Top shelf all the way! Mitchell and Susie explained entire process. Seamless flow between Farmers , Gerber and Enterprise and my car was ready two weeks early! I mBlown away ! Thank you so much !

Bad communication between shop and insurance. The app was showing my car was in repair when actually it was pushed to the side. I had personally went to the shop, then called to find out what was going on. The shop said they were waiting on the insurance, and my insurance said they were waiting on the shop. At the end, the shop had forgotten to send the second estimate of the cost of the car. At the end, after more than two months, my cars was a total lost.On the past, this shop had done a way better job communicating with the customer. This time it was really bad.Is very unpleasant to be in the middle of two business doing their job, to get to communicate with each other! Is horrible to make a call to the insurance and find the proper person on the phone and then had to make them call the shop to find out that a single paper wasn't sent, after weeks of dropping the car.

Beyond helpful and friendly staff. Everyone I have met there has been very kind and understanding. They're always super busy there, but they do tremendous work and treat everyone with respect. Couldn't be happier with the final result on my car.The only issue I had was the old fashion payment methods. Really put me in a bind when I couldn't use my preferred payment methods. I blame corporate for dropping the ball on that and not supporting their staff with more modern equipment.All in all, though I had a great experience at this location.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Huge thank you to Eduardo for the thorough exam for my car. I went to a different gerber location previously and they did not put the time or effort into looking into every small detail after my accident. Eduardo took his time, very detail-oriented, and great at communicating the next steps to get my vehicle repaired. He was even so kind to tape my bumper that was falling to the ground due to my accident until i m able to make an appointment to get it fixed.

Please never take your vehicle to this shop. Nor to any Gerber collision anywhere. Not a trust worthy shop and not a trust worthy company.

This was the worst experience I have ever had as a customer. Lie after lie. Went from 2 weeks to 40 days! They lost my key. Everything that could possibly go wrong did! I have never ran out of a place faster in my life!! SO MANY LIES and I called them out on many of them and they had no answer because they were not on the same page as each other when they lie. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Do not use them ever when referred by insurance!!! AwfulServices: Carburetor cleaning, Painting, Body & Trim

Terrible service. Used this location for years with multiple situations. They used to be run really well, but the staff turnaround is insane and they can't seem to get it together. I recommend finder somewhere else. I know I will.

We have used Gerber for several years. Things appears to have gone down hill-perhaps related to lack of parts & staff. Even so, they could still communicate with the customer! The estimator never called us to say what the initial finds were on the car. We had to call them to say, Hey, how's the car?? WE have requested multiple times to provide an update with the status of repair with no one returning our calls! Recently asked for an email, detailing parts needed-no email either! Communication is key people! Customers are more understanding if you left us know the status.Service: Body & Trim

My van had body work done at Gerber Collision & Glass Repair at the Lake Street location in Aurora. My van was hit in the rear by a snowplow which broke a taillight and dented the back panel. Replacing the panel would have been too costly for the value of my vehicle. Mr Evans, the owner of this location, explained our options, gave us his expert opinion and helped us decide which direction to proceed within our budget. We were very happy with the frequent communication from Mr Evans to give updates on the progress. We were kept in the loop of everything being done. We were happy with the final product. I feel that Mr Evans went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the work. You can tell Mr Evans takes pride in his business and wants the customer to be satisfied with the service they receive from his shop. I would highly recommend this location to friends and family.Service: Body & Trim

I have used gerber collision for every body work on any of my cars. I have gone several times to the gerber collision in Lake St, Aurora and both times everything went well. They would call me if there was any issues be of parts, insurance, etc. This time I had a claim in June 2022. Took the vehicle in and gerber took all the pictures and information. They had my insurance information too and told me they had everything they needed. I left waiting for them to call me so I could take the vehicle for repairs. After a month and no contact from gerber I called and they informed me my insurance cancelled. I called my insurance and they informed me they never received any information from Gerber. I used the app of my insurance and took the pictures myself and all the information. I received a claim number and even a check for the estimate. I arrived on 20 September the sunniest Gerber could take my car. I go in to be told my insurance claimed was still showing cancelled in their system. I showed them all the paperwork with the claim number and still they wouldn t take it. My insurance told me the claim is good and still open. Now here I sit in the shop waiting for my insurance to contact you and get this squared away. I m extremely upset due to the lack of communication. When I made the appointment if I was told the claim was showing cancelled I had three weeks to get it straightened out instead of me sitting down waiting for this to be handle. Hopefully this won t hurt me and I have to wait longer than I have to for the repairs.Service: Body & Trim

