I thought Tom was a nice guy until immediately after purchase. There were 5 issues with my Rv that according to Tom my RV was gone over front to back The first thing was the Furnace wouldn't stay running. Secondly The Propane Regulator wasn't working properly Third my Water Heater ignitor was bad. Fourth the outside light wiring contact was corroded. Lastly the sink faucet was extremely loose. How could that be missed during an inspection. I contacted Tom regarding these issues and after a few minutes we were disconnected. I tried to immediately call him back twice and no answer. Nor did he try to call me back My suggestion is if you must buy from this Dealer. Demand you have an outside Rv Dealer check your RV before you buy. It cost me $929.00 to repair my RV after the purchase.BUYER BEWARE

Tom is absolutely top notch to work with! They installed LED lights and new flooring in the beautiful used Newmar Canyonstar we recently purchased from them. We found it online while traveling. Everything was as described. They gave us an extremely fair trade in for our older RV. If you want peace of mind at an outstanding dealership, this is the place to buy from. They exceeded our expectations!

Wow! What a great experience! This is THE place to go to buy your motorhome!! We have shopped throughout the United States and so glad we bought this one here! No BS extra stuff! I phoned several places to have them look at my brakes of my travel trailer, I had many messages on my truck saying check the brakes of the travel trailer. I could not take a chance of travelling knowing I might have a brake problem. Preston found room in the schedule and they gave it a good examination. The truck s seven pin receiver was in need of cleaning and the battery was turned off by a switch, they double checked everything, I have not had a problem since then. Thanks very much, my trip was saved.

My small trailer developed a pretty good leak while I was traveling. Tried to trouble shoot but didn't stop it. Preston worked me in the schedule and checked it all over. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and worked fast. I felt he knew what he was doing and that I can finish my seasonal trip staying dry. Side note: I felt the charge was very reasonable!

We bought an rv a few months back. We have had other campers but this experience has been the best. I had questions after the sale and tom has been fantastic in his quick and helpful responses. I highly recommend them.

Tom was very helpful when we ran into a problem with a slide. We were on our way home and trying to get home to a sick baby. Our slide motor quit and we were stuck. They did not have anyone to send out, and really had no one to be able to work on it. They called us back and tried to help trouble shoot over phone. We weren't far from them and when we couldn't fix it on our own, we were able to drive back roads to them and they stopped what they were doing to get our slide in so we could continue back home. We really appreciated them helping us, even if they couldn't fix the issue at that time. They at least got us back on our way so we could get home to our sick baby.

We purchased our 2013 Thor Hurricane 34e from Tom two years ago! Everything worked then and everything works now! We wouldn't buy anywhere else. Thanks Shabbona Creek!!

We had a blowout on Interstate 80 in our 45 ft motorhome driving home to CA from MI. We called our Good Sam roadside assistance number. It took some time but when a local tow company called we were told the equipment needed to tow us was 3 hours away. Coincidentally we also lost all our house power. It was dark and we did not want to be stuck on the shoulder any longer. The tow company told us that Shabbona Creek RV was 13 miles away so we drove very slowly to their facility. At 8 am when they opened we explained why we were there. After being told that they had a full calendar but would see what they could do, they plugged us into power. At 1:30 pm they pulled the RV into a bay and started work. The wiring harness had to be rebuilt and we needed 2 tires. They worked until 10:30 pm then hooked us up to power and water. On Saturday they worked from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. We cannot say enough positive things about the staff, mechanics and owner. They also sell motorhomes and we will return to them when we are ready to trade up.

The team at Shabbona are fantastic. So friendly and accommodating. We had a suspension problem on our 5th wheel trailer that had to be repaired before we could continue on our trip. This happened on a Saturday. Even though their service department was closed one of their techs came out on his own time to see if he would be able to get us going. Unfortunately it needed much more work then originally thought. They allowed us to park on their property for the weekend with electrical hookup. They made room in their schedule to get us repaired and back on the road by Monday afternoon.

Shabbona creek has great customer service. We bought a used class A and within the 1st month the slide wouldn't come in. They came to our home with a motor to fix it. When we have questions Preston is always very helpful. We had a tow bracket and brake buddy installed, Frank is very helpful in the service dept. Everyone is great to work with

Great service! The motor home we purchased was in great condition & totally recommended for our family size too! Preston taught us all we needed to know about the motor home we purchased. No question was too silly or laughed at .... he wanted to educate & ensure we were comfortable with our purchase before we rolled out of his lot. Very professional and so glad we went with Shabbona Creek RV!

By far the best dealer experience Adam and I have had of any kind. They all had great attitudes and everyone was very informative. Great instructional tour of our camper before we left. The guys cleaned it up real nice and even fixed a few things. Ordered us a new awning without us even knowing...completely unnecessary but so so much appreciated! Very thoughtful people, running a great show. Highly recommended!

Discovered a burned up wheel bearing, thanks to a driver shouting at us while on the freeway. Upon calling the service department, we were told to bring it in and they would work us in. Brian quickly found the bearing was shot. They found parts locally and had it repaired by the end of the day. Thanks again for a job well done. I would definitely recommend them.

Tom runs a very nice operation. He is very approachable and straight-up about everything. All his staff are friendly, courteous, and they make sure things are right. If something is not right they address it right away.

Working withTom and his team at Shabbona Creek RV was a delight. They made sure our new Newmar Baystar was perfect! The service team did a A+ job installing our tow vehicle hitch, base plate, and wiring and made sure we knew everything about our new home on wheels before we left. I would highly recommend Shabbona Creek RV!

