an engineer and car enthusiast myself, I m fairly familiar with basic car maintenance items and can attest to their honesty & reasonable price. They don t up-sell you on stuff you don t need! I got sick of shops in the city doing that and decided to drive to Barrington to get work done with them. Everything they told me about my car checked out (right down to the headlight/ride height sensor that needs to be detached to get to the oil filter in 982 PDK equipped cars). I ll gladly be getting more work done here and be sure to recommend them to friends/family!

I was recently in the Chicago area, and being from downstate with no local dealer, wanted to try Fischer Motors for some routine maintenance as the reviews online were excellent. I could not have been more pleased. You can tell they know their craft.
