I have alot of experience owning older cars and going to repair shops. Getting my car fixed here is one the best car repair experiences I've ever had. I was trying to decide between a shop close to work or close to home. Very glad I chose this one and will bring my car again.

Tim and Rado were amazing. Both trustworthy and upstanding guys. Tim showed us around the shop and showed us all the excellent work they were doing. They care about quality and doing the job right. I would trust them with any car repairs I have in the future! 10 out of 5 stars!

If only I could give Magnum Automotive a 10/5 stars I would.Tim was extremely patient and very communicative with us throughout the process. He would always assure us that he s doing the best that he can to fix our vehicle. We fully trust him as our mechanic.He s working and calling both my insurance company and I, but despite that he still fixed the vehicle at a decent length of time regardless.He has made a forever customer from us. There will never be another repair shop we will go to besides Magnum Automotive.Thank you so much to Tim and all of the mechanics that worked on our vehicle. Grateful not only because of fixing our vehicle, but also being extremely patient and understanding.

I trust Tim, in his line of work that's important. He does great work and he's honest about it.You literally can't ask for more in a mechanic.Update: just took my car back to Tim... because he does good work and I trust him. There's another issue, I'm going to bring it back to Tim in a few for that too.Just because people might want to see that there are returning customers.Services: Auto body & trim repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection, Side view mirror repair

This place has horrible customer service. Never try to mend things with me when I was rudily handle and my car was filthy when I got it back.

As a family we've been coming to Magnum and Tim for years. He is by far the most honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable mechanic we've dealt with. He is highly sought after and doesn't suffer fools easily. If you can understand that, you'll have a great mechanic who will go the extra mile for you and provide you with great work and reasonable prices.

So glad that I found this place. I just got back from 10 days vacation last Monday 2/1 and I have my car stranded in hotel parking lot by O'hare. My roadside assistance asked me where I want to tow my car and I saw this place as one of the options. I searched for reviews before I pick a company and Magnum Automotive has great reviews so I chose this place and I am happy that I did. The owner Tim went above and beyond with his service. He's very busy but yet when he's done with the car, he asked if I need a ride or a pick up. He personally went and pick me up at my hotel. My battery was the issue and I guess this because it has die once on me before my trip. I should have changed it then. He showed me the report on my old battery and the new battery. He's very honest and his price is cheap! I asked him to add $50 to what he charged me for tip and he told me NO. He said he just wants to help and happy to help. Talk about wow factors! I've totally been WOW-ed then. I was a very satisfied customer.Service: Battery

Tim is amazing and really kind. The nicest experience I've ever had with a mechanic. Highly recommend him to anyone. He took my car in when no one else in the area would. And it was such a simple fix he did it for free. Will continue to go to him for anything I might need in the future. Thanks Tim!

Magnum automotive does a good job he's the best body man I've ever had I brought my Nissan Altima in and when he got done it looks showroom New. Now I have my other car in I trust him with my vehicles. Arrogant owner doesn t like his time wasted but yet wasted my time. Wants photos of the vehicle and over 2 weeks no response. If it s thru your insurance don t waste your time. Owner to busy according to him picks and chooses on what to fix cuz he s a one man job. 0 on the customer service.

Great work.. no complaints about that but the owner can be obnoxious at times and talk to much when it's not needed.. that's the only reason for 3 stars.. cuz the work is great and fast!

Had a tire blowout on my way to work and this was a shop my roadside assistance provided. The owner was quick to assess my tire and wheel. Happened to have a gently used tire one model different from what was on my car. Had me in and out in about an hour. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable despite having a busy morniin. Can't recommend enough.

I work in customer service myself so I completely understand when the workers are frustrated and worked up, but there is no excuse for the unprofessionalism there is no excuse for the way Tim the owner operates that business and how he speaks with people. Don't forget Tim that you need clients to keep that business up and running and if you continue to do things in this way and manner you and your business will not go far at all.-Don't even attempt to even waste your time contacting them to speak with anyone because it's not worth it. it's not worth the headache and frustration.

Tim is great! He is honest and trustworthy and has helped me out of jam on many occasions! I recommend him to all my friends and would take my car to no one else (learned that lesson the hard way!). Finding a mechanic you can trust is hard to find and I am so thankful to know Tim! Don't let his gruff tone fool you, he is very caring and a softy on the inside :)

I called to get a price on a paint job for a rear bumper and the person answering the phone was extremely rude from the beginning. He told me: give me your name and phone number because i am super busy I work on 20 cars a week not just 1 cmon man I m busy and processed to hang up keep in mind that he was rude from the moment he picked up. I understand that shops get busy and its not a easy job but he could of At least had some manners and been nicer??? I don t understand how a shop like that plans on staying in business in the long run considering how bad customer service is and how bad some of the reviews of this place are. I called a different shop right after on Elmhurst rd and there customer service was already so much better.

