I have come to this Valvoline a couple of times now and each time has been a wonderful experience. The team members treat each other and me with casual respect and are always professional, yet provide a fun, informative, and relaxed atmosphere. All of the provided services are reasonably priced and no pressure has ever been felt to 'purchase more.'Gratitude to the Valvoline team for each visit so far and each visit to come.

Visited the Valvoline in Alton this morning with a friend who needed an oil change while visiting from out of town. Service was phenomenal. Leadership left a lot to be desired. There was a woman (who I assume is the manager, white woman, older) was fussing at an employee (black woman, younger) about the employee's availability. I heard the employee ask not to discuss it (prob bc the employee was embarrassed this lady was being so unprofessional in front of everybody). It definitely was uncomfortable for the person being yelled at, and left me with a lot of questions about how team members are treated if this is how this woman would act IN FRONT of customers. Optics aren't good.

Took my car there once due to being extremely busy with life. They took the 10 bolts off of the rock and debris shield, reinstalled it backwards with 4 bolts, and charged my wife for high mileage oil on a car with less than 20k miles. I'll will never have anyone else change my oil again.

1st time at this location, not really sure, the guy that pulled me in said why did it take to long to get down under car, heard a lot of banging under car hope all ok and then credit card machine was having issues, hope I am not charge more. I may just go back to my original location.

Been sitting in car for 45 mins now , first tells me sorry no air filter , ok no bigy , then comes back and says we have no oil filter and have to go get one after they already drained oil , after 18 minute wait he comes back and says they gave him wrong filter .Took approx... 45 minutes , sitting in car in bay .They did reimburse me for oil change , but dang make sure you have everything first next time.

Can't stress how kind everyone who works here is. However, Kayden goes above and beyond for every person she interacts with. With an extended wait time (through no fault of the employees), I was kept updated and given an accurate idea of when my services would be done. It's very annoying when you go for an oil change and they try to nickel and dime you with all the other services. If I wanted the other services, i would have asked for them.

Had my oil changed and they did not reattach the cover under the motor and it drags while driving. They also drained my oil onto that insulated cover saturating it in oil. Do not use if you have any cover under your motor. They left the front 2 screws in the cover. This would have taken less time for them than draining it through the insulation. This also continued to drain onto my spotless driveway overnight and now I have an oil stain. DO NOT USE!!Service: Oil change

Can t even tell which way is in or out when coming to this location. There is no marking on the road the arrows are so badly faded, someone is always coming through the do not enter. The parking lot is so badly destroyed I have to goto Midas to get an alignment after. Not to mention if you have to use the bathroom, you can enjoy a hot unstable Johnny on the spot because the bathroom been broken for months

I'm giving it three stars because the attendants that actually do the work deserve 5 stars but tbe woman named kim was so rude to me i waited about 45 minutes for a oil change she motioned for me to pull forward and said you need to listen to what I'm saying I'm not a child and they did not have a air filter for my car and said I could come back..not looking forward to that

I always come here to get my oil changed. I switched from rapid lube to Valvoline over 2 years ago. The first time I came there were slammed and working their butts off with only one bay open. As I m here today for another oil change the woman came up to me asking why service I needed and let me know there were only 2 workers today. TWO! They re 6 cars heres waiting. These two folks are hustling to get everything done. Not in a sloppy way either, they re still doing their job making sure everyone is taken care of. These two have great communication and are getting everyone in and out as quickly and efficiently that they can. I hope the owners appreciate them as much as their customers do.

Wouldn t recommend, they drained out 12 quarts of and swore that the van takes 6 quarts which it s actually 12 quarts. Then proceeded to only put 6 quarts back in.

This is my go to place. I love how through they are and always top.off my fluids. However, my most recent experience was very unfavorable. They did not check my lights, they didn't top off my fluids, they didn't ask to change my windsheild wipers, and I change them every 6 months and was due. I felt unseen and unheard and I really hate that from my favorite oil change place. They didn't even ask to change my air filter which I know for a fact needs done and I was ready to buy it. They spoke down to me and I don't know if I want to return to this valvoline. Usually they are so nice and helpful and I truly felt like they cared about me and my car, this last time has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if I'll be returning now.

By far the best place to get an oil change. They are quick and the service is top tier. Michael is so nice and courteous. His buddy down below doing the oil change is amazing as well. Went here for the first time with my 2022 Mazda 3-I travel cross country a lot so have experienced many oil change places. The staff was so friendly loving on my dog in the trunk and were very professional and helpful with my questions. Kim was cheerful & kind-she deserves a bonus!