We were having brake issues with our travel trailer while going across country. Unannounced they took us right in and replaced a defective part. Very professional and accommodating. Stacy in service as well as our mechanic were awesome!!!

Had work done on our Newmar motorhome. We are very very pleased. Excellent work, reasonable price, and timely completion. When I buy my next motorhome this is where I am going to look first.

Awesome service. Awesome people. Traveling thru and fridge went down. Called and got in immediately. Fixed our problem quickly and got us back on the road. Wish all RV dealers were this awesome! Plus they had great inventory!

Update: Six months later Shabbona Creek sent me a bill $210. They hadn't received a check from AirExcel/Coleman for their diagnostics yet and thought I should pay it. I had to explain to them how warranties work and told them they were owed that money from AirExcel/Coleman. The service guy started getting loud with me on the phone, saying "you walked out of here with a free air conditioner!" To which I said "No. I paid full price for a product that failed within the warranty period. You offered to exchange it. I removed the old one. I installed the new one. Your tech spent less than 5 minutes diagnosing a bad compressor." His reply was "Well, I spent 2 hours on hold with AirExcel and I need to get paid for that."Needless to say, I won't be going back to Shabbona Creek RV.Great place. A Coleman rooftop AC unit I had purchased from Camping World stopped blowing cold air 9 months after I bought it. Even though I hadn't purchased my RV AC unit from them, Shabbona Creek RV stepped up and replaced my unit under warranty when Camping World refused to replace it.

Ran my credit without permission.The salesman told us, because of the age of the RV we needed to go through a particular lender, but we had to wait until we got a few things in order first and go through a particular lender.So we filled out a credit app to save time and when we got "these things" in place we would go through them. Well...They ran my credit anyway!Stating that he wanted to see who could approve us... Wait, what?! You told me during the application process that we had to wait for the Credit Union paperwork first and there was no need to process the application until THAT lender's paperwork was completed, and it wasn't!Thanks for nothing! Very disappointing...

I would give them negative stars if possible.I made an appointment to have an estimate done, Stacie was a nice as could be. I dropped it off Monday morning at 9 set it up for the insurance adjuster to come by the next day .On Tuesday, not only was the estimate not done but The service manager (Stacie )screamed over the phone at me" if you don't like it come and get you coach" at least 3 times.Against my better judgement I decide to let them do the estimate.2 days later I received a phone call telling me they have found the problem and insurance won't cover it.They didn't find the problem they narrowed it down to a "ground fault "in the ceiling, The only problem is it wasn't a ground fault. Its a dead short .They never found the "broken wire ", they just know it was not from lighting or a power surge.I asked how much was the bill and to please stop working on it and put it back together.When they put it back together they left several wires disconnected so the circuit breaker wouldn't trip.If that wasn't bad enough,They went to the extreme of staging photos of televisions working however they plugged into outlets they didn't belong in .Writing on the estimate that everything works, however it doesn't. Even after all of the wires they left disconnected were hooked back up. The Aladdin system in the dash does not work , the in motion satellite doesn't work. neither does the Girrard awningThen sending that to my insurance company after I paid there bill .I took it to another dealer they told me it was most likely hit by lightning .Just as I suspected and relayed to Stacie on Monday

We were on our first cross country trip with RV. At the end of a long days drive, a low bridge took out our AC unit. Got ahold of Preston at Shabbona and he and his team took great care of us! They met us at closing time, patched us up and got us in first thing the next day to make repairs. Couldn't have asked for better service! Thank you!!

I recently experienced a major electrical storm while camped in the area in my motorhome. Evidently, a nearby lightning strike fried my inverter. We asked nearby family if they knew of anyone nearby, and my wife's cousin did some asking around, and then gave us the name of these folks. I called on Wednesday & was able to set up an appointment for Friday, as well as order a replacement inverter. When I rolled in on Friday morning, Stacey & Andy were waiting for me, and I was on my way back to my campsite 2 hours later with a newly installed inverter. Andy even walked my roof for me to look for any damage from a possibly direct lightning strike. These folks are amazing! They even gave me a 10% discount on the inverter for being retired military. :) As a point of reference, I also spoke to a mobile RV mechanic who said he wouldn't even be able to come out for another 2 weeks, and wouldn't even be able to get me into their shop for another week. With Labor Day weekend 1 day away, if it weren't for Shabbona Creek RV, our motorhome would have been without power to most outlets until the inverter was replaced. Super friendly, personable, knowledgeable, & efficient, I just can't say enough good things about Shabbona Creek RV. :) They were there for me 110 , and I will happily sing their praises at every opportunity.

I was camping about 12 miles away and began having electrical issues. I took my 5th wheel to Shabonna Creek and was leaving in an hour fully repaired. From the service manager to the young repairman, I was treated with great courtesy. The service manager got a hold of the extended warranty people and she had everything worked out by the time the repair was complete! The repairman took care of things very expertly. I would strongly recommended this business to anyone in need of some rv help.

Visiting from Texas on our maiden voyage. Had some trouble with the windshield wiper. Spoke to Stacy at 8am. And our issue was resolved with a temporary fix by 11am. Polite, courteous and professional. Thanks y'all.

Just talked to Jake in the parts department and he was very helpful! We have a motorhome with headlights burned out on right side. He was extremely helpful in keeping us going safely down the road. I would highly recommend this facility.
