Great dealership to work with. While new cars were increasingly hard to find, Kevin worked with me remotely until my vehicle came in. Seamless process, great customer service. Knowledgeable sales reps and financial planning. Daniel was incredibly helpful in picking out extended warranties and what each piece actually meant. Katie was also amazing at helping set up our new Toyota app and settings in the vehicle. Thank you for our new Rav 4 XSE Hybrid!

I would just like to say big thanks to Scott, Josh and Kevin at the Alton location, they serviced my 21 tacome and replaced a pretty significant part that would have taken a local shop at least a week to finish at best. it wasn't a easy job, and they had it finished in 3 days. so happy with the service and friendly atmosphere and willingness to take care of their customers. I highly recommend asking for Scott Turner if interested in a vehicle, and fully trust the service department Josh and Kevin and the rest of the guys. Great team of people, thanks again.

No sales pressure or unwanted calls from a salesperson after the test drive.Very straightforward answers to all my questions. I was pleased with the asking price. Very competitive price when compared to the nationwide market. Willing to negotiate to make me more comfortable with the final price. Excellent buying experience!

Huge waste of gas, time, and energy. I went to the dealership yesterday and was basically dismissed to a table where my salesman, Evan Kelly, said maybe 20 words to me the whole time and made me feel like I was wasting his time. I understand it was the end of the day, however I left work early arranged child care and had a co-worker go with me to look at a car I had been talking with Evan about the whole day. I was told that the banks were closed by the time I applied for financing even though I had applied online before I had even gone to the dealership. I was told that I would be contacted first thing in the morning, yet I had to reach out to my salesman this morning to ask about the status, was told he d be in contact within two hours and here we are almost five hours later and all I have are a lot of credit inquiries and no information. Take your money somewhere else, Mungenast doesn t take care of its customers. Evan, you could use some work on your people skills.

Going the Extra Mile! I want to give a shout out to Alton Toyota located in Alton, IL and specifically, their Finance Mgr., Matt Phillips for going above and beyond. I am from St. Louis, MO and recently bought a 2024 Toyota Prius from a Central Illinois dealership located about 3 hours from St. Louis. (Note: There were no Prius' available for sale locally.) For almost 2 weeks, I have been waiting for the Title paperwork from the IL dealership where the car was purchased not knowing how to get this information, I called Alton Toyota, located near St. Louis for advice. Even though I did not buy the car from Alton Toyota, the Finance Mgr., Matt, graciously explained exactly what I should do to track down the Title Paperwork for my new car. Talk about customer service and going the extra mile; Alton Toyota, in my book, is a 5-star company, with above & beyond customer service, and one that I will never forget. Thank you, Matt!

Made 3:20 appointment for Monday for 1st time service. Not in system when I arrived at 3:05. Drove almost an hour to get there. Service lady said they are really behind and seven in front of me. She said my appointment was Tuesday. I told her since Monday was a holiday that would work best for me and that is what we scheduled on phone last week. She said, "you will have a long wait". I told her I am here at my scheduled appointment. 5:00 my car was ready. I mentioned at check out since there is a huge sign, if not happy let us know. I told her and she said too many people make appointments and nothing can be done... . I took my papers and walked out. Not the service I expected for my first service, very disappointed.

This dealership is clearly one of the best! So easy to deal with and great customer service! From the point of contact with Amber to inquire about the car , she was so helpful, caring. and understanding. We are from Michigan and wanted to be sure the vehicle was what we wanted and that it not be sold before we made the trip down. Amber met us there and the car was in showroom condition! The sale went so smoothly and everyone there was super friendly.After getting the car back home we noticed a small vibration with the transmission. We took the car to a dealer in our area to diagnoses the problem. We contacted Kevin the service manager and he was so easy to deal with and took care of the repair in Michigan! I have NEVER had such a great experience with any other dealership! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone including those who may purchase from out of state as they truly care about their customers!! Tom & Cheryl Holbeck

Best car buying experience we have ever had. Jason was able to secure the exact truck we wanted and get into to their showroom within just a few days. He also went through every detail and feature with us inside the new truck. We are absolutely in love with this truck. Danny was super efficient and friendly during the time we were singing all our financial documents. He made us crack up more than a few times. Thank you all so much for making this our best car buying experience we have ever had. Will definitely go back when we are ready for that new 4Runner.

Amber was great to work with for a new vehicle. The dealership didn't charge over MSRP, require add-ons, or other made-up fees during the part shortages like some other Toyota dealerships were doing. I'd consider buying another vehicle from them again.

Unfortunately I have to update my review as service after the sale has been quite disappointing. My original experience purchasing was really great and I had given them a 5 star glowing review in January.Today I updated it to a 2 star due to having to chase people for answers and updates then calling Toyota myself to get it straightened out. An error by the dealership caused a delay in a refund I was due and should have arrived mid October. At the end of October I asked for an update when the check hadn t arrived. That email was ignored for a week. I reached out again last night, copying a manager and finally received a response this morning and called Toyota myself. While Toyota has now handled the issue, I had to start the process from the beginning to correct the dealership s mistake and will not get the funds due to me until mid December. I am empathetic as we are all capable of human error but attention to detail in this industry is paramount and I shouldn t have had to chase them down for answers and help.

