Had a used car inspection done by these guys. John was very helpful and straightforward going above and beyond to help us out. Saved us from buying a truck from a sketchy dealership after they tried to cover up a brake issue.

Took my 2002 BMW Z3 Roadster classic in for repairs. The 20 year old car was in bad shape. John and the crew took a look at car to see what needed repair. The looked the car over and made suggestions to make car road worthy again.Well I got a reasonable estimate and had car repaired . All issues were taken care of and now runs and looks great. Making my classic a great ride again. I recommend Hi Tech great service and fair.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Oil change

This is probably hands down the best auto shop in the chicagoland area that I have ever come across. I stumbled upon this auto shop back when I was living in Chicago years ago. ANYTIME and I truly mean ANYTIME I had an issue with any vehicle I owned I drove from the city to Addison to get my car worked on. John was always honest about what needs to be done and what could wait to get fixed. Even when I'm in town and visiting from out of town I always recommend his shop to family and friends. One time I really wanted him to do the work on one of my older cars a guy had a better price but all I asked John to do was to match the price and you have my business only because I trusted him so much and he agreed!!! I will say the only bad thing about this is the man has so much business coming his way from the great work that he does that hell you can't walk in and get a simple oil change anymore unless its on certain days and you call ahead, but hey that's the price you pay when you do great work for a fair price. If I could give a higher review I would! Also if you see a review of anything lower than a 5 star review either somebody is lying, trying to drag is name in the mud, or has the wrong shop.

We have been taking our cars to John at Hi Tech for years. We trust what he has to say and know that he ll get the job done. He s got fair pricing and explains what is needed before the work is done. Great mechanics shop.

Recently moved to the area and haven t taken my car anywhere else. They are honest with pricing (even encourage you to price check), have a text line, and get the job done. I had to bring my car in countless times for one issue and they helped get to the bottom of the problem without upcharging me. Really appreciate the time & effort they put into fixing my car!

John and his team at hi tech were the nicest guys. John explained everything that was wrong with my truck . I was very worried that it was going to cost me a lot of money. But some stuff could wait for a later time .I would recommend this 100 times over . John is very customer oriented and he is out to please all

Unparalleled service. I was shopping for a car from out of state and used Hi-Tech for a pre purchase inspection. I was blown away with not just their thoroughness of the inspection but also the transparency provided and their patience with my follow up questions even days after the inspection. If they do that just for an inspection I can only imagine the quality of their work.

Just wanted to say thank you guys for all the help you provided. You guys really "came in clutch when my clutch went out!"" I was stuck in Illinois for a few days because of my car and these guyshelped me get back on the road really quick so that I could make it las vegas from NY. I can't recommend these guys enough they really did a great job and provided really great updates!

Great trustworthy mechanic. Pre inspection purchase and brought it here. The guy there after inspecting really made me comfortable and told me it was a good vehicle and pointed out some things I would need to do. He wrote me a fair quote and made me feel comfortable with my purchase.

John and Team -I can not Thank you enough for doing an amazing job with my 2011 Camry. As I explained to John, my car needed attention, I was extremely embarrassed and I was not sure if the car could be saved. John reassured me the car could be saved and it would be ok. I own a business here in Addison and not only do I have Hi Tech do all the maintenance on my own vehicle but they also do all themaintenance on my company vehicle. They are extremely thorough in evaluating everything that needs to be done to the vehicle and also make sure that I know the cost to make the repairs before they even start any repair. It's a good feeling to know that when you come to pick up your vehicle the proper repairs have been made. I would highly recommend Hi Tech Auto to anyone that need automotive work done to their vehicle.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Oil change

Overall, a pretty friendly staff. I did not have a good experience. Took them parts of 3 days to find out what the issue was. Telling me it was a free check to see what s wrong, then saying a diagnostic test there would be a charge after I got my car fixed at another shop. Communication and documentation is non existent which is the cause of my frustration. They left their part in my car then after getting it fixed at another service shop, and said to pay or will file a police report. Never knew their part was in my car. My experience was very poor and frustrating.

