If you are looking for an honest repair shop for your car whom you can trust then I highly recommend Altimate Auto Repair, Alex (Owner) is an simple and honest person. I moved from Chicago to Dallas but yet to find a local repair shop like Altimate Auto. Whenever I have any doubts about my Auto service I speak to Alex to get his feedback and suggestion. 07/06/23 Altimate Auto Repair mechanic Alex changed the blown headlight bulb of my WV Touareg. Then he did an inspection of the chassis vibration and said that it was necessary to change the front axle shafts. I decided to consult with another auto repair shop and they said that the axle shafts are in order, but the front differential needs to be replaced because it has a lot of play. I went back to Altimate Auto Repair and asked to check the front diff, but mechanic Alex flatly refused to check front differential and very unfriendly sent me to repair a car in another workshop. So I did. I had the front diff replaced and the car runs great. No further replacement of the axle shafts is required. I do not recommend anyone to deal with serious malfunctions to the Altimate Auto Repair mechanic Alex.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I have been coming to Altimate Auto repair to get my cars repaired for the past 18+ years due to my trust that Alex will get the best repairs done at the best prices.I highly recommend Altimate Auto repair for regular car maintenance, wheel Alignment and computer engine & electrical diagnosticsI still come here even though I moved to Schaumburg area and still get the same service and satisfaction

This business was recommended to me. I had previously got an estimate from somewhere else. I decided to bring my car to Alex at Altimate. Brought my parts and Alex was to install them. So he did the work. Then I get a call from Cindy,who was very rude to me, stating it needed something else. So I purchased the part and that was replaced. Then I get another call saying my brake line busted. So he replaced that. I was quoted250.00 + 270.00 +270.00 for labor, minus 20% senior discount. All in a span of 5 days. I went to pickup my car and I had some questions about the repair that was done. Alex says to me , he had to be somewhere in 10minutes and that he would talk to me later. I said that I had questions for him now . He immediately got very belligerent with me and started yelling and screaming at me. He got me so upset that I had tears . As a customer, I have never been treated so badly. He was screaming at me all the way out the door. On the way out, he said if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. Service: Auto brake repair

I brought my 1992 grand am in cause the squirrels ate my wires in 2004 and Alex the owner re did my wires and I ve been going there ever since. The manager Cynde couldn t be any more nicer, such a sweet lady and the mechanics do great work on my cars . Overall not a great experience. I arrived before 8am ( as my appt was at 8, didnt walk out until 10:28am for an oil change and cabin air filter replacement ) i had a few more requests for them to do/look at, but that had already been 2 hours, i retracted those requests mainly based off of how slow they were performing.I was charged $40 for air filter replacement.The price of the oil change and topping off fluids was fair price.I requested a tire rotation, but was told that tires look like they are wearing evenly that i shouldnt have to spend the extra money to do so if its not needed. I know for a fact they need to be rotated. I'll be taking it elsewhere to get this service completed.They did have a great candy dish though. :)Update: I asked if Alex could call me ( as he was out of town when i was there) to chat about some items, he did! I feel a lot of what happened was communication differences. :)Although the end result was not in favorable. i believe you'll love this place ( just like all the good reviews ) and my experience is the anomaly.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Alex, was wonderful to work with. Also, he was professional and responsive about my issue. I had some HID s with ballast and he was able to get them installed for me. My recent HIDs lights where out so I bought new ones and he was able to replace them for me in a timely manner. The lady in the counter was really friendly and helpful and a people s person. Has a great attitude towards her customers. Overall, very pleased with this location. Most mechanics are not very experienced, but Alex has a good reputation and knowledge from just talking with him.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical

We have been going to Alex at Altimate for all of our car repairs for more than 8 years. He and his mechanics are very knowledgeable and perform good work. They are upfront and honest about cost of repairs and time to get the job done. Speaking of honesty, I brought one of our vehicles (an Acura MDX) in to check the brakes because I thought they needed to be done. He checked them and said come back in 6 months for another check, you're good. I trust Alex & his team to do all of our car repairs and general maintenance. He's worked on everything from our '90 Cadillac to our '04 MDX to our newer Sequoia. Great communication from Cynde when working to diagnose and get the total cost of repairs. We highly recommend Altimate Auto Repair. Needed a relatively minor repair, but they took me in right away, were honestly priced, quick turnaround, and just an around pleasurable experience. Shop is clean, employees were great. I'm local, and Altimate Auto will be my first call whenever needed.

So whenever I have car issues, I go to my dealer but this time my car would not start and my dealer was fully booked so I had no choice but to go to an independent dealer and found Altimate with good reviews. I was towed to the shop and Alex told me he had to diagnose what the issue was and told me it was a bad starter. Replaced a starter at a very good price and he even went up and above by checking my fluids, tire pressure and told me I was low on oil so he filled it up. They did a great job on fixing my car and I was on my way and so far so good and I will highly recommend this shop to anyone. These guys are honest and hard working people.