Very organized. They made sure everyone was seen in the order they arrived, even if it meant asking someone to move to another line, which was appreciated-even though I was asked to move. Service was quick and efficient.

These men were all awesome!Bay 1 was closed due to some oil leaking issues they were in the process of trying to fix it. You could tell a lot of stuff just kept going wrong today for them, they were busy and a little frustrated. BUT they made sure at least one of them came out and let every car waiting know how long the wait would be, explained what was going on and apologized. They apologized out of something that was completely out of their control.Amazing customer service and by just observing these men work, they are an amazing team together, well organized (well, as much as you can be) great communication skills with each other and who is doing what. And to top it all off THEY WERE NICE.It s crazy to me how many time I ve been to rapid lube and every time I ve gone, they are rude and stand offish. Not here.10/10 recommend Valvoline.Thank you Service: Oil change

I haven t had the best experience at this location, I was double charged for an oil change that involved a Groupon (no big deal, accidents happen) the next day I called the manager Kimberly to have her fix the issue. I was told since it had been longer than 24hrs (it hadn t and I did voice that but was ignored) I was informed I had to call customer care to fix the issue. I would 100% understand having to call on my own if this mistake was my fault but it was an accident on behalf of her team. Im disappointed in how I was treated considering I very nicely asked for the issue to be researched and resolved.I did get in contact with customer care who was a nice breath of fresh air and apologized on behalf of the store s behavior and resolved my billing dispute, but I do feel the store manager should have handled it.Service: Oil change

Got my first oil change with them. They were so helpful on the phone and answered all my questions. When I got there they came and greeted me with a warm welcome! The service took a total of 7 minutes!! So quick and easy. They were very thorough and walked me through all the services they offered and gave me recommendations for services on my car along with a detailed report! They didn t just do an oil change, they checked all my fluids, tire pressure, engine, lights, etc. without any included costs! Highly recommend!

Using my daughters car to take our grandson to school. The oil light was on. Kenneth was very professional and polite. Oil was changed in less than 12 minutes with air added to tires and other items checked. I feel very relieved that my daughter s car has been serviced. First time customer who will definitely be back!Keisha was the technician who serviced my vehicle. She was very friendly, informative and thorough. She hit everything on the entire list of maintenance checks without being asked. After the oil change was complete, Keisha even brought my vehicle s dip stick to my window to show me that the oil had been filled to the proper level.I liked being able to stay in my vehicle so I could see exactly what was being done (unlike many other oil change services who take your vehicle and send you to a waiting room.) There was no wondering if something had been done. Two camera views allow you to watch on a screen (above and below your vehicle) as technicians work. Keisha did advise me of additional services I could have done at my visit, but there was no pressure to purchase.I waited 5 minutes to be brought into the service bay as they were full when I arrived. Total time in the service bay was 20 minutes.Price for full service oil change with synthetic was $95. I hit the national website and found a $10 coupon, then hit the local website and found a $15 coupon. Total out the door price with tax was just under $80.DEFINITELY worth the price for such a thorough oil change with great customer service!!!

This was my go to place until they have managed to mess up all 3 of our cars. Started with jeep. Had tires rotated. Went to work on jeep and couldn t get a lug nut off. They sent me to NTB and I had to wait an hour for it to be fixed. It had to broken off and stud and nut replaced. Next my son took his car in. They talked him into transmission fluid change. They had no idea what they were doing. He was there for an hour while they tried to figure it out. They sent him home low on transmission fluid. When he went to leave for work his car would not move. They had to replace transmission. They did not even offer him a rental. 2 weeks later he finally got his car back. I should have learned my lesson but I decided to take my car in for oil change. Should be pretty simple. Oil change is in the name after all. Thank god I was listening because they tried to put 0w20 in my car. When I asked he said that s what we have always put in it. The cap where they put the oil clearly says 5w20. I will never take any car there again and will make sure everyone I know reads this before they take their cars there.Services: Transmission, Tires, Oil change

$60 for an oil change and they didn't even check my air pressure in my tires or do something as simple as clean my windshield. This business has fallen off. They do alot of talking to make u seem like they are really involved but its all for show. I usually don't go here but needed oil changed ASAP and the place I usually take it was closed on Sundays. Now I remember why I don't go there.
