I bring my cars here for all repairs, etc. The mechanics are quality especially Mike who has decades of experience. Erik and Andrew who handle the front of the store always help with understanding what is wrong showing the parts that are of concern. Today, I had an oil change, and they quickly completed it showing me a sample of my oil so I knew what it looked like before changing it. They are always very professional and don't try to add more to the cost of repairs or oil changes. I do my research, and they have beat the cost of other shop's pricing.

Eric was honest and straightforward with me. Showed me what the problem was with my car and showed me the old part when repair was done. Was nice to have so much information. They did a great job and at a fair price. Will be returning here for future work. So nice to leave a car repair shop and NOT feel like you over paid

Everything went smoothly! I brought my car in for drivers side mirror to be changed out. I was parked on the street and someone hit my mirror which had to be replaced. The Merlin s staff was friendly and efficient in helping me with any questions I had as well. I asked them to take a look at my car also for a routine inspection while it was In and they found that my tires needed to be rotated due to the wear on the treads. Nothing was pushed and I felt like I was in control the entire time! Thank you to the staff and crew at Merlin s for always being there when I need them and a great asset to the area!

The actual price was approximately $300 more than the quote. They gave me just a day ago. on top of that. I just had my car inspected at the dealership in knew exactly what was wrong with it. Still got charged a $30 fee which would ve been OK if the work would ve been closer to the amount of what the estimate was. I had to bascically bag for $10 off of that. The problem I had was more with integrity not so much the price. but hey you live and you learn. By the way, I took the day off of work to get the work done to no avail, so wasted one whole workday after I already have an appointment set for today.

Very flexible and accommodating. I was running late, but they still fit me in. And the same with another fellow in the waiting room.No ridiculous service suggestions.They're definitely my go-to!

Andrew took care of my 100k maintenance. Dude knows his stuff and kept me in the loop on any issues that popped up. I m used to working on my own vehicle, but I don t have the facilities to do so after transferring from Norfolk Naval Base. Andrew definitely made the experience less painful.

Edit: The owner and I did speak and he has restored some of my faith in this location. I appreciate his honesty and understanding.I brought in my car to have the roters replaced maybe a couple weeks ago since I knew that was an issue, but after they were done, my car started to make a strange squeal sound sometimes. I called on a Saturday, and they got me in on Monday, which is fine, but apparently, no one actually put me in the schedule. They still took me this morning with no issue, which is nice, but here is where I am upset. When I went to check out, the guy Eric was nice and let me know about what they did for my breaks. He then asked for $75, which I paid without thinking much about it. On my way home, I realized it was weird that i had to pay since it was something caused by their work. I checked the digital receipt I opted for, and there was an oil change on there! I have 2000 miles left before I needed another one. There is a sticker in my car that shows that, and i am sure that the condition of the oil and filter should have been a hint. I called back, and Eric was very apologetic and said he thought I said I wanted an oil change too. This is when he mentioned i wasn't originally on the schedule. Here's the thing, if they thought I wanted an oil change, why was it not mentioned at the time of check out along with the other items said about my car and what they did? Why is there now no new sticker? Why am I only allowed a credit and not a refund of my money??????

Great little neighborhood shop. Ive seen these guys do everything from oil changes to engine replacements. Fair and reasonable prices and great work.

Couldn't get a broken exhaust bolt out it took them a two hour still didn't get it fixed and cost me $200 and they were lazy and did not know what the heck they were doing so I had him put it back together with the stuff still in the exhaust manifold and it still cost $200 don't raise your money they don't know what they're doing and they don't have no certifications of mechanics

I normally don t write reviews unless customer service is exceptional. Merlins at 2480 S Eola is indeed the place you go if you want quality, professionalism, knowledge and a passion for their occupation. I had rack and pinion replaced along with an annoying rattling that was happening. Turned out to be gasket between two pipes on exhaust that was flapping around. Needless to say, Merlins closed and Kevin Miller and Karl Truite stayed late and took care of my car issues. Kevin went above and beyond what I expected. Hard to find places that are honest, courteous, and knowledgeable. Thank you for the great work Kevin!Service: Steering & suspension repair

We had an amazing experience at Merlin, in Aurora. Andrew was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We expected the repairs to take a few days, but he had it done same day and for much less than we expected.I've been using different auto services in the Chicagoland area all my life (55 years) , and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Had my passenger side window fixed, front breaks and routers, and cleaning in the rear. Owner was there and very nice guy helped me understand everything and before he would say anything he would go check it first, show me then ask me if I wanted to get it fixed. No pushing or upselling at all which made me very comfortable. Also Eric I believe he's the master tech, he does a hell of a job. They worked with me to do only the work that needed to be done. Need to go back to get the emergency brake adjusted as that was put on new but is not stopping anything.

This location was amazing! I originally came to use a coupon I got in a mailer, but they offered me a further discount they were running in-store. The team was so friendly and courteous and worked with me on the price - they really understand the financial bind people are in right now. They all went above and beyond to help me out, and did a wonderful job on the repair! I ve been to this shop multiple times over the past year or so with different issues with my bmw and they ve managed to take care of it for a decent price. I ve had my brakes, alignment, and a list of other stuff done here and so far so good. The guys are pretty nice and knowledgeable definitely worth checking out.

I used Merlins in Aurora for the brakes on my Honda Accord. They did an excellent job and had the best price in the area. Also comes with a great warranty. Erik is very helpful and knowledgeable.