I brought my car here for repairs after I was involved in a hit and run accident and it was stolen from their parking lot The staff would also give me contradicting information every time they would call me or I would reach out for updates on my vehicles repair. I called them October 27th for an update on my vehicle and they told me that it would be ready the next day. The next day I received a call asking if I picked up my vehicle or authorized someone to pick up my vehicle because it was missing from their lot. I did not. Do not take your car here if you do not want to risk it being stolen.Service: Body & Trim

In 3 years, We have had the unfortunate luck to have been involved in 4 car accidents (1 of those resulting in a total loss), a side swipe while I was parked in the street, and a suspension collapse while driving causing massive damage to our front end and another vehicle. Fortunately we were not at fault for anything but the suspension collapse.All of these incidents we have used Gerber Collision and Glass on N Lake Street. They made each daunting experience seem a bit easier. They are thorough and answer questions you didn't think to ask. They are friendly and professional and make you feel like family. They are quick to get accurate estimates out, they handle everything with the insurance companies without issues, and they keep you updated every step of the way.They really care about their clients.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I brought my Altima into your store expecting to have to pay for the repair that Aurora Nissan Dealer told me was necessary. To my great surprise you guys were able to fix it "while I waited" AWESOME!I live close by, but was never in your store until now. I found you guys to be very honest and very helpful!I'm grateful for what you guys did, you saved me around $510.00. I would recommend these guys.

Had my first bumper incident, very small, but was super anxious about the whole process of getting it fixed. Made my app, came in a little early and was taken care of right away by the kind front desk lady. Informed her this was my first time so I did not know the process. Then the GM Rick came out to assist me and was extremely understanding and helped me through the whole thing!! Definitely recommend.Service: Body & Trim

These guys are great! Rick Evans got us in sooner than I thought possible and did an amazing job on our van. They cleaned it inside and out before pick up. Additionally, they even sifted through the trash to find an item in a paper bag I had left in the vehicle which was mistaken to be trash. Totally my fault for leaving it there! We called them after pick up and they searched the trash and found the item. These guys go above and beyond! Excellent work. Very friendly. We will definitely return to them with any body work in the future.

This place really is amazing ! I couldn t have asked for a better company to take care of my car . It was wonderful from start to finish . Rick and Michelle were very extremely kind . Rick was awesome and always kept me updated on the repair process every step of the way. Which does not happen very often in other places . My family and I know where to take our cars from now on if they are ever in need of service . Highly recommend this place !!!!Service: Body & Trim

I brought in my Mitsubishi because I wanted a second opinion on the estimate that was given to my by the insurance agency. Gerber was very professional and transparent throughout the whole process. The car was fixed really quickly and it looks back to factory spec; I'm not saying I took a feeler gauge to all the panel gaps, but it looks good.Anyway I have to do this, Gerber Collision and Glass is highly "wreck" amended

I had my fender and door replaced by Gerber collision and glass on 1313 n lake street, Aurora, Illinois, 60506 in dec 2020 and they stated that there is a lifetime warranty on the repair. The fender flare was removed and installed when the fender and door was replaced. This week the fender flare fell off while I was driving. Today an agent at the branch inspected my vehicle and refused to do a warranty repair because he stated that in the pictures when the car left everything looked ok. My argument was that it should never have fallen off it they fitted the fender flare correctly. I would like the fender flare to be correctly installed and the lifetime warranty to be honored. He stood there and didn t even look at the system for a quote and told me that the repair cost would be $649. A figure out of his head. All my other fender flares are attached except the one that was removed and installed by Gerber in December . He accused me of the vehicle being in an accident recently which is not true. The front was in this condition and the fender flare should not have fallen off while I was driving if Gerber did proper quality work.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Car delayed multiple times. Large scratches put into adjoining body work. Seals/weather striping layed in place but not secured properly. Car reeks of paint. Dust everywhere. Cupholder broken. Good front office staff but extremely poor service otherwise. Unfortunately, I have had reason to visit this establishment! Two wrecked cars...In both cases, going here made the experience much more manageable and actually pleasant, under the circumstances.Every person with whom I spoke and/or interacted was friendly, caring, professional and infinitely helpful.I recommend them to anyone needing body work or glass repair on their autos.

Great work on a hood dent and replacement windshield from road damage. Windshield was replaced with a PGW part and has had no leaks or wind noise. The windshield optics are as good as the original. The hood dent was repaired professionally and came out of the shop looking like new. Staff at Gerber worked well with my insurance company. They arranged for a loaner car with a local car rental company that picks up and drops off from their location. Thanks to Mayra Salinas and all the staff at Gerber Aurora for taking care of the details and making my repair as painless as possible.

I brought in my 2020 Hyundai Kona after a minor crash & staff was super friendly! They fixed my car within a day only; all while keeping me updated on the process. I absolutely reccommend this shop.
