I m running a Teter-Bilt Delta closed deck short block in my Subaru STI. As we speak it s got over 3k miles and it Just threw down 630whp and 600tq on the dyno and the engine hasn t skipped a beat.

Teter is your go to guy for quality subaru engine builds, bought one for my brother long block still running strong a year ago, bought my bravo short block from him and running strong no issues, and not bad of pricing and engine build, next steps even more power, don't hesitate to contact him for any projects or builds. recommend, excellent service, great response time, will tell what he recommends.

Trenton is awesome and does incredible work. I have the 475 rated short block and it s been rock solid for over a year now. He always communicates with you and has an answer to everything Subaru EJ. I highly recommend contacting him for a short or long block!

Great service, very professional, and a hell of a builder! Teter built motor going on 3 years, and over 25k hitting over 600hp.Teter is the best local/Midwest EJ builder around and even coast to coast!I'm nothing but happy with the outcome and will go back with we want to turn things up even more.

Teter Automotive had built my old 2011 Subaru WRX s motor. Super easy to work with and the most reliable my car ever felt!I put over 40k miles on the engine and had 0 issues. Can t recommend them enough!

Good price, great quality, decent build time, and along with being local to me. Have had zero issues with anything from these guys. They re very easy to talk to and are very much able to help with whatever you need to fit your type of build. Highly recommend these guys. I ended up getting a nice long block to handle a conservative 500whp for my 03 wrx wagon and it s held up for over a year.

Teter Automotive is your one stop shop for performanceSubaru motors (and more) in the Chicagoland area. Trent sat down with me, discussed the build options and my power goals, and knocked it out the park building a drop in ready long block with timing. He was an invaluable asset or me as I learned how to rebuild my car, which as a non-mechanic was one of the most difficult challenges I have ever faced! If you're unsure of whether or not you can swap your own Subaru motor, you can, and Teter Automotive is there to help you get it done! Ordered a New built longblock with stock heads, this included all new parts NOT used also a case of break in oil. So i paid $11.5k for a drop in ready engine timed and everything. I was told from teter the build would take 8-16 weeks. I waited my 16 weeks and then waited a few more weeks after to actually contact him of the status of the build. Told me its almost done. Another two months went by and still nothing, so i contacted him once again and he said he is trying to caught up and its almost done. Another two months went by and guess what nothing.. So i reached out to him again and he told me its done just need a compression test and then it would be shipped out. So 9 months later i received the engine. Upon unwrapping it there was wet oil in random spots all over the block, also some of the threads looked very crusted and big sign of being used casting. I was just very disappointed in this entire process of this build, feeling like i had to beg for my engine to be done. Although he was kind enough to refund me $1k back for the troubles which was the best part of this all. I also never did get a case of break in oil and just cut my losses. Im now in the installing process of this all and hope this is a rock solid build. If i could go back and choose IAG or P2P i would jump in that direction. I hope this review can find help in others that are considering this shop. You live and learn i guess...

I purchased the Bravo shortblock from Trent and had a local Subaru shop install it. After following the break in procedure, I got the car tuned and took it to the track. I currently have 3k miles on the block and have not experienced any issues.

Teter was great. Always kept me well informed on the process. I had a lot of questions considering I was spending a lot of money on this build. But teter understood and helped me by answering every one of my questions and helped explain things as well. You feel a lot more comfortable with your money when people actually get back to you. Glad I came here.

Trent built my focus st motor and it s been fantastic. The knowledge he has of machine work and the ins and outs of blocks and the ability of blocks is out standing. Great turn around times even when busy. I would recommend this to everybody possible looking for a greatly built motor

Good work and well known in the community, if youre going to get a engine built in Illinois it should be by him especially if its a subaru.Flexible when it comes to payments and also carries AMSOIL.

Awesome engine builder! Had them do a ej257 build and full head work for my STi and couldn t be happier. Great customer support and answered questions I had quickly. Extremely knowledgeable and would highly recommend dealing with. I m not local to the shop but shipping was arranged with the parts packaged outstandingly. I bought the delta long block from Teter automotive, after about 13K miles with some free spirited driving she s holding very strong and runs better than before.