The man that I spoke to on the phone was absolutely rude. Is arrogant and a know-it-all. You call him and you cannot get a word in edgewise. Complete disruptive. One guy does it all apparently. Hard to understand him with his European accent. Just tried to set up an appointment. Wow how rude. Definitely destroying his business.

Worst place on the F'in planet. My car was hit in October 2020. My insurance cut them a check so I had to go to them for repairs. They were "overwhelmed" so the didn't pick my car up til February of 2021. They cashed the check and my deductible check and still didn't have my car ready til April. Simply ridiculous. The owner was rude and inconsiderate. He lacked professionalism and yell at me cause I called about my car once a week. Honestly ONE STAR is to high Not the insurance issue. They cut you a check FOR THE PRICE that you agreed on. I wrote you my deductible check. You CASHED both checks!! After that it's on you to fix the vehicle in a timely fashion. Not 6 months later. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN RUN FROM THIS PLACE.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto detailing, Wheel alignment

My experience with Tim and this shop is very great. i had a small issue in my car door and he fixed it sooner even though he is occupied with some other work. He is knowledgeable about cars and he answer me in friendly manner to all my questions. I am totally satisfied and visit here in future as well.

Walked in today for misfires. Got my car back already but I must say I have never met such an honest Mechanic before in my life. I appreciate him popping my bumper back in as it was sticking out from a previous accident. His effort in helping to find a solution with this oil mystery I have going on with my vehicle. Truly amazing his honesty on all the work he had done on my vehicle also sharing free information about a noise he heard and a recall I have. Like cmon this is the kind of customer service I have been looking for all my life I appreciate your business!!!!

Great service and very wonderful people to work with! Our car broke down on a trip from North Dakota and Tim got us in and fixed up THAT day so we could head on our way back home. He squeezed us in even when they were busy. Tim was honest about repairs and showed us exactly what was wrong. :)

Magnum Automotive is the go to shop for car my repair needs. Tim , the owner, is very knowledgeable and honest. He and his team does great work and you don t leave his shop feeling like you ve been ripped off for your hard earned money. It s always a pleasure to do business with Tim at Magnum Automotive

No one ever says, ooh, let me take my car to the mechanic with a happy face. But after my first encounter with the fabulous of Mr. Stef, or Timothy as he's known to his clients, I'm so glad that I was referred to his very wonderful business. While preparing a delicious cup of coffee for me, he recounted a brief history of how he came to this country and built his business from nothing into something from Romania. He speaks a few different languages and we had many good laughs during my visit to get my tire pressure checked. You can tell he's totally trustworthy and I had been holding off getting my car worked on for fear of being taken advantage of as a female who doesn't have much knowledge of under the hood stuff but Mr. Stef is totally reliable, trustworthy and charming. He could have been a comedian in a past!! Also a testament to his reputation was the totally packed garage, there was barely even a place to park your car because he had so much business and his healthy number of business accounts. I witnessed his phone ring so many times during my visit and mainly from insurance companies sending their clients vehicles to him. Thank you Mr. Stef.

My car battery was dead during my trip to Chicago. After waiting 3 hours for a roadside assistance provided by Progressive, my car was driven to Magnum Automotive. I did not know the place but I saw the references in google maps. And I have to say that they were fair with the Tim's business. He was really kind, he checked my car immediately and he showed me the approximate cost. He suspected the alternator was broken and he made a price estimation. After a proper car inspection just a small piece was broken, and although he already order a new alternator, he was fair and he did not replace it, just the metallic piece. Finally, the new repair price was down and I could make my trip the same day. I really appreciate that.

I came here with an issue of steering wheel vibration on my Lexus ES350, the owner Tim seemed busy. He did test drive the vehicle and told me that the rotors are worn and even tires need replacement but to be sure asked me to bring vehicle some other day. I went back after few days, he inspected the vehicle and said he will email me the estimate same day by evening for new rotors and tire replacement. Despite of reminding him 3 times the same week, it has now been 2 months and I have not received the estimate. So, I ended up going somewhere else for repairs. The guy seems to have lot of knowledge but too busy and ignores people from whom he thinks could not make much of the money on repairs.

I took my car over to Tim at Magnum after another driver pulled in front of me and messed up the front of my car. The car was dropped off and I drove a rental until my car was fixed.When I went to pick up my car I couldn t believe my eyes! The whole front end looked BETTER THAN NEW !! He did a spectacular job on my car and I would DEFINITELY recommend his business !!

Owner of the shop is a big liar.we made a deal that he will sell me two used cars.on the day of my purchase, he told me that he cant find titles for both cars.i was suspicious that he changed his mind and asked him straight up,if he dont wanna sell it just say it.left him my number and asked him that he will call me when he finds car titles.drove by his shop after 6 months,both cars are gone.
