Unfortunately I was told a price of $400-$450 over the phone and when I arrived the price increased to $1350. I been going there for 5-6 years to have work done and they do excellent work. I had a very good price. I called a couple other places and the price is under $500. It's truly a shame I was being misled and now they lost a customer. I did call to voice my concern, however the situation was not rectified. I was told it's my decision where to have the work done. That reply was unprofessional, maybe they should have discounted the cost so they keep me as a customer. I operate a small car dealership in Naperville, so I guess they lost my business.

My friend has an Xfiniti that the dealer quoted $3,200 to replace both catalytic converters. Velasquez found 1 was still good and replaced the other for $800, and so if the other one later needs replacement it will still be only half what the Xfiniti dealer quoted for both.I recommended Velasquez to my friend based on my own experience/savings with my car. Highly recommend. They do just what is necessary, and for much less than Naperville/Aurora exhaust shops (and now dealers) charge.

Showed up on the spot with a break in exhaust - within minutes they had my car up and I was looking at the problem and being presented with a solution- done in 30 min. Very good and clean work, wait times are not bad at all, and the prices are more than fair. Only reason for not gettinf 5 stars, is because the customer service lady is rude. Otherwise, great place!

Walk in service. Only had to wait about 20 min (they said 30). Just had an upgraded muffler welded in on my brand new truck. We'll see how the welds hold up, otherwise they did an excellent job,and the cool thing was they will use customer parts. Some places won't. Also...they were open when a lot of places are not... (Example: My install was on Black Friday)

Had one new caliper leak on the left I wasn t told about. Pinched brake hose on the right after they replaced my brake that caused a malfunction to the pad. Feels like they could ve had better communication and done a better job.. Warranty wasn t offered.

The saying goes good work isn t cheap and cheap work isn t good. That applies very well to this shop. I brought my car in to have aftermarket mufflers put on and they botched the job. They didn t use the correct hangers and welded support directly to the body. Those broke 2 times. I brought it to a different shop, the exhaust works) which I recommend to anyone reading this review as it is just down the road. The guys at the exhaust works say that they need to correct the mistakes Velasquez made and that will cost me around $300. My wife and I's vehicle was in need of repair and, after checking reviews of local exhaust shops, we decided to choose Velazquez. We could not be happier! They charge more then the one in elgin . 200 for a muffler delete and elgin charges 120. Same work and same pieces. And overall when I denied paying the 200 they gave me attitude and the main guy slammed the door on me . Unprofessional and don t recommend this shop . Elgin I recommend %100

This is the one stop for exhaust needs big or small, bring your parts or have provided... these guys break it down and quote before any repair ! Wow very happy with my 3 inch header back exhaust on my 78 malibu.

I had a resonator installed about half the price of other places. They provided excellent work at a great price. I highly recommend them if you need any work done of your muffler system.

Had a exhaust pipe problem on my Toyota Camry. They did a botched job and stole my catalytic converter. Without my permission and then try to charge me for a new one. Police were involved and did nothing. Said it was a civil matter.

Didn't have work done at this location, but the tech who helped diagnose the problem was very knowledgeable and suggested a couple options for me. I'll have to write another review once I have them fix my muffler problem. But for now I'm just rating based on courtesy, knowledge, pricing and building accessibility.

I have been here since 10:33 with my girlfriend who likes this location(since its the only place she has been). From an unbiased perspective this place is a joke. I am still waiting for brakes and rotors. We have been the only business since we have arrived and we are still sitting here. I step out for a cigarette to see the mechanics sitting on there butts listening to music and laughing when we are spending $240 for brakes and rotors. The receptionist is unaware and fails to relay vital information regarding repairs. I asked the mechanic how long it usually takes, he responded " 2 hours". Are you serious lol? No you cannot be because I've sold cars for the past three years and I've never heard such a thing for brakes.....and rotors. First time I've visited and the last time I will come. If you need car work, go to discount tire in st. Charles. They value business and keep you abreast every step of the way. The owner should be disgusted with the service he is providing. Still sitting here 12:48 PM

Needed some exhaust work done and was looking for another quote. Called ahead to see if they had time, the lady answering the phone was very polite and answered my questions and said they had time to get me in.They showed me what needed to be fixed, gave me a couple options, was able to fix it right then and there for a very reasonable price and showed me the completed work before leaving. Would def recommend this place.

Another great experience at Velasquez Performance Exhaust. This time, had my wifes LandRover in , needed a new exhaust resonator, done in 2 hours, very good price. Also, I like the way they show you exactly what needs to be done on the vehicle. Office manager is very professional, and nice. Everything top notch!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

If I could give it a Zero I would! My husband brought our vehicle in to have a new muffler installed not only did they do a terrible job on the welding (look for yourself at the photo's) but they swapped the muffler that we brought to them for one that was a different part number and cheaper than the one that we gave them. Where our muffler went with the box, we have no idea. Also originally we were told a different price and when we went to pay it was more than we agreed upon. Overall this was a complete waste of money and I had to order the replacement parts all over again and had it done the right way. As you can see the welder didn't know what he was doing and did not have the welder set properly to get a clean weld.

Please i repeat please do not go here, they dont speak English and rip u off, they broke a pc on my vehicle and tried to make me pay for it but the labor would have been free, umm in wat world would i ever do that coming from a shop not a alley machanic, if u can look up another shop besides these guy (all 3 are bad) in aurora il. If u can get a price from your dealership first then go from there but u will be disappointed here i promise u

They have lost their touch and got lazy, Last two times I've went they have not put their all into their work. They barely even try anymore. Use to be my favorite shop now It's just sad. They messed my exhaust up even more than asked for a tip. Do not recommend.

Showed me an $80 replacement flex pipe with a flange that they said my car needed. I was under the car this weekend and found that they cut my old pipe and welded in a cheap $20 piece of flex pipe. They charged me for the $80 part. They cut and pieced crap together and made no effort to adapt pipes of different sizes together, instead they filled 1/4" gaps with crappy welds. A good weld is stronger than a clamp, these are not good welds. I will never go back

Best quality repair and cheapest oil change around.At $80 I got a Flex pipe fixed here for damn near half the price of Super Lube, who wanted $150.The Velasquez shop across the street (for some reason it's not listed on Google) does oil changes for $18, $2 less than Super Lube or Woodman's and $20 cheaper than Jiffy Lube.

Honest people and workers. They have replaced the cat converter in my car and the flex pipe, both quick jobs for reasonable prices. No BS, just good and quick exhaust repair.