Like everyone else, I dread going to the dealership for repairs fearing the high cost. However, there s no escaping there are some repairs you only trust to the skilled automotive technicians found at the dealership.I needed a timing belt and water pump on my son s recently purchased Lexus RX 330. Mike is service was very helpful and professional. When I arrived, he wrote the repair up quickly and directed me to the rental counter. Julie (Rental Manager) provided me with an excellent rental for the day and had a wonderful disposition for that early in the morning. While at work Mike gave me a call and recommended additional service I might consider. It was an excellent recommendation.When I returned to pick-up my car, I was pleasantly surprised with more than reasonable repair (value) cost. I would strongly recommend that anyone needing the same repair go to the Alton Mungenast Toyota, and speak with Mike.

I took my vehicle to a different business because my air conditioning was not blowing cold air. The different business said there were no leaks or issues. After I called the other business back because of air conditioning issues still and was told they would have to call me back...never to call me back. Called my Hyundai dealership, and they told me that the soonest they could get me in a month and a half away. Called TOYOTA, AND THEY GOT ME WITHIN 3 DAYS!!!! They got my car and called me back just a few hours later! They fixed all the problems! I HIGHLY recommend Toyota, it was very fairly priced and EVERYONE was so kind and courteous! Special thanks to Mike Young and Brian in service! Toyota in Alton IL will always be my go to car place!

My wife and I were very pleased after purchasing our used 2015 Subaru Forester from your dealership in September of 2020. We started shopping for a used Subaru back in July and spent hours upon hours looking at online listing sites and visiting several dealerships. Without a doubt, our experience at Alton Toyota was the best experience we've had since we began our search. Not only did you have the car I wanted, but your staff was genuinely friendly and provided a refreshing balance between being attentive and giving us space to make decisions. I applaud the ownership and management for putting the customer's needs first! If only other companies would do the same.

We had the pleasure of working with Jason Sherrill . His communication was always timely (even returned our messages when he was on vacation) and was so patient with all of our questions. Despite our indecisiveness about a car, he helped us through the process and made everything so easy. He ordered the car for us, communicated timelines and always kept us updated. From beginning til end the process was smooth and easy, even picked me up at the train station since I came from out of town. We dealt with a ton of dealerships before finally purchasing and we were fortunate to have found an honest salesman and a dealership that didn't charge over MSRP and were clear about pricing and didn't have us questioning what was what.

Elizabeth scheduled my service and was extremely nice, helpful, & went above and beyond by offering to ask a staff member if they could shuttle me home. I didn t end up needing a ride because the service was so fast, but it was greatly appreciated. Also, after my service they washed my vehicle which was surprising!! Great service & staff!

We bought two vehicles from them, and one turned into a nightmare. Four transmissions, three batteries, and too many tow trips, we're still stuck with this vehicle. They say they're sorry, but when we tried to trade out, they said we were too upside down to help, so just keep sucking that lemon. Thanks a lot. Wouldn't recommend them. We were able to get out of the vehicle through someone else, at no cost to us. Definitely go somewhere else.

I can t recommend this dealer enough! And Jason Sherrill is awesome. In a world where buying a new car is very difficult, he made it extremely easy. And they gave me a fair price for my trade in. No weird fees, no mark ups, no marker adjustments. They were transparent, helpful and great with communication.

Went in for service to have a leak repaired on my tire that I had just discovered. Whoever the service advisor was seemed annoyed that I was there and rushed me through the check in process. I asked that my other tires be checked and filled since it had been 5k since they last were and I was sure they needed it. I was told they would be. When I received my truck back the other tires hadn't been touched and I had a nearly 10psi difference between the repaired tire and the other 3. I was then charged nearly $40 for the repair when I paid extra for the Toyota care package, which covers these repairs, when I purchased my truck new. This was my first and last time at this dealership. Do better.

Had the best buying experience with Jason Sherrill there. All the way from our first interaction through driving off the lot in the new car. No pressure, great communication, and the whole team there went out of their way to help us - clear communication, sending photos of the car for us to review, and they even coordinated the closing with our bank saving us an extra errand leading up to the purchase. I d highly recommend anyone in the market for a new or used car to reach out to Alton Toyota.

The worst experience ever. I ve been told to discuss my buying a car with my husband. When I said I m not married, the dealer repeated it. Since then, I ve tried to receive help from Toyota. Com who told me the dealership was treating me like a guaranteed sale that can sit there and wait. When I told the dealership that, I was called a bully, and now that I still won t take the cars that they want me to take instead of the one I went in there to buy I received a message saying, you re killing me. How so? Because I still want the same car I went in there for and have waited on a waiting list 6 months for and not buying the ones that they need to get rid of? This has been the absolute worst experience spending over $50,000. I would NEVER recommend this place. EVER.