My dad has been going to Altimate for a few years now and keeps going back so I knew that was a good sign. I just brought his car in for an oil change and front brake job and had a great experience. Cynde at the front desk was patient and listened to our needs. We also inquired about repairing/replacing the instrument panel cluster. Most shops I have used in the past are very reluctant to perform this type of repair. Alex explained to us the labor involved and gave us a quote. He understood why we wanted the repair and was not reluctant to tackle the job. Car was ready sooner than expected and is now winter ready for my aging parents. Altimate exceeded my expectations and charges a fair price.I took my teenage daughter's car to Altimate last week for new tires and front and rear brakes. They also fixed an oil leak that has been staining our driveway for months. All of this was done for a very fair price and the staff worked late on the Friday of Labor Day weekend to finish the job. I now feel really good about my daughter driving the car. Thanks Altimate!

I am a customer of Altimate Auto Repair for more than 10 years. They take care all of my cars need. They are cost effective compared to other shops and much better than dealers for any brands. I always suggest to all of my families and friends to bring their cars for oil change to any kind of fixing.Alex & Cynde are professional and would explain to you what's wrong with your car and the best option to fix it. In the Northwest Suburbs one of the BEST Auto Service Station is this.. "Altimate Auto". They offer excellent customer service. They listen patiently to your cars problems and address all your questions. After doing a thorough diagnosis they offer the best guidance. Unlike other service stations you will not find anyone pushy here. Alex is a great technician and above all he is a wonderful human being. He gives complete attention to every detail. I will strongly recommend Altimate Auto for any Auto problems...!!!

Alex is a very knowledgeable mechanic. He knows his business. I'm very picky about anyone working on my car. I trust Alex, I've never had any problem with this shop. At times he can be hard but that is his style, I like that about him. He understands his business and cares about my time. I've been bringing my family's cars to Altimate Trans & Auto for 12 years. I've built a relationship with him and can't see myself going anywhere else.

They say that in your life you need a good Doctor, a good lawyer, a good barber and a good Mechanic that understands your issues and addresses them professionally. I have been taking all my cars to Alex and Cynde for the last 16 years and have always come out of there happy. I have moved out from Wheeling to far west suburbs but still bring my cars to Altimate Autos because Alex and his team of mechanics provide excellent service and reasonable prices.

I drop my van off for change tires and alignment,,and during this they made a huge hole in muffler and pipe was broken from one side,,,,,,when I showed it to Alex he said it is old hole and I drop van with that ( what was not true cus hole was on the side of muffler and its imposible to make it during driving ),,Then he reversed and left,,,,thats how they do business,,,NOT RECOMMENDED !!!here are some picture of rusty muffler with holes !!! Can you see holes???There is only one hole done by you,,, maybe muffler was rusty but its been in one piece

We have been taking all of our cars to Alex for over 15 years. He is the best! The work is always done right at a reasonable price. He will also tell you if something doesn't need to be done, which is the sign of a reputable shop. I would highly recommend them!

Charged me 50$ to hook it up to the machine to see what s wrong said it was shooting off too many things so Alex restarted the battery took a quick ride and somehow determined it was my transmission and that I needed a new one. Thankfully took it for a second opinion and it is not my transmission. So BEWAREI came at 8 am in the morningWednesday the 18th of May

I will use AAR for all my auto repairs. So much better than the Cadillac dealer. Prompt, fair, professional and could not say enough good things about Alex. Was having trouble with my 2001 Infiniti engine, and within 10 minutes the problem was found. Part was then delivered about a half hour later and put into the car. I was in and out quickly and the service was fantastic. The dealership wanted to do $1800 dollars of repairs to my car, but at Altimate I was in and out for 200 dollars. Would highly recommend

A good mechanic is NOT hard to find in Arlington Heights! I highly recommend Altimate Auto Repair! Alex and Cynde are knowledgeable, professional and provide prompt, personalized service at very competitive prices. Check them out the next time you need to service your vehicle. Conveniently located on Rand Rd. near Thomas. Can't recommend these folks enough!

Had car issues, needed a lot of work to be done. I got five estimates, around in the area. Altimate Auto Repair had the best price, and best warranty on the repairs. I had the work done their, they were honest, polite, and friendly.

Altimate auto repair is the best, most honest place in the area. When I was told to check this place out I'll admit I was nervous I usually do all my own work on my vehicles but time restrictions prohibited me from replacing my own fuel pump in my 2000 Cadillac Escalade. Altimate auto repair not only replaced my fuel pump in a timely manner with no problems. They also went above and beyond to make bringing my truck to the mechanic a pleasant experience. If I ever need to bring my vehicle to a shop again this will be THE ONLY PLACE I WOULD BRING MY CAR.
