After a semi side swiped me on the overpass bridge coming from Southbound 355 into the suburbs for work on my Bday morning these guys helped me get back on wheels!!! Worked with them several times through Fox Valley Glass and we were always happy with the results and I can now say the same for my own vehicle! Thanks for getting me back on the road in style City Auto Wreckers and see ya on the flip side!!!

These guys have the best customer serviceBought a used part back in 2021, asked for a invoice in 2024 they made it right away, then had to redo it under a business name they got it done again without raising a eye brow. Excellent customer service would definitely do business again

I had a very poor first experience with this company. When I could not find the part I was looking for on their website on December 20, 2017, I called them and was connected to a saleswoman. She explained that for parts that they do not have listed online, they open the yard on Saturdays for customers to search for the part on junk vehicles. She told me I could come on on Saturday (DEC 23rd) between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM to look for the part I needed. I thanked her and said I would be in.On Saturday the 23rd, I prepared the tools I would need, dressed in layers and work clothes for the cold weather, and drove 20 min. to their location. I found an empty parking lot and an 8.5 x 11 paper posted on the door saying they were closed for the holidays.All they had to do to avoid this was let me know they would be closed, or to update their website and Google Map listing so that when I searched to find directions, I would have been notified they were closed. Instead they needlessly wasted 1.5 hours of my time, and created an experience that detracts from their brand and reputation.In this digital 21st century, I don't see how businesses can survive by treating customers and prospects this way. All I know if that if I treated my customers this way, I would not stay in business very long.

I wish I could leave a (0 zero) star, for how rude sales man Frank is.I never got a chance to explained the troubled part we received from them that was being returned. good luck buyers!

Used OEM parts at fair prices. On Saturday, you can go into the yard and pull your own parts. Used Tires and Batteries too.

Had a great time looking for my car parts. The team working on 6/24/2023 were very friendly and helpful. They took the time to help me locate the part I was looking for and advised me on how to get a better live out of it. It is one of the best Junky yard experience I had in 2023. I will be going back.

TRASH COMPANY! HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH FRANK AND GENE- REALY RUDE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY DELIVER GARBAGE PARTS AND TAKE FOREVER TO PICK THEM UP. WHEN THEY DO FINALY PICK THEM UP THEY WANT TO CHARGE A 20% RESTOCK FEE. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Hey, I wanted to get rid of 2 cars that have been sitting here doing unable to run. I called City Auto Wreckers, Jim answered my call. He took my information and gave me an offer, he was honest professional and understanding. He took my cars with out titles, the whole process was incredibly simple. If I remember the drivers name it was Eric and he was almost as cool as Jim, what can I say Jim was the bomb. Thanks guys, it's nice working with people who get the job done, and do what they say! I would use them again, and again.

If your looking to find some parts for your car, and you know what you are doing. This is a solid place. Prices are somewhat reasonable and you can pretty much find anything if you look hard enough.

City Auto Wreckers gave the best price for our vehicles. The people we spoke to on the phone were polite. Chad from City Auto Wreckers towed two of our cars within two weeks. He quickly got the jobs done and was very polite and considerate both times.

So funny how they are good at taking your money but if I need to return something? Forget it. They go from Mr Hyde to Dr jekyll in no time. Very unprofessional and that is why I will no longer buy parts from there or do any type of business. Or advise anyone to buy from there.

Our 2005 Honda Accord died and we decided to junk it instead of trying to sell it. I talked with Jim this morning and he sent Chad out this afternoon. Both Jim and Chad were friendly, professional, and answered our questions. We were paid top dollar for the car which we appreciated. We'll definitely be recommending them to our friends.

Excellent place to sell your old car too! I had an old VW that wasn't worth for me to fix. they were super fast at replying to the email inquiry I sent and had someone out to pick up the car the next morning. Super friendly and professional! this was ny first time selling a car and they guided me through all the steps without being condescending and offered me a very fair price. The pick up driver was super courteous and respectful of the property (lawn etc). Highly recommend them to anyone who is trying to sell a junk car!

Avoid doing business with this place at all costs. Bought a windshield told them it was missing a seal in order to do proper installation, spoke to FRANK, told me there ain't nothing wrong the windshield something is wrong with me. Talk about great customer service right? Not.

I brought my old SUV in after receiving a fair quote over the phone. I was pleasantly surprised to find the final price was well above the quote due to the quality of the catalytic converter. Many other wreckers would have just paid the original quote keeping the excess value. I want to thank Jim Coulter for his honesty and integrity during this transaction. I ll definitely pass this experience on to my friends.

Had to Junk my old car. Chad was the driver that came. He helped me get into the trunk which was stuck shut. I offered him a tip but he refused to take it. He was very helpful and understanding. I was very blessed by his kindness and professionalism.

Really unprofessional I came to pick up an item I ordered. Walked up to the desk but he seemed busy eating and sent me to another person. After that person got off he pushed me off to yet another person. After going through 4 people I was finally able to tell them what I neededed. They don't know how to speak to customers. Better off using another place with a wider selection.

I had a car I needed to salvage. I tried several (4) times to call them over a weeks time, left messages, and NO ONE picked up the phone or called me back concerning my message.

Called and asked for an item in a specific color, and was told that that particular part was available. Asked again to confirm the color, and was told the item was the color I was looking for, which was black. Than I asked if I would be able to return the item if for whatever reason the color did not match, and was told that I would be able to do so. So I placed the order, and in a few days drove 4 hours to pick up the item. When I got there, the item that I received was grey and not black, like I was told it would be. So that I told them that I wanted a refund. In response to that, I was told that I could either get store credit or get part of the money back. Basically I was lied to twice, and had my time wasted. Would not recommend to anyone. Poor customer service and just overall handle to deal with, when there other places that won't BS you at every turn.

Our daughter s car died just outside of Aurora, IL. Jim Coulter was super helpful and efficient. He made the exchange go smoothly and painless! Would recommend City Auto Wreckers to anyone!
