2023 Update:After coming back from our vacation, my car sounded like its exhaust system had failed. I took the car to Greg and one option was a complete replacement that would cost me $2600 or more. Before letting me know, Greg had already called another mechanic in the area who does exhaust/muffler work and he could address the problem with less than $300. He would take my car to his shop, get it fixed the next day, I would pay him and Greg would take no money! This is a man I continue to blindly trust and recommend to anyone who wants an honest opinion about their car issues.2019 Original Post:This is the best place to have your car inspected; maintained or repaired. I don t know much about cars, but I know a lot about people and Greg is a man of his word, very professional, friendly, and above all honest and fair. I had a significant oil leak and took my car to another mechanic. He replaced a small pipe and charged me $400. A few weeks later no oil in the car. I took the car to Greg and he found and corrected the issue quickly and charged me less than I expected! Hey, strongly recommend Greg. He is such an honest person you won t find in this business. My Honda Civic power windows not working. This guy fixed it in few minutes. He was candid and respectful. He charged me just $20.Guys, if you have any issues in your car, I will suggest first must visit him, I bet you will not be disappointed!Thank you Greg!Rehman

Greg is just a gentle soul, a very nice and a caring human being and his work ethics demonstrate those traits. We have a 2006 Honda Pilot and suddenly saw that scary "check engine" light. This was stressul since we didn't want to spend a lot of money on this old vehicle and also were not in a position to buy new one. We took to Greg and he checked and gave us the reason behind and the options we had without spending exorbitant amount of money. And he didn't charge anything. I had the pleasure to meet Greg personally when my civic got a flat tire. I ended up in his parking lot calling road side assistance and looked up and realized there was a mechanic shop right in front of me. I went in and Greg didn't hesitate to help me change my flat tire and get my spare on. My spare was on in 10 minutes when I would of had to wait hours for road side assurance. Greg is a rare breed. He's one of the last honest mechanics out there who does INCREDIBLE work and tries to save you money any time he can. My family and I found out about him 4 or 5 years ago and we won't take our cars anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend him to everyone. God bless Greg and thank you!

I've had the most amazing experience with Greg. We trust this man because he has earned it! You cant find people like this, who offer such honest service and prices. Don't just take my word for it. The next time you need work done, get a second look from Greg. He has the genuine knowledge and experience with all sorts of things, and if he doesn't he will tell you straight up. I've never had an issue, or worried about my car (or the other 4 cars in the family) when it's in his care. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I've been burnt on suspensions, replaced parts prematurely, and generally getting up-charged by every other mechanic I've met. This is the only place I feel good leaving, and I wish we had 100 greg clones all over the state, maybe we'd save enough money to get chicago out of debt.

After using a couple different car repair places with bad results and high prices, we decided to give Greg's a try. We have 4 autos in our household and one of them is always needing something. Greg did an absolute great job on our van and took a LOT of his time to try and work with existing parts so as not to cause us a huge bill by buying new parts.His final bill was over $500 less than what he had thought it was gonna cost.He is a VERY fair guy and knows his stuff.We would highly recommend Greg's my mechanic.

Greg runs a great, reliable shop. I only trust my cars with two people; my mechanic brother and Greg. The shop is trustworthy and has honest pricing. I recently ran into a problem with a battery I had Greg put in over a year ago. Greg got back to me immediately, talked about what was happening and he got it replaced very quickly. I would recommend anyone looking for a great shop to give Greg a visit!

In the 20 years I've lived in the Chicago area, Greg is the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic that I've found. I'm the owner of a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, and being from Minnesota, got into the habit of taking it back home to have it maintained, rather than being told that the "tires are out of round" or the "the halogen fluid is low" by a guy in the city. In the small town I come from, people are known for their integrity, and Greg is the first mechanic in Illinois I've found who lives up to that standard.I found Greg through an online search when I moved to Aurora in 2012 and needed some immediate work. In the past 5 years, I've gone to Greg for a number of issues, and every time, he's been incredibly helpful and forthright. My car is a 2001 Jeep Cherokee---she now has 215,000 miles on the odometer, has been stolen and recovered, driven through city traffic and out of snowbanks. To say I love my car would be an understatement. The last time I needed a repair, I asked Greg, given the age and mileage, whether it made sense to put more money in or to retire her back in Minnesota. He gave me a clear assessment of the problem, but told me that my beloved Jeep still had some life left in her, and found a solution to the problem. I'm incredibly grateful that Greg was there.Greg is also clearly knowledgeble and experienced, but even more, he's a genuinely good guy. He clearly cares about what he does, and isn't out just to make money. I never have to worry that he's overcharged me or done something that didn't need to be done. I'll keep going to Greg as long as my Jeep keeps running and in the future.

I absolutely trust my vehicle maintenance to Greg's My Mechanic. Greg is super fair, and will not do any repairs unless he discusses it with you first. Very honest guy. Prices are real decent too.

Greg has serviced several of my vehicles over the past 20 years. His service is reliable and efficient and most importantly I feel his integrity and honesty is par excellence. His prices are fair and reasonable and if he can't do the work,he'll refer to someone who can.

Took my car to the dealership and they were quoting me some ridiculous prices. So I decided to get a second opinion and thankfully I took it here.The dealership wanted to charge me more than $600 for a simple repair. Turns out I was missing a clamp. Greg put a new clamp on and didn t charge me a thing.He could ve lied and said whatever and charged me a couple hundred or so but he didn t. I ll always appreciate that. A trust worthy mechanic is worth more than gold.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The only place I trust, and I was a mechanic. Greg has always been completely straight with me, done a great job with the work he performed, and even recommended not performing work when it was not needed. What more can you ask in a field that is overwhelmed with con artists (and I have seen them first hand). Greg is top notch in my book.

I have known Greg for most of my life and would not only trust him with my car repairs but with my life and the life of my closest family and friend if need be. This man is kind, caring and honest, which is difficult to find in a mechanic. If you want good work done at a fair price, this is the place for you!

Greg is the best. I always go to him for his automotive expertise. He is fair, prices are awesome on labor and repairs. Just a all around good and awesome guy. I live in Oswego and bypass all other shops to come to Greg's.

This guy has my business forever. Firestone told me that I need breaks. Greg looked at it, explained why I was hearing noises. And that I don't need the breaks. No issues, here. I left without spending a dime, except for the tip I choose to give him for his time and honesty. It's a small place, so I'd call ahead. But, this man has my business for life.Service: Brakes

Greg is an extremely knowledgeable and fair mechanic. He always gives honest and straightforward recommendations, and never over charges in any way, and even recommends which repairs are absolutely necessary. My family has been coming to him for years now, and I fully recommend him.

Greg is smart and fair. He is mild mannered and he is HONEST. I don t trust mechanics because I feel they are con artist in general. Greg is the only one I trust. Also, I can NOT imagine him yelling or screaming at anybody. I even send my daughter, who is only 23, to see Greg. In fact, he has my daughters car at this very moment. #TeamGreg

Took my old car for service at gerg's and it came out new. Absolutely no issues and it's been almost 3 months since he fixed it.Took his advice on coolant leak issue and he quoted me fair price for it. Definitely recommend for any car issue. Great customer service.

Greg provided amazing service. My car battery and alternator went bad at random on my way to work. I commute from Dekalb to Aurora, I had no ride home. Greg replaced the battery and the alternator on the spot and had to stay late to do so