These guys are the best at what they say they do or they will make it right.I own a small business with 17 car's ,SUV and pick up trucks.I have known and used this shop for over 15 years without ever any regret.You can trust what the owner John says about what your car or truck needs.Very fair a truthful repair shop and I would highly recommend them to anyone, God bless John and thanks for all you have done in the past for me and my company's auto's.If you go anywhere else you could be making a mistake , FYI I did a few years back and regretted it.Never again .

Brought in a sprinter pro master van to be serviced and I was told that it would be 5 days for the completion of the job. Ten days later the van was not completed and the owner became rude and argumentative on the phone about me calling to inquire about the van. The owner was disrespectful and brash. Going as far as calling my wife a Karen and we proceeded to let him know a Karen is referred to Caucasian individuals. Telling us he would not do a complete inspection of the vehicle as promised because we kept calling to inquire about the van. The tone and bad customer service from this owner will have you unsure about there quality of work. I highly recommend nobody to use there services and the tone and language used by this owner would have wonder if his is a raciest at heart.Service: Transmission replacement

I ve been going to Hi tech for about 14 years. Ever since I got my first vehicle. My whole family goes to hi tech and they have for decades. Never had a bad experience with them. Very reasonable and reliable mechanics. Living out of state I really missed their service. Having John and his crew at the ready to take care of any problem I have is probably the only upside of being back in Illinois.

Does not honor warranty's. Two issues regarding the same type of situation. Would not correct a repair completed 6 months prior and wouldn't honor a lifetime warranty on tires purchased in the same year. Owner totally non-professional. Not only did they lose me as a customer, but also my family, girlfriend and her family.

I've been taking my 2015 VW Jetta here for years since I first got my car and if I could give John and his team at Hi-Tech a 10 star review I would. I've gotten my whole family to start taking their cars to him for repairs/maintenance and they've never been happier. If you're taking your car anywhere else but here, you're doing it wrong.John and his team go out of their way to give you the best customer experience as soon as you walk through their door. This is the only place I trust to bring my car. The amount of knowledge and expertise the Hi-Tech team has really shines through their excellent work. John and his team are really honest people and you know when you drop off your car here, you're in good hands!It's bitter-sweet for me to leave this review because we're in the process of moving to Tennessee and knowing I won't be able to bring my car here anymore makes me sad! Probably the only thing I'll miss about living in Illinois.John and team, thank you so much for all the hard work you've put in over the years, we all can't thank you enough! Keep doing what you guys do. You guys rock!

The kindness, excellent service, fair pricing, accommodation, (and many laughs) have been outstanding. When I moved with my job to Houston, Texas for 3 years, I always contacted John for advise on anything related to my car and he always guided me in the right direction.The past year (2020) has held a lot of frustration for us all ..yet I found that once again when I had more issues with my car, this team was available.. I do not take GREAT QUALITY like this for granted! I always refer my friends & coworkers to Hi Tech Automotive for all their car fixes. Such a great experience with John! I am in Kansas city and was looking to buy a car in Chicago. The car looked absolutely perfect online and the sales person said there were no problems. I wanted to find a good automotive repair shop to evaluate the car before I bought it. John and his team looked the car over and provided excellent report on the condition. Long story short, the car was a train wreck and I m so thankful the John and his team saved me from making a big mistake. Very honest and trustworthy. Thank you John!

John and his team are the best. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Completely truthful and very knowledgeable. I have been taking my vehicle to Hi-Tech Auto Repair for a few years now, and recently both of my sons have joined me in trusting their vehicles to John as well. I have gotten to know John and completely trust John's opinion and advise. John clearly takes pride in his skill and the service he provides. With John and his team, you are going to get that old school personal small business service. John has personally gone above and beyond, providing the upmost care to ensure that myself and my children are driving in safe, reliable vehicles. They do what they say, otherwise John will make it right. And John has never tried to unnecessarily "upsell" us or tell us we need repairs prematurely just to make a profit. If John tells us we need something repaired, then we need it. I wouldn't trust our vehicles with anyone else. I've been getting my Vehicle serviced at Hi-tech in Addison for 10yrs now and my Husband has also been a satisfied customer for over 30years...John always goes above and beyond for his customers... Why bother with the rest when you already have the best!
